If youre looking for a great tattoo that not only looks great but heals fast and painlessly then you have got to meet Jason. My first tattoo experience with Jason was about 6 years ago and I immediately felt at home and understood by my wacky personalized designs that I requested. No judgment, no hassle- in fact nothing but assistance and professionalism to make the awesome design in your head a reality on your body! But honestly the most important part of a tattoo for me is the healing. Within a week you are all cured up and ready to show it off! Little to no scabbing and his care and understanding of painful spots sometimes makes all the difference in a long sitting. My whole arm and half the other are all done by Jason. Simply put- he is the only artist I trust with my designs and my skin. Oh and another personal plus is that the man and the shop have really genuinely good taste in music. Youre not going to be dying with hours of speed metal and music that makes you wish you hadnt decided to spend so much time there. Its an all around rad experience.

I got my first traditional tattoo from Jason and I couldnt be happier! not only did it not even scab over ( a first from someone with tattoos covering almost 1/2 of her body) but it took less time then i thought and turned out brighter and bolder then i could have ever imagined!!!My husband and I had some lettering done from Elli (one of the other amazing artists) and it turned out exactly like we wanted for our first matching tattoo! Jeremy was kind enough to fit me in at the end of a busy day for small tattoo that turned out great! all in all this is great unassuming tattoo shop without any of the uptightness commonly found in shops around portland! And they take walk ins for reals! if you want a quality tattoo at a fair price get down to freaks and geeks!!!!

Ive been looking for the right artist to continue my work for a long time. When I heard Jason Sweet was opening a new studio 2 blocks from my house and around the corner from my favorite bar I insisted on being his first tattoo in the studio. Since then weve done a total of 3 pieces. Jason is one of the chillest, nicest, and most helpful Tattoo Artists Ive ever met. Oh, and his work is amazing. Also, having seen Jeremy and Ellies work I can say with the utmost confidence that you wont be disappointed by anything that comes out of this shop.

Went in last week to try and get my first tattoo. I was only in town for a couple of days and was hoping for something that probably required more time to get set up, but Josh was awesome and willing to take me the next day. He designed an amazing piece of work and made small adjustments to make it perfect for me. The actual experience of getting the tattoo was smooth, Josh was awesome to converse with, and I left the place proud to bare such awesome art. Thanks, Josh! Cant recommend these guys enough. Jason is an incredible artist. He did my 1st big piece on my left arm and it is the most beautiful piece of art I own. He is professional and enjoys collaborating with his customers. He works at your pace at the same time always being clear and honest with his time lines. He has an amazing background in both art and the tattoo industry so he is also a great source of advice if youre new to tattoos.

I have three sizable tattoos by Jason Sweet and I am very happy with both the artwork and the experience. I recently attended his grand opening party in Portland. The shop is all windows and hard wood floors. It is a tidy and welcoming shop. I recommend it, highly...so much so that friends from Seattle have made the trip just to get work by Jason. Tucked away around the corner off of Alberta is quaint tattoo shop run by Jason. From the moment i walked into the door, he was nothing but courteous and helpful, even managed to squeeze me in THAT DAY! From his professional demeanor, to his outstanding skills, and reasonable price, Im definitely coming back to this one.

I went in for a walk in a couple days ago, and my first thought was that it was a clean shop. The artists were professional and they got me in pretty quick. Mira has steady hands and her designs in her space were awesome. She did wonderful work and I would definitely recommend this place to others. Great prices.

Ive never felt compelled to review a business before, but I do with this one. I walked in with a crude drawing of a tattoo idea that meant a lot to me, and Jason cleaned up the idea. He brought my concept to life. Two hours after walking in I left with a tattoo I love! Fantastic work and good people.

I had a tattoo that needed to be redone since the guy that did it was not a professional. I went to Jason and he made it look 10 times better and for a reasonable price. I recomend this studio if you are looking for decent solid tattooing.
