My bike wasnt in very good shape. The front derailleur slid freely up and down the shaft, the rear derailleur was misaligned and scraped against the chain, the chain and cogs were rusted, and there was crystallized grime all over the bike. For the $50 flat fee I was charged for the check-up and maintenance, Mr. Lowe did all of the adjustments and repairs one would expect in addition to cleaning-off all the rust and grime. My bike came out almost looking new. Not one to simply be pleased by a book with a pretty cover, I rode the bike around to make sure each of the gears changed smoothly without any "funny stuff" happening. The brakes were tightened and work fantastically. The wheels are properly aligned/trued. The bike rides like a dream, and I immediately rode the nearby trail and neighborhoods in its entirety with no problems. The store itself is a decent size and is neat and easy to walk through. The selection isnt huge but the quality and variety of bikes available makes up for it. In addition to having bikes and bike accessories, this store also has a decent selection of snowboards, skateboards (and longboard skateboard), and respective accessories. I dont snowboard, so I cant speak too much for their inventory in that regard. Their longboard skateboard variety is pretty good non-dedicated skate shop though they do not have any longboard-specific components to customize your longboard. The safety gear for skateboards was limited to ProTec, and there werent any full-face helmets. One cool thing about the shop is their snack bar which I assume is used during organizational events, but I didnt bother to ask about it. A complaint of mine was that I was not notified when the work on my bike was completed. However, the staff was patient and polite during my repeated calls following the first estimated completion date I was given. In their defense however, the first estimated completion date landed on a holiday, an honest mistake. Work was completed within two days of that. Im a firm believer that good quality worksmanship is worth a reasonable wait. Whenever I walked into the store, I saw that Mr. Lowe was busy working on a bike. He trusted his employees to take care of the other store duties but was polite when he had to handle things directly. Overall, Id recommend LoweRiders Bikes and Boards. The location is convenient and very close to an easy, scenic, paved trail. Im very happy with the work done on my bike; its given it new life and rides even better than the day I bought it. Im new to the area, so I cant fully verify the validity of the following statement yet, but my impression is that they seem pretty supportive of the local scene which is always a plus for local shops.

Weve all shopped at many places but very few of them have the panache that makes us excited to do so. Weve all been to quite a few bike shops but I havent found one that has the consistently warm & helpful attitude that the staff at Loweriders has. They arent there to just sell bikes & boards, they are there to build long lasting relationships with their clients. This is evident in the fact that they provide a complete support staff & community center which organize both group road rides & MTB rides for varying skill levels. Clientele and personnel are, in a lot of cases, on a first name basis. They offer competitive repair rates with excellent turnaround times & a knowledgeable seasoned staff. Purchasing from Loweriders is always a good experience. They listen to what you you would like and work within your budget without any pressure to buy beyond your limits. They have an excellent repeat customer rewards card & even offer a buyback program for bike upgrades. I am grateful and it is definitely a privilege that Loweriders is my LBS.

I was in the market for a new mountain bike, and after visiting multiple bike shops this was the best bar none. Could I have maybe gotten a better deal elsewhere at another shop maybe, but the customer service is what sold the bike. When you treat your customers right they will buy from you over and over, and I did not mind paying the price for the bike when you have great customer service like these guys. I had many questions as I have not purchased a mountain bike in 15 years, and bike technology has come a long way. This place gave me a good deal on my trade-in and after riding multiple bikes at their shop and other shops; I came back to lowriders and bought the Specialized Pitch Sport 650B and I love it. The other 3 bikes shops I visited had grumpy rude pushy staff (take note Bike Line, Martins and Dtown bike shop you lost my business because of that).

I have been on the hunt for a new road bike for over a year and have visited several shops in the Tri-County area, I was like Goldilocks looking for the JUST RIGHT Fit in a shop and a bike...I met Andy at a local Tri-Club event and knew right away his shop might be just what I was looking for and he invited me in to come take a look. From the moment I walked in I was greeted and treated with respect and we got down to business in finding me a new ride... From the moment my order was placed to the day I brought my new ride home this shop was on top of things even when pick up was delayed they owned the set back and took full responsability. I truly cant say enough good things about this positive experience. Great place to do business!!! Customer service is key and you cant go wrong by shopping/buying here...

Great place to rent a snowboard for the season and less expensive than the local competition. They are a bike, snowboard and skate shop with something for everyone. They also have a selection of gently used high quality bikes. They repaired my jogger that had many miles on it and some wear and tear. I found them extremely easy to deal with and well organized. They sell great products and if they dont have something, they will check to see if they can get it for you. Friendly, helpful, and fair prices. The owner is onsite, is hands on and cares about the service his store offers and products he sells.

Loweriders has been my go to local shop for years and I wouldnt take my bike anywhere else. I have had nothing but great experiences here with their staff and service. My bike has been in a number of times and their mechanics have been awesome. Their crew has always been really helpful in explaining any needed repairs and they set my girlfriend up with a great mountain bike! Downingtown is lucky to have such an awesome shop to compliment the vast local network of mountain bike trails, rolling hills and twisty roads.

My husband recently bought in his old Jamis metal framed bike to get tuned. I didnt get the guys name who wrapped my husbands handle bars or tuned it up but they did a great job. My used purchased bike goes in on Monday for handle bar wraps. Today Nick helped me with my Jamis bike purchase. He tuned it up really nice for me and was extremely patient. Andy rang me up and was quite informative about bike pants and bike sneakers. I highly recommend buying or bringing an existing bike to Low Riders.
