EDIT: Received a letter from Pam with enclosed check for the truck rental (+2 stars for Pam and Veronica). Since the store owner said in the phone and letter that she understood the problem I faced, I hope new customers might not be facing the same bad luck as I did. I wanted to buy a new sofa and love seat, went to this shop based on the positive reviews from people. I found a leather sofa and a love seat at 2nd floor that I was willing to buy. It was listed for $2098 and they offered me for $1998. I asked the lady in the counter if they have a new sofa fresh in the package (I dont like taking the floor display items) and she said "Yeah we do have it brand new in the box". I asked them if they could deliver me, said I will be charged $85 + taxes but she told that I can bring my own truck to pick it up. The next day I picked up a u-haul truck and went to their store the lady took my card charged me $1998 gave me a receipt and asked me to pickup the item at the back of their store. The person at the loading area checked my receipt and said they do not have it in stock and they stopped ordering this item. I went to the lady at the cash counter and now I could clearly see that change in look in her face as I explained her the problem. She started acting very rude (the rudest person Ive met in ages). She made some phone calls and said "We have only the floor model I will give you for $100 less". I told her again that it is not an option for me. Then she said that she cannot help me as it is not her problem. I was shocked on hearing that I came to this store driving a rental truck traveling 40 miles in the heavy rain and she say that!! She said "Take the floor model or Ill refund your money just leave, I dont worry about your truck Im not responsible for your problems". I gave my card and she cancelled my transaction, I left without saying a word. She called me after 40 mins and said "Pam (I guess the store owner) offered you the floor model for 10% less". I said that I am not interested in floor model. All I wanted is a simple apology for wasting 4 hours of my time and loss of $84 in renting the truck, but what I got was rude behavior. I will never ever ever set foot on this shop ever again and I would never recommend it even to my foe. At 3rd Floor I have previously bought a dining table set, this floor was managed by a lady named Veronica. She was very good and after the sale she gave me her phone number and asked me to call her if I ever face a problem with the table set she sold. I decided to buy the sofa based on this experience and that is the only reason I dont regret given a rating of at least one star else I would only give them 0. EDIT: I found a better sofa and love seat at "The Furniture Shack" in NE Airport way for a way better price. If you wanted to be treated like a scum bag visit this store (2nd Floor), if not visit Furniture Shack the people over here are very very good.

Cheapest new furniture around. But at what cost? First, this place is enormous. There are huge floors of everything you could imagine, from antiques to hardware, furniture, dishes, you cant even describe how much stuff is here. Its all so random that its almost too much to take in. On the second floor is the furniture showcase, which has really great brands for low prices. My wife and I wanted to order a new sectional plus ottoman from Stanton. We went through City Liquidators because they beat everyones price. We found the exact model on the floor we wanted and ordered it with different/upgraded fabric. About a month later it was ready so we picked it up with a U-haul. Upon getting it home we realized while unwrapping it that it was ordered BACKWARDS. We had already sold our other living room furniture so they let us use that furniture while the order was replaced. In about 5 weeks they dropped off the new set for free and took the incorrect one. I was satisfied. Then when the ottoman wore out prematurely, we had to take it to get it replaced. They copied my original receipt and filed an order, but gave me no paperwork for the replacement, which was odd. When I called back a month later, sure enough, no one could find my order. They told me everything is paper filed and if someone lost the order there was no way to retrieve it. Great. After about 3 hours and 4 people later, they found the ottoman in the warehouse. Because it matched the color on the receipt I brought in they were able to locate it. However I feel that if I didnt have my original receipt it could have just been lost. This experience really freaked me out because it was the first big furniture purchase for me. I think with some better organization this place could really give great service along with the good deals. It all turned out okay for me in the end, but was a giant hassle and Im wary of doing it again. Id recommend copying/verifying everything yourself if you order something through them.

Well at first our experience was not the greatest but they more than made it right. We bought a couch and had it scheduled for delivery the next day. When they came to deliver it they told us it wouldnt fit in the house. They also told us that it couldnt be taken apart to move it inside. It was very clear that it came apart to my wife and I because our previous couch had a similar design. The delivery guy called his manager and the both swore up and down that it couldnt be done But they are the professionals so we let them take it back and the next morning we went down to the store and spoke with our sales girl Julie and she informed us that it could be taken apart. She called the owner and the owner had told Julie to do whatever made us happy so she scheduled delivery for the same day (today) at about 1 or 2. Before we could even leave the store they called and told us we would be the first delivery that day. Within an hour they had it setup in our house!! Thanks to Pablo our delivery guy who made it look easy and had a great attitude the whole time. All on Christmas eve. That, is truly great customer service we look forward to doing much more business with you in the future. Thanks again to Julie Anderson for making things right.

I cant even begin to describe what a fun and fantastic experience I had at City Liquidators yesterday! My BFF and I were at MOR Furniture before this trip. (HORRID PLACE AND SALES PEOPLE) I grew up in Portland and remember the ads for CL. The warehouse is still fun and quirky. I had not been to CL for several years. I went upstairs to look at couches and they have a GREAT selection of couches, in all price ranges. I was immediately greeted by the friendliest salesperson. She was so helpful and knowledgeable and did I mention, friendly! Turns out she is the youngest daughter of Walt (the owner) I said "Oh youre the little girl in the commercial, I remember seeing you sitting on a couch." She shared fun stories of the warehouse and while I did not leave with a purchased couch (due to a difficult entryway to my condo) she provided for me all of the measurements of the couches I was interested in for me, so I could go home and see what will work. Took selfies with the deer heads too LOL! Anyhow, great experience and so much to see and lots of quirky items to keep you entertained as well!
