I want to retract my previous negative review. I did have a bad experience with a clerk in the store but the manager of Mapes was very kind and gracious and the matter was sdttled to my satisfaction. The store has a very special niche and is the only place where you can get such a variety of items. Highly recommended

Love Mapes! My go-to shop for last minute stuff and quick runs to the store. Its been the rare occasion that they didnt have whatever it was that I needed -- hardware, cleaning supplies, paint, xmas lights, you name it.

Handy local store and can save a trip to a big box store. However the place is a mess and some items not well stocked.

Store hours say they close at 8 pm yet at 7:54PM doors were locked on a Tuesday night. Clearly they dont need business.
