Staff has consistently been able to help me find exactly what I need, even when Im not sure what I need, or offer suggestions for a project Im working on. IDK if its family owned but it seems like it caz Ive seen the same faces there year after year. (For the reviewer who wrote that they arent friendly: these people are ALWAYS busy working, so they may not be in your face asking you if you need help, but they have ALWAYS assisted me promptly whenever Ive needed help. And Ive always gotten a smile or smile and a "Hello" when I come through the doors.) Their prices are very good (often better than Home Depot). I only go to Home Depot if A&R doesnt carry something and isnt able to order it. Im so thrilled we have this business in our community!!!

Im a local Contractor / Handyman and prefer to do business with A&R over the big box stores. Most of the time they have what I need, they are patient with me and helpful on the phone when I call to check on the availability and prices of the items I am looking for. Recently I special ordered molding that was wrong when it arrived and they took it back and ordered the correct molding for me even though they probably lost money on that deal. I highly recommend them and will continue to buy from them, They save me a trip down the mountain and buying there supports local business!

I use A&R all the time because its local for me and they have just about everything that you are looking for at decent prices. The staff is always very helpful and kind unlike lowes more similar to home depot where they have some knowledge. A&R staff are pros in all areas so its a wonderful place to get advice on projects. They can walk you through anything you want to do or build. Its kind of like having family in the store.

Its an ok hardware store they actually do have most items there. Most of the staff is really good. Few sour apples mostly inside workers too. Asked few workers for help most gave help but quickly when a employee Mark came over explained the differences in sealer that i needed and was thrilled cause i almost left. Thanks again!

Way more expensive for gravel than any other building supply stores. Owner isnt very nice, and neither is his staff. A few of them have been very rude. I purchase many tons of gravel here because its the only place around, wish there was an alternative.Guys working in the yard are very nice though.

They have most of what I need, but usually have something for decorating that the big box stores dont carry. Their prices are reasonable for the area (spend the money on gas to go to a big box store or pay a little extra for convenience and great customer service). Love this place!!!
