Horrible customer service (aside from the lady I encountered at customer service, she was very nice and apologetic). They label products with the wrong price so that when you get up to cash out you look like an idiot (and they treat you like one as well). Went to buy 2 blankets that were labeled for $7.99, as clearly picture below, and they rang up for $9.98 roughly. I mentioned that they were labeled otherwise and that I could go and grab the price tag or a photo really quick and I was told no and that they would call the manager. After to explaining to the manager, and a couple of "mmhhmm", the cashier said "Yea thats what I thought", hung up and told me I was wrong and asked if I still wanted to purchase them, to which I replied no. I was frustrated because this isnt the first time this has happened at this location. So I went, snapped a picture of the tag with the blankets visible, grabbed two of the ones I had earlier and went to customer service. When I got there, the lady helping me (Im sorry I cant remember her name because she was very nice) explained that maybe the math was done wrong but that it was clearly labeled $7.99. She honored the price and apologized the the situation. That interaction is the ONLY reason I did not rate this lower. I know it seems silly to make a big deal over a few dollars but its not that. I work in customer service and I would never dream of talking to a customer who is trying to explain something like that. The cashier and her boss should take notes from the lovely lady in the customer service area.

(Originally posted on Yelp 7/30/16) Its funny: I visited the place for the first time in maybe a decade, and planned on giving it a real bottom-of-the-barrel review based on (if nothing else) the *very* dreary state of the building itself. Its decades old, and looks surprisingly run-down for such a major franchise. But then subsequent trips led me to cross paths with Mika(?) & Darren, both of whom were so specifically awesome (among others, I might add) that I wanted to include them by name here... in the off-chance that anyone really reads this stuff! As I often say in my reviews, I consider really *any* effort on the part of employees to be above & beyond, and these guys were very much that. :)

I only shop Freddys when there is a sale or coupon. Or if Im given a gift certificate for Christmas, which was the case this time. Once again Im disappointed in the lack of friendliness of the check out staff. Courtesy is barely offered. The customers at this particular Freddys fit right in with the unfriendly staff. I move slowly and understanding and patience are not strong points with many people these days but it was most obvious here. From the rude drivers in the parking lot to the rude shoppers in the store, I will take this Fred Meyer off my list of stores to spend ANY form of money.

I dont understand why, but seriously, EVERY time I come here to buy...well, anything...EVERY TIME, the wait at checkout takes just as long--if not, longer--than the shopping itself did... Doesnt matter what time of day, what day of the month... Theres got to be a way for them to speed this process up somehow... Other than that, the prices are generally competitive, and I am almost always able to find what I was looking for... Its just the God-awful wait at checkout....

Ive shopped at Fred Meyer in Springfield for many years but have become very disappointed in their customer service and the products they sell! I cant tell you how many times I have come home with food items only to find the item expired a month or more ago! I always call them to let them know so they can remove any other items. I never get a "Im sorry this happened" or even a "Thank you for letting us know". Im done shopping at their store!

I went to Fred Meyer to pick up a couple last minute birthday presents recently. I was so disappointed with this store. The prices are drastically more expensive and the toy selection was so small, I couldnt believe that was all of the toys. I was so disappointed with the layout of the store and the poor selection I wont be returning to a Fred Meyer, if I can help it.

All the staff are friendly. The food and other items are reasonably priced. The store is a little old and some of the racks and such could be replaced, but all in all it presents a pleasant shopping experience. The lego selection is fairly wide (important to me). And last, but not least, it has free bags! With handles. No more shopping in Eugene for me.

Aside from being a bit dated, this is a great location. The employees have always been helpful and friendly and I absolutely love their clearance deals. You can always find killer deals on things ranging from housewares, to clothes, to food. Full price items seem a bit spendy but they always have a lot of sales going so its not hard to find a deal.

"Worst Fred Meyer in the chain. Employees are poorly informed, rude, and incompetent. Store is filthy, parking lot dirty, and the deli is horrendous." You have to remember that this store is in Springfield on Q Street, its not like you could expect world class service! I think for their location they are as good as you could expect them to be.

This is about the clothing section. Ive come in many times and everytime is bad. A short blonde with glasses is always texting on her phone, Im shocked she is allowed to be on her phone on the floor. I was helped by a girl named Savannah I believe was her name and she blew me off like I was stupid. The employees dont care about helping

Seems like the 2nd time Ive got bad gas from here. Going to do some more tests and if it turns out its something mechanical and/or sensor related and not the gas. ( or employee not putting cap on correctly.) If its one of those things and not the gas being bad I will remove / edit post.

Their gas station is cheap and they have a great rewards system down to save money and you always do just for using your phone number. I enjoy going here, they do the funky thing of, if you pull up to the wrong side of the pump they will reach the hose to the fuel door anyhow.

The store is really outdated. They need to remodel it like the River Rd Fred Myer. I live in Thurston and will drive to Eugene to go to Fred Myer. Cant stand the outdated building and poor layout of the store. The craft beer selection sucks.

I always like Fred Meyers different selections. Usually, if I have hit Wal-Mart, Target doesnt have much different. But Fred Meyers does. However they are WAY more expensive than Wal-Mart and thats why they are my last resort to shop at.

Just stopped to get gas. They now have men walking around in red vests selling windshield cleaner. I just want gas. I dont want to have to listen to a sales pitch and demonstration. I wont get gas here anymore if this continues.

Good selection and a variety of price points. A decent grocery with clothing and shoes which are good values during a sale, otherwise a little on the pricey side. Hardware, auto, really just a little of everything.
