Went yesterday to exchange a bed in bag comforter/sheet set that was purchased about a month ago and went to wash it for the first time and fabric in one area thinned out and separated. We still had original bag with ross price tag on it. We paid $34.99 for it. The rude woman that worked there said she could only issue a store credit for $8.99 since we lost receipt. I told her to look it up since we purchased with a credit card, she said she could not do that. I asked her to exchange it for the exact same one they still sell for $34.99. She said I would have to return this one for $8.99 then repurchase the new one for $34.99 and pay the difference. WHY should we pay the difference on a defective product? This is after waiting in their cattle chute line when they had 5 people at cashiers with only 2 lane lights open! The store is just a horrible experience and I would not recommend anyone buy anything there that can possibly be returned, because the return policy is a rip-off. Hopefully someone sees this review from management and at least looks into the way the store runs. How a store stays in business with rude uncaring employees is beyond me! In the end, after I left the store, I took the portion of the damaged sheets and put them in the clothing drive container in the parking lot. Maybe someone will be able to have better luck than me and return it............or maybe the rude Ross employee uses the clothing drop-off to restock the store.

Ross Dress for Less stores are probably less known than TJMaxx, but they are similar. In my opinion Ross stores carries better bargains for "upper shelf" merchandise. They have a lot of closeouts so the goods appear and disappear randomly. They also offer a discount on Tuesdays for shoppers over 55 (membership card required). This is my wifes favorite store, she enjoys the bargain hunting there.

For once I didnt have to stand in line for over 10 minutes! Go early or you will be in the checkout line a long, long time. They do not put people on the registers to get you out quickly. They act as though they dont even see the long lines which is more aggravating. Good selection of merchandise and great prices, but you pay in checkout time.

Ross is a very small, however it is a very good department store for the size. They have great deals on clothing, shoes, and housewares. You may not always find what you need there, but you will definitely find things there. Its very hard to leave the store empty handed.

I frequent this store. Its a pretty busy store so the clothing selection can be scarce at times. There is always a line at check out and seemingly random associates up front that cant open another register. I dont get it but hey its a just Ross. You get what you pay for.

The lines are always long because all of the registers are never open. Poor management silks and planning. Most of the employees seemed rude.

It depends in what you want. If youre looking for true to 3-4X clothes, forget it. But they do have other cool stuff at good prices.
