I, being a freckled Irish girl, cant pretend to have an extensive knowledge of African food. This is why I liked Soitis so much! The staff were very friendly and the store felt homey (complete with unusually sweet kids that greeted us and held the door open.) I love cooking and experimenting with new foods, and the woman behind the counter didnt bat an eyelash at all of the "What is this and how do I cook it?" questions. I would highly recommend Soitis. ......but not Malta.

I agree that the people here are lovely, but they never have any staples (i.e. Milk.) On the rare occassion that they do, the expiration date is the following day. I love to shop at small businesses and will continue to give them chances, but it isnt too much to expect that a family-run grocer will cary the basics as well as specialty items.
