I love Lushs products. Unfortunately, if you are 50 or over, be prepared to be ignored when you go in the 23rd Street store. I would never have started using these products had I first been introduced to them in this store. I was introduced to them many years ago when their only store was in Canada. My interest in them was renewed when I shopped one of their Atlanta stores, where I received, respectful, helpful service. Ive been in the 23rd St store many times and each time, with one exception, Ive been ignored. Last night I went in the store and there were several sales people. They were all hovered around a couple of people in their own age group. I waited for 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. I stood at the counter where the person who appeared to be the manager was talking on the phone. I waited and waited. No acknowledgement, no, "Ill be right with you." The person who finally helped me was nice, but brief. She seemed to be in a hurry to get back to her coworker with whom she was dancing. After around 15 minutes I made my purchase of over $60. One other person purchased a lip gloss. Everyone else walked out without buying anything, that is the people who got the great service. Lush, is your Portland market just for people under 50? If not, you have some serious work to do with the attitude of your staff.

My boyfriend and I came into town, looking forward to having a great time on our vacation. I heard that there was a Lush store in town and was super excited to go. The location of the store is in a cute, towney neighborhood, however, parking is almost impossible and people who drive around that area are pretty scary. On Google, they list being open at 11am on Sundays. It took us forever to find a parking spot but when we did, we headed right over. I was disappointed with a hand made sign reading " Sorry, wont be open until 11:30" We didnt think anything of it and decided to walk around some. We came back at 11:30 (30 minutes AFTER theyre supposed to be open) and another sign was on the door "Sorry, wornt be open until 12:30"... I was greatly disappointed and was forced to leave to continue our day. I really like theyre products, however I feel as a business, you should be open when you say you are. This is a HUGE inconvenience to your customers and could potentially loose service. Needless to say, I wont be buying products for a while. Big Let down.

Dont be afraid to try their Seanik solid shampoo. It is bright blue with little flecks of sea weed. This soap lathers really well and left my hair feeling really clean and shiny. I have wavy/curly hair that I normally condition and did not feel I needed conditioner with this or product. I was interested in Lush due to a long-term European travel we were going on and this soap lasts a long time and doesnt take up a lot of space. Prices in the store are a bit cheaper than online but a little expensive overall. Great value though.

I love that lush is helping create a space for waste-free hygiene in the mainstream market! I love their products, and love that you get to try them out in-store. The only downside (for me) is that their super hands-on customer service distracts me from what I came in for, and Ive had to return impulse buys twice. I also wish their mascara was better because I love the glass bottle, but it didnt remotely work for me. If this rating was about their zero-waste mission though, itd be five stars for sure.

I love Lush as a company and especially this store. However, I wish they had UV protection on their windows so it wouldnt discolor the soaps so much. The Blonde is supposed to be yellow, not a milky off white color. However, they no longer carry the Blonde, which is a huge loss. However, they are company that tries to treat the environment with respect, which earns them points in my book. You cant go wrong with the products carried here.

How can you not love this place?! Anything bath related you need, they have it! My nephews love the bath bombs so that was the main purpose of this trip. Seriously though, you need shampoo, deodorant, bubbles, soap, anything bath related you must go here! The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. I cant say enough about this place!

Very pushy staff and the store is to small for the amount of staff here. Stop trying to wash my hands and try random products that I dont care about on me. I just want to get into the store and leave. I dont want to have some pushy sales person trying to persuade me to buy their soap.

i went in, and not only did their products prove themselves...but their customer service was FABULOUS. the lady that was helping me totally answered all my questions knowledgeably and cheerfully. it was great, and all my skin problems were solved :) thanks, and ill definitely be back!

Love this store!!! Love their products!!!! Love their customer service and free samples when I want to try something new!!! Will keep coming back. Other than rough parking, its amazing, fresh, strong scented, a little expensive, but well worth the cost!

Im obsessed! amazing products. Slightly spendy, but the products last for a significantly long time so I think it balances out, and the staff is always super sweet a day helpful. I will be a forever customer unless they change anything.

This was a great place to get youre soap fix! The scents were awesome and I loved their layout. My favorite was the Big shampoo. Makes youre hair smell like a tropical paradise! The items are a bit spendy, but well worth the price!

Ample samples and the ability to try almost all of the products there in the store. Was very well staffed this afternoon with helpful employees. Unfortunately I didnt like majority of the scents and didnt love any of them.

Really unique experience. Lots of great vegan friendly soaps and products. Ask for a rundown of the place, and they will show you their bath bombs and whatnot. Really friendly employees.

This Lush can get quite busy because its the only one in Portland proper. But that doesnt make it any less wonderful. Always friendly staff and excellent eco-friendly products.

Employees are just wonderful. This place smells like heaven and each time I go I have a wonderful experience full of delicious scents and textures. I always come back!
