Pros: good quality furniture and really friendly and accommodating delivery team Cons: a little over priced in my opinion and the employee in the store that I dealt with was not the best. To elaborate, I was guaranteed that our furniture would be delivered within 30 days and the woman who helped us stressed that on average furniture was delivered in 10 days. About 2 and a half weeks went by and she hadnt done anything she said would happen (following up, delivering team contacting us, etc.) so I reached out in which she said our nightstands had been back ordered. I understand that this is out of her control but she didnt even inform me. I then asked if the rest of our furniture could be delivered now since it was ready and she said no and that was not how their policy worked. She said our furniture would be delivered on 2/4 which was exactly 30 days from our order date. The delivery team contacted me the morning of 2/4 and had no availability to deliver the rest of that week which I understood. However, I was unhappy with the store that had guaranteed the 30 day delivery or less. It took 35 days to get our furniture delivered. Being unhappy, I contacted the woman who had helped us in the store saying that I didnt think it was right I pay the delivery fee since it was outside the 30 day guarantee I was given and she has yet to get back to me almost a week later. Normally I try to be understanding and lenient about things and rarely write reviews of any kind but paying this kind of money for furniture and not getting it in their policy is very obnoxious and shotty customer service. So delivery team - great! Furniture - great, but expensive. Store staff (at least who helped me) - not so great.

PHENOMENIAL EXPERIENCE! We initially used the Raleigh Bassett store last February, 2011. We purchased a beautiful bedroom suite for our daughters first townhouse. We were so impressed with our designer, Mr. David Foster, as well as their great prices, that we returned and purchased living room furniture as well as office furniture. Mr. Foster sets the standard for excellent service, knowledge of product, and professionalism. Having bought lots of furniture over the years, I never expected Bassett to live up to the "30 days to your door" policy. Sure enough, not only was it ready in 30 days, it was actually ready ahead of time and they had to store it for is. The delivery service was the BEST I have ever seen!! It was pouring down rain- the men made sure the furniture didn't get a drop of moisture on it, nor in my house. They wore booties, caps, were well dressed (shirts - with name tags-were even tucked in). A Week after delivery there was a problem with a loose table leg. The service department came out the following day and made the repair. Overall, we were SO PLEASED we just returned to buy furniture for our new weekend home. Mr Foster and an interior designer met us at the home, took measurements, asked questions regarding taste preferences, and then created an entire design presentation. We are very excitedly waiting on our new furniture. Bassett Raleigh far exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend David Foster as well as his wife Donna!

I would give them negative stars if I could. Seriously, I ordered two piece from them. When the purchase was made, the lady told us the two pieces would come within 2 weeks and that if they couldnt make it within two weeks, she would call us. Nothing happened in those two weeks, so we called the third weeks and found out that the order was delayed for 3 months. We were extremely disappointed, and we went there to ask for a refund. The best part is that when we were asking for a refund, the other lady (not the same salesman) told us that it is OUR responsibility to check our order and that they would NEVER call us after the purchase was made. When I ask her why it is delayed for 3 months, she said it just happened that one of the piece is sold out (even though the original salesman told us that they have plenty in stock). Then for the entire refund process, she glared angrily at us until the her manager walks out. Yes, a salesman GLARED angrily at customer. Sent a mail to their website, but they didnt care. Never going there again.

I ordered my sofa about a month ago and we were told about 6 weeks delivery timeframe. Everything was perfect on the surface, the customer service rep was really nice and attentive. She said she would keep in touch and regularly update us on the order status. Right after they got our money, she never ever called back. I left her 2 voicemails and then she calls back. She tells me that she tried to call and couldnt get through. Absolute lies. They lie a lot at Bassetts in Raleigh. They would do anything to make a sale, once they have your money dont expect any calls. We still dont know when our couch will get here, probably in 6-8 weeks. I dont really care, the customer service has been awful ! **** update **** Just spoke to customer service and theyre now saying 9 weeks delivery timeframe. RIDICULOUS! I will ask for money back if not, I will sue. Stay away from this store!

Had an awesome experience ordering my sectional from the Raleigh Basset Store. Scott is an amazing designer who came to my home and measured for the custom sectional that I ordered. He also patiently worked with me in the store to make sure I had the perfect fabric and accent pillows picked out to match my existing design. My sectional was delivered in 30 days "as promised" and was exactly as I had imagined. This was an expensive purchase for my husband and I so I was a little nervous at first based on some of the reviews I had read. Needless to say I am overjoyed with my new sectional and the experience that I had at the Raleigh Basset Store. Will definitely order from them again in the future!

My instore experience was great. I loved my design consultant she was very helpful and knowledgable. I also love my furniture, it is beautiful and well-made. However, I was told 4-5 weeks for delivery, but it actually took 10 weeks! Then, on the day of the delivery we discovered that my sectional was missing the connection pieces, so the delivery man told me that he would put in a work order for this repair. It is 2 months later and this still has not been repaired. I have never written a negative review, but I felt it important to let other consumers know what to expect. Its good furniture, but expect to wait for it!

"David at the Raleigh, NC location we bought our bed from was extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered a clearance item we found online and he treated us like we bought everything in the store. He truly created a wonderful shopping experience and we WILL purchase more items and soon. Delivery was amazing. We received our items sooner than expected, and the delivery men were extremely professional and careful in our home! I can honestly say, and my husband would agree, there is not a single item in your stores that we dont like. Everything is beautiful and to make it better the service in all aspects is amazing!"
