So I came to visit my cousin in Cali and wanted to go home with a gnarly tat....I researched Ancient Arts and thought it looked and sound like an awesome place......not the case at all. After just being in the shop for 5 mins I was put down, very uncomfortable, and the atmosphere sucked...NOT CLEAN at all! It was way to crowded with random things. Over all, if you want a tattoo and your a hard core punk, metal head, biker...im sure this place is right for you. But if im going to be spending hours and hours with someone and paying them for somthing that will be on me for the rest of my life...i would like for them to be nice and respectful.

In 2010, I decided to get a tattoo as a birthday present for myself for my 40th birthday. I researched a lot of places, and I decided to go with Ancient Arts. I have to admit, that I was nervous walking up to the door, because I had never been to a tattoo shop before. But. as soon as I walked in the door, the people made me feel at ease. If/when I get another tattoo, Ill get it done at Ancient Arts. They were, and are, so professional! I mean, if they can make a 40 year old tatt virgin feel at ease, they can make anybody feel at ease!

Ive heard good things about piercings from here, but my tattoo did not come out right and has taken longer than any of my other tattoos to heal. No infection or anything, but an arm tattoo should not be sore for months and months. I also did not appreciate that the owner told me to show up at a certain time and then decided to take an hour lunch when I got there instead. He is certainly not a bad artist and the shop is full of cool things, but I would not go back or recommend the place to my friends.

I have had a lot of piercings and been to a couple local spots. This was the best experience I have had. I actually chose it because it was $30 for a nose piercing when a spot I called in eureka was 60. The guy was friendly and the process was extremely brief and he kept a perfect sterile procedure! Recommended to all my friends!

This is by far the coolest tattoo/piercing parlor I have been to. There are SO many awesome pieces of art and things to look at while getting worked on. The owner is really nice and did a great job on my piercing. I havent gotten a tattoo here but it looks like they do great work. Definitely recommend this place!

I am friends with Ancient Arts on Facebook. They were kind enough to invite me to the Tattoo Circus on 2/11/2010. I personally loved the atmosphere! It is like a treasure trove in there. Damien was super clean super fast and super nice! Attttt! My nose piercing looks awesome!Thanks guys!
