I have been a frequent customer for this store up until now. Mostly because there are not many equine stores in the area, so its the only store close by.I feel that the service sucks. The people are snotty and I believe they receive comission on the items they sell... my husband went in to buy me boots as a gift and they convinced him that if he bought the next size up they would still fit me (they are very large on me.. and they told him to go with the next size just to make comission since they obviously did not have my size!) I have spent probably over 1000 or more at this store over the past couple of years, but still feel as though I am going to be frisked by one of the employees who follow me around everytime I enter the store. There is not a single time that I have gone in there, and havent been asked "can I help you" three times when I go in there. (Most of the time they will actual follow me around..like Im going to still something). I do not feel this is how a customer who spends a lot of money at your store should be treated. Many of my friends and myself feel uncomfortable by the employees. When entering the store...(who wants to be followed around when they shop?!) This bothers me especially since I shop there once every few weeks, have little time to shop since its my lunch break, and usually am shopping for something specific.. .no I do not need help, I have been in the store over 100 times and know where everything is! I feel that many of the employees are rude, and have also given me an attitude when I explained to them that I do not need help. Most of the stuff is over priced and this store is not worth going to unless you cannot find what you are looking for somewhere else. I have only shopped at this store since it is close by and convienant,But after this last visit, I do not care to buy another thing from them since their service is very rude.

We adopted our lab/beagle mix last Feb. Knowing we wanted to feed our dog a holistic diet someone suggested we go to Chaar. We went not knowing which food was best or even what the differences were. Amanda took time and explained it all to us and made a suggestion based on our needs and didnt try to direct us to the most expensive. Our pooch is very happy with his food. We continue to go to Chaar because of their excellent customer service. We are always greeted by a friendly employee and asked if we need help. If we say no, they kindly leave us look around. Somethings may cost a little more but most things Ive compared have come out the same at other stores. Some things are less, like the flea/tick medication we buy. It is cheaper here than the vet or other stores Ive been to. Ive read some of the other reviews on here but can honestly say Ive always received excellent customer service. The guys even carry the dog food bags out to my car for me. I am more than capable of doing it myself but I appreciate when they do this. We took our dog for Level 1 training. It was pricey but I feel we learned a lot. Ive never been to another trainer so I cant compare methods. But in the long run our dog is better off having taken this class. Our trainer was always respectful of the dogs and didnt mistreat them at anytime. Friends of ours are there now training their dog based on our recommendation. We will continue to shop at Chaar for all our dog needs.

as a first time customer i took in my two dogs just for grooming as it was getting close to the holidays i wanted them to look nice and smell good ,to my surprise i was charged 99.00 dollars just to groom a 6lb Maltese and a 5 female Maltese ,,while my male dog was completely groom he looked like who did it and ran.. the face area was so sloppy cut and his face looked the same as i took him in.. smh the fur look horrible and it felt so ruff ,,as for my baby she was only suppose to get a bath and fluffed up and groomed around the legs and private are it looked like nothing was even done just her paws and they took the liberty to chop all her face up i was so upset my dogs didnt even smell clean ..i wanted to say something but didnt.. i had came home bath them and try to shape their face my self something,,, i should off done from the beginning and save myself the expense to have a so called professional butcher them up ...i will not recommend this place to any one and i will express my true feeling about this pet grooming place if some one was to ask not to mention how the pet groomer told me that my dogs behavior needed help i was so upset over her comment ,,,,not ever again will i step foot again in that store

Our new puppy, a Vizsla named Vader, came into our lives a little over a year ago. We promptly looked for puppy classes in the area, and decided to give Chaar a try. Were so glad that we did! The trainers are excellent and really take the time to get to know your dog and what concerns you specifically have (like having a crazy hunting dog with unlimited energy). Weve been through Puppy Kindergarten, Obedience Level 1, and Intro to Agility, and have not been disappointed in any class weve attended. The staff as Chaar has also been extremely helpful in finding the right food to feed our little guy, as weve had a rough go of finding something that agrees with his tummy (many allergies). One of the foods we were giving our guy was recalled, and Chaar promptly sent out an informative e-mail and helped us to choose which food to switch to. Theyve helped us "size" our guy for sweaters, jackets, boots, socks, and chew toys ... and have even ordered a specialty backpack for us at a great price. The list goes on and on. They also have seminars you can attend on a variety of topics ... free of charge. We love Chaar and will be loyal customers for many years to come. Thank you for all you do!

Always a fantastic experience. I have been to Charr several times over the past year purchasing pet supplies and clothing and every time I have been happy. The sales staff has greeted me each time Ive entered the store and was able to provide help and guidance with any of my purchases. When I was buying a coyboy hat the staff was able to give me differences between brands and models and also provide help on style. They have the equipment on site to steam the hat and adjust the brim to your liking and they do this for free. When I was looking for cat food the staff was able to help me find the best brand for my pet. When I was buying a floor model the staff was more than happy to go in the back, get batteries, and test the item to make sure that it still worked. I really find it hard to believe that anyone could have a bad experience at this store. I was shocked to see the 1 star reviews since they are so far from what I have seen each time I have gone there.
