I just moved to the Lehigh Valley, and was surprised there were only a few shoe stores focused on running. This area seems dominated by box stores like Dicks and Sports Authority. I went to Aardvark based on it specializing in running and its location. This is a great place to go if you want knowledgeable staff to suggest a shoe type for you. The staff member took my shoes and studied the wear on treads. After verifying I was in the correct type of shoe, he was able to suggest several different shoe brands that had models of this type over a range of prices. What stood out to me is that this staff member could tell me what was different on shoe from this year vs last year. He watched me on the treadmill as I ran to verify everything looked good. The prices are similar to what one would expect for a running store. If you care about getting the correct shoe for your style of running, I would start here.

The staff is really friendly and helpful. I bought my first real pair of running shoes here 5 years ago (when I had no idea what I was doing), and Ive been going back whenever I need advice on shoes. Theyll give you access to a treadmill and give great advice personalized to your type of stride. They explained the type of shoe that was best for me very patiently, and my running experience has been improved ever since I got the right kind of stability shoe I turned out to need. If youre getting into running, try this place out, as theyll guide you much better than a giant sporting goods store. The only thing I wish was that they had a bigger selection of shoes. I wanted to try out a type of Adidas Id read great things about online, but they only stock a few brands. Still, I cant give them anything less than 5 stars, because they always put me in comfortable, comfortable shoes.

I hate when you ask for the left shoe in a department store (khols/marshalls etc) and they give you the stare "you want what?" I wanted a nice experienced staff that might remind me of my home state; where you can find a hundred running stores within the perimeter of Portland. Anywho I told them what I was looking for, they gave me their recommendation, let me take the shoes for a test drive. It should also be noted that they were 3 dollars cheaper than the online stores (Zappos etc) and to get a real people, to give real help I think that is amazing that they can compete. So go on support you local business.

More like a Sports Equipment Consultant! A few times Ive visited Aardvark, I was greeted with clean, welcoming shop space with well-informed, helpful staff. As a beginner, it was an assuring experience to go through the shops detailed fitting process, and to get educated on shoe selecting process. The price range of the selection may surprise you a little if youve shopped only at the mall-based shoe/sporting goods shops. If youd like to get off the ground with your running plan, or up your game a notch, head over to Aardvark with motivation and some time to enjoy their offerings.

I went into this store and attempted to purchase a particular brand/style of running shoe which I prefer to run in. The pregnant MEAN lady would NOT sell me my shoes! She refused to even ORDER my size in them, insisting I would "hate them". Well after that horrible experience (I have spent $1000s of $$$ here in the past few years) I called Charm City in Maryland and had them shipped to me and the customer service was pleasant and easy to work with.

Great experience. No nonsense, just recommendation for what I wanted in a running shoe. Sneakers are pricy but that is the running shoe industry. I tried a few sneakers on, walked around the store and ran on the treadmill to see which of the 3 sneakers felt better to me. Check them out.

The best specialty running store in Bethlehem. Everyone there knows what they are talking about and the staff is very friendly. I get most of my shoes here. They are also very supportive of local organizations and local races, so they always contribute and give back to the community.

Best service I have ever gotten from a shoe store. They know their stuff and make sure they get you the right show. No pushing a brand and no throwing you into a shoe that doesnt make sense. Always bring previous shoes so they can see the whole picture.

Ive bought now 5 shoes from them, always great service while Im buying, but then when the shoes are braking apart after not intense training they wont help out . All the shoes Ive ever bought fall apart in no time, I will not be returning.

Ive never been properly fit for running shoes, ever. I went to Aardvark and was properly sized out with everything explained to me. I was able to run on a treadmill to test a few out and found the best shoes ever. Thank you Aardvark!
