Why are you still reading these?... Go already!... Fine! I stumbled into this place completely by accident. From that second, I was hooked. Its cramped as hell, but they have three floor-to-ceiling shelving units as deep as the nook of their shop can go (add four walls, if you count the DVD/Blu-Rays... By the way, $3 for a Blu-Ray of American Psycho?! SOLD) NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, ATARI 52/5600... Name it. Go ahead. Its here. On one stop, I saw a Magnavox Odyssey, Genesis 3 AND a number of SEALED copies of first-print original Sony PlayStation games at prices that would make a collector cry tears of joy. My only gripe is that the upper-walls behind the registers are overflowing with various Collectors Editions that arent for sale. Theres a decently-preserved copy of "Custers Revenge" up there. Need a console fixed? They can do it. If they cant, theres an entire stockroom full of consoles that have been refurbed and ready to go. Need to sell? This is the place to go, just make sure you have an ID and youre of-age. Go. Go now.

I was in town for a wedding and decided to stop by to see this shop and wasnt disappointed! I didnt have a car, but they were easy to reach from the Foster station on the green line plus about a 5 minute walk. The store is a bit tight and youre greeted by several large cases filled with games as soon as you walk in, but everything is pretty easily laid out. There is a really solid selection of older titles for both Nintendo and Sega (even TurboGrafx16!), plus more modern stuff like Xbox and PlayStation as well. Theyve got lots of other bits but in the end I wound up picking up an older hint guide and a couple Genesis game and was pleased with the prices, plus the employees were cool to chat with about retro gaming in general. If Im ever back in the Portland area, Ill definitely be swinging by to visit the shop again.

I found these guys as a recommendation when a Game Crazy didnt have the game i wanted. The kid working there told me to go to Video Game Wizards as if it were a "no-brainer". This store is friendly to you, and remembers who you are if you stop in time to time. They are generally less expensive than Franchise stores, and are priced compared to games found on eBay, but you dont have to WAIT, you can just go get yours. from NES to NEW games, and everything in between and before and after, they sell it there. The only reason youd buy anywhere else i suppose would be if you were just kind of dumb, or were very far away from there store. But for any used games; especially hard to find ones, they are the only place to shop/buy from.

This shop is amazing and I love it way better than CD game exchange and I saw someone gave a bad review so dude this is to you putting a hold on a game or system only lasts for a couple of days before they put it back on the floor also if someone comes in wanting to buy what you put a hold on they will sell it to them cause they already there and wanting to buy it so they dont say no cause they dont know now if you will show up or not but that person is right with money in hand and you think they just gonna hold for your ass they dont even know you yet you expect to trust you your stupid and dumb and I hope you get ripped off where ever you go to instead

Used to be a great shop. We would send customers here first when we didnt have something in. Went in today to see how things where going and sell some loose games with a total value of $400 ( based on median eBay selling price) got offer $52, will never come here again and will be yelling my customers to avoid them. I hope the owner reads this and changes policies again but based on what happened today Im not gonna hold my breath. To make it worse the guy behind the counter was insanely rude and tried to lie about the value of the games I had. AVOID THIS STORE.

Stopped in to verify if a rare cart was real or not. Friendly staff greeted me as I entered. They were able to open the cart and confirm it was real for me. They seemed excited to see it come in and didnt pressure me at all to sell it. Browsed the fairly large collection for a while after and saw some gems. I will be coming back In the future to pick a couple things up. Thanks for the help and great service.

Great store with (möstly) fair prices. Big selection, although their gamecube selection isnt that great. They only lose a star because it takes forever to get customer Service. Theres usually a long line of people trying to talk to the clerks, and it doesnt help that theres like 1 employee working or 2 at max. If they had more employees to help customers when its busier this is a 5 star Business no doubt.

Great prices on used stuff and a REALLY helpful group of employees that never seems to change - actually, I think they own the place. Ive NEVER been disappointed there with the prices or the service, and have been shopping there since moving close by in 2000 - over 10 years. Im supporting them heavily this holiday season, and always check with them first for our Xbox and Wii needs .

this is what a video game store should look like.unlike all those generic franchise game stores, these guys have an amazing selection of hard to find games across all platforms, at a reasonable price.they also have some super cool specialty memorabilia.since finding this store, i havent given a second thought to buying games anywhere else and have recommended them to all my friends.

One of my favorite videogame stores ever! I remember walking in with a friend back in 01 a whim. I was looking for a ps1 title that was both rare and out of stock everywhere. The staff was awesome and helped me track it down. Surprisingly it was in stock and below average retail cost. Ive been back several times since and always find the store and staff very enjoyable

Had a xbox game disc that was scratched like someone had ice skated on it. They have a commercial disc cleaner that restored it to damn near new condition for a very small fee. Wish I wouldve know about them before throwing away games I thought were too damaged to play. Its my new favorite one-stop shop for all gaming needs I have.

It may be small but they have EVERYTHING and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and nice with absolutely unbeatable prices and have many older games, movies, machines, etc... that others dont; I shop nowhere else when needing gaming equipment and movies... Theres just no comparison... Kids and I love the store...

Ive been going there since I was 5 and now Im 14. This place is the best place to go for retro gaming and modern gaming I can get anything I want here. One of the best service, the people that work there are nice and flexible with prices. If youre a gamer definitely check this place out!
