As a local, I gave Bells Market a chance. At first it wasnt all too bad, but after shopping there a few times I started to become that "unsatisfied customer." I understand that this is a foreign market and that Bells Market caters to a varied group of nationalitys. My Interaction with some of the staff, especially in the Prepared foods section was not always pleasant, at least 9 times out of 10 I would get a Person with very little social skills and with very arrogant attitudes, fine I kinda just dealt with it for a while and overlooked that kind of stuff. The cleanliness of the store I would have to say 2 out of 10. Their convayer belts are always dirty, Staff are not properly trained to handle food in the prepared foods department, Some of there poultry and meats that are markets up because they marked the product Organic, but are not in fact organic or even even stamped with a USDA confirmation inspection tag. A lot of there products are old, I purchased Palmolive Dish cleaning detergent once and It must have had shelf life of over 10 years. I could not even use the stuff as it was already too old all I would get out of the bottle was glumps of non-foaming liquid and an odor that was not even of what the bottle said, (Citrus Scent) was more like bland glue scent. After today I Promise not to enter that store after I made a recent purchase two different brands of green tea. I tried the product at home and was very disappointed to find that this product was not only not of green tea quality, it was old and one box marked organic. I wanted to return the Item and let me make it clear, I did not have my receipt with me and only asked if I could get a store credit. The Customer service clerk immediately rolled her eyes and me and did some spit sound with her mouth. She then proceeds to go see if she even had the item in the stores and comes back with 2 of the items I wanted to return, She asked me where was the original packaging and she didnt even give me a chance to explain why I was returning the product, I explained and then she tells me it was open and that she will not return it. I then asked for the floor manager. She proceeds to grab a store manager. When the manager returns, The Manager stands at least 10 feet away from me and asked me "How can I help you? I proceed to explain that the 2 items that I purchased from the store did not hold up to good quality standards and that I wanted to try something else. She refused and then Explains to me that in her 15 years as an employee no one has ever complained about this item. She also said that this was a Russian Item why would you pick a Russian item, this is a Russian store and this item as well is a Russian product. If I am not Russian then I should not be choosing these types of products. I asked her if that was her final answer and she said yes. that was her reasoning for not returning the item. I will never again step foot into a Bells Market store that only caters to there kind of people. I spent lots of money in Bells Market only to be treated like I am person that not deserve the same treatment as their own people.

Marrying into a Eastern European family has its perks. Discovering this gem was a blessing. Ingredients for Eastern European meals are all at hand here. Smoked fish and Lithuanian bread are the reasons I go. But I always get apples carrots and cabbage at better prices than anywhere else and treat myself with chocolate halva and fresh baked preserve filled croissants and flavored loose leaf herbal and black teas. I can go on forever about the cold cuts and the prepared foods and the exquisite cakes but the real stars are the people. They are nice and to the point in a very European way. Go for the prices or go to be transported to a different part of the world. You wont be disappointed.

Very bad place to shop.This place is completely racist and if your of African American decent or any other decent other then white you will get all sorts of funny looks from all the illegal foreign speaking people around. I shop there often and it is a very poor quality store. Only positive thing is that they do have erotic foods and have pretty decent prices on some of the products while others are way to overpriced. Also saw a spider on floor once Do your self a favor and dont shop there

Great supermarket, unfortunately it is very out of the way as I live in the city. They have a large selection of Russian plus other ethnic food items. There is a section with prepared salads (I bought an eggplant one which was amazing!), a meat section with a lot of processed sausages, and a large baked good section that has prepared baked foods like meat pies and blintzes as well as a dessert section and fresh bread section. It definitely is a place I can see myself going to more often!

I come here in the morning with my mom to buy some fruits, vegetables and deli. We come here because it is close to home and walking distance. There are a lot of good stuff here. Especially the fruits and vegetable. They are always on sale so it is very affordable. The only bad part is that some of the aisles are not very clean. It felt uncomfortable walking in some aisles. But overalls their fruits and deli are very fresh. Customer service is very friendly and helpful.

Faces of marble, no feeling, no manners,... One of the businesses I like to go just to thank God for His Blessings, because these people are not grateful for anything in life. You thank them for handling you the bag, or charging you, and you repeat second and third time, they dont say a word not look at you. From here I like the bread, and a special butter, other than that I just keep praising the Lord... and laugh.

I would give lower star than a zero if I could but Google doesnt allow us but he staff in the sausage department was apparently harassing my wife today because she was with an older person that she works with and apparently they told her that she was a slave to the elderly person. I wouldnt recommend anyone going there because theyre all are judging and racists.

Used to shop there when I was living in the area and they always had fresh product. Stopped by there recently when I was in the area and was very disappointed. The fruits and vegetables seemed like they were laying there for days. The store was like a ghost town, almost no customers. What happened?

LOVE IT! We trekked over an hour there for the authentic Russian foods I was craving since my last visit there many years ago and this place, both with prepared foods and make at home foods, did not disappoint! We event got a great recommendation for a delicious Russian restaurant on our way home.

This is one of those gem markets. The produce section is the best because its ALWAYS well stocked and the food is fresh. The bread section is phenomenal as everything is made fresh right there. Its like traveling to a Russian version of the Italian Market. Love this spot.
