Today for lunch my fiance and I tried their lunch buffet. We chose the green bowls to dine in store. What initially looked like a fantastic selection, turned out to be bland over priced food. The cost was over 36 dollars for 2 bowls and that did not include drinks. The food was terrible. The chips were stale, the warm food did not feel hot at a proper temperature. After the meal I felt sick and queasy and it wasnt long before I had to use the restroom. We told one of the chefs it was our first time at their buffet and asked for basic instructions of where to pay for our food. The chef wasnt very friendly and looked at us odd. Not a welcoming feeling at all. At the register 2 cashiers giggled at us in regards to our bewilderment at the cost of 2 bowls of food. The young cashier lady stated shed never eat their buffet. I regret eating their food because it made me sick. Ive never written a negative review, but I couldnt help but to leave a comment so people will know ITS NOT WORTH IT. You wont believe the price at 9 dollars a pound and I really hope no one else gets sick. Way to start a Monday. Rude staff.

The organization of the food made it difficult to find items because there were similar items in different locations throughout the store. The checkout lanes were also crowded with food items they were trying to sell (on the counter where you normally set your groceries.) It was overall chaotic and disorganized. They also had awful customer service. I walked in circles for at least 20 minutes looking for a prepared food item or an employee to help me find it and found neither. I went to the prepared food counter to ask & he guessed 2 places to look & it was in neither location. I finally found an employee stocking a shelf & asked for help locating the item and told him Id been walking around for 20 minutes searching for the item and he pointed to the back of store to tell me where it was. I asked for more details on where to look "is it with the cheeses because I didnt see it..." and he finally asked if I had time to go back he could take me to locate the item...

I have been going there since the store opened up and have never had a bad experience there. It is the best store to go to for really anything, and now that I work there I see why it really is such an awesome entity. They give the customers real food, real ingredients, they give back to the communities all around the world that really need it.They also give local public schools something they had very little of when I was in school, and thats the choice of a salad bar (Thats with schools and stores across the country). The cool thing about Whole Foods is that they arent just a massive corporate monster that is trying to generate all the wealth they can at anyones expense, they are a business that was started asking the simple question, "How can we create a business based off of Love?". Thats what makes Whole Foods so awesome. So that being said, I will stand by Whole Foods any day of the week.

This locations management, Im convinced, hates vegans. Ive seen hot bar, pizza bar, and salad bar selections for vegans go from OK, to bad, to almost nonexistent in the last 3-5 years. Ive had email conversations with several employees that have never resulted in any change. Vegan pizza? Maybe one slice every 3 weeks. Hot bar? You might find one vegan option, which theyve specifically located in front of a meat dish so everyone drips all over them. Grab and go items that have meat but labeled with a yellow vegan sticker? Check. Sandwich counter? They supposedly have Field Roast but will often shrug and say "were out of that". Um...go grab some off your shelf! Its unreal. Im done with this store and probably WF in general. Good thing new seasons just built a store down the road! Bye Felicia!

Normally this place is your average whole foods. Today I went in around 1130. Before the lunch rush hit. I picked out a container of mixed berries, that when I opened them z smelled like the seafood dept. I also purchased spicy tuna sushi roll, the sushi counter was nearly bare with the spicy tuna roll having NO spicy sauce. I highly doubt the one dude behind the counter was going to fill that case by noon. Then I went to the coffee shop Stood there for 5 minutes while both associates worked on two smoothies. Neither of them said a word to me. So I left without coffee. Worst trip ever.

Dropped in to pick up some of my favorite store-bought salad, Blackened Chicken Salad. Its actually so good its worth a special trip. I hadnt had breakfast yet, so I thought Id try out their warm food selections. Granted, it was after the morning rush (9:00 am), but the prepared breakfast sandwich (English muffin, egg, bacon and cheese) was under the heat lamp and wrapped in foil. I thought that would be good enough. Not so much. I ate it because I was hungry, but it was gross! Greasy and soggy. I wont make that mistake again.

I love the hot foot bar. My life goal is to be able to afford to eat here every meal. 4/22/2017 update: hot food and salad bar quality and selection steadily decreasing. Breakfast bar today had no bacon, no gravy for the biscuits. No honey for biscuits or oatmeal. Salad bar no longer has kimchi. This has been our breakfast place for quite some time, but now I think were going to look elsewhere. The seating area used to always be full of people. Lately its pretty empty and I bet its the same reason I have.

Ok first off I go here all the time and usually love it!!!!! But if your going there for a sandwich... DONT. I used to go there almost everyday for a sandwich and they literally mess it up every time. Lettuce instead of spinach like I asked for, American cheese instead of cheddar and I asked for extra pickles and the lady literally put 4 pickle slices on the entire sandwich! Like what!!!!!! If Im paying $8 for a customizable sandwich I want what Im asking for so disappointed. Dont waste your money.

This is my new favorite whole foods. They have so many fun new snacks and products I have not seen at other health food stores. However I do want whole foods as a company to be more health conscientious. They have limited truly organic and gluten free options. This location does have a smoothie/juice bar which Is super cool, but the fruit is not organic!! So given that I would not purchase a smoothie made with fruit that has been sprayed with pesticides and genetically modified.

Whole Foods started out in Portland with a buy local facade...now theres rarely any produce that is local. Apples that are a decent price are old, berries provided by Driscolls who has been in union conflict with their pickers for two years and other produce does not have the shelf life of other options in the area. Dry good prices are generally a bit lower than New Seasons. Produce at the Food Front co-op is all local and lower to comparably priced.
