What can you really say about a Safeway? Lets see, the store is new, built in 2013-ish. Its clean, and usually well stocked. The things that I dont like about this place: The coupons they post dont always work, and there is one lady that works the self checkout registers that is not friendly and and usually treats you like its an inconvenience to do her job when your needing help with those coupons not working. However I havent seen her in a bit and all the other employees are great! The store can get really busy at the 5 oclock hour during the week and the checkouts become bogged down, even the self checkouts... If you get nothing else from this review, remember this... Their French bread is amazing... When its fresh, its lucky if we can even make it to the register before consuming the whole thing right from the bag.

I switched to Safeway recently after moving. It was close. I have had 3 prescriptions called in since I switched. I normally wait a couple of hours to give them a chance to get them filled... 2 times I go in and they try to tell me they just got it. I let those slide. 3rd time I go in the day after a prescription was called in. Again they tell me they just got the order. And that they have to order it and it wont be there till tomorrow evening Bs! On top of that the staff is rude. Im pregnant with twins and recently dx with gestational diabetes and needed an rx for such. This is unacceptable. I will no longer be going to this pharmacy. After they FINALLY fill this one. Im done. I hardly review places. But Im sure Im not the only one thats dealt with this terrible service from them.

They have a very simple tactic of putting a discounted label or tag in front of items but then at the register charge more. Example: watermelon $6.99 When purchasing the price charged $7.99 Example: organic apples (big huge yellow sign) $1.89 lbs - they swap the cheap apples for expensive $4.89 lbs so you purchase the expensive ones. This way youre little bag of apples you thought was $5 dollars ends up being more like $14 Oh yeah the sand which making department takes....... FOREVER!!!!! Every time. They even have a stupid little sign saying if your sandwich takes more than 4 minutes its free, well I waited about 15 minutes and they sure didnt want to honor the free sandwich. I have gave them tons of chances.

Had to fill certain prescriptions at Bimart cause they are consistently out of some of mine. For how much pharmacies make for a store they should be stocked up on the main sellers. Found out Bimart was cheaper anyway. Considering transferring all prescriptions. This will cost Safeway well over a grand a month, what they charge the insurance companies. I am one of many whom I know having this problem. I used to work for Safeway, so I know that the district managers would be really ticked to know the business they are losing.

Ordered sandwiches from the hot food area and the food handler set the meat for my sandwich on the counter with no wraping or anything. She then used the knife in her hand to move the menu hanging above her so she could see what was in the sandwhich. She didnt get a new knife when she cut my sandwich. Seriously im not asking for some clean room or something just basic cleanliness when you are handeling food. The rest of the store was fine and meet my expectations.

Nice place overall. Has your basic necessities. If you need more than Groceries might want to head over to Fred Meyer down the street. Best prices are when you have a Club Card - which is free. The only compliant I have is the attendance to issues with the self-checkout. I am sure most places have the same issues, but you may find yourself standing there waiting for someone for a few minutes.

Here in OC we have the good fortune to have several supermarkets. I must say Safeway is the only one that offers the best bakery items and most variety. When your average small bakery is limited to the same old cupcake, turnover, or croissant give Safeway a try. I dont think youll be disappointed. Oh man, the cakes of all sizes are to die for. Safeway is the best bakery going.

Busy on holidays but what store isnt. Give your cashiers a break, they work very hard to please us. Courtesy clerks need a little work... They walk when told to get something when there is a long line and arent helping bag half the time. Thats what they are there for right? Other than that, i love this store. Great people work here and i find it quick on late night runs

I had a very unpleasant experance in the safway parking lot with a young women who had been released from the OC jail. I went in to safeway and told the manager. He was wonderful and calm made sure i was fine.then went out in to the parking lot to make sure she had left. I was very impressed. This happenened on 7-15-2017 @ about 8 am.

Apparently, customer service is not their concern at 7:30 AM, as nobody at the customer service counter, and the clerks who were either just getting off/starting work or on break getting a coffee from Starbucks had a laugh at my expense. Sure, its early, but got better service from the gas station down the road than in this store.

Always to expensive..For example fir a can if olives its $2.29 there and at Fred Meyers just down the street its $.89 cents...And the lines are just ridiculous and the cashiers are not friendly

Did some midnight shopping. Was surprised how many other people were doing the same thing. Employees were busy lumping freight but stopped to greeted me when they saw me. Pleasant experience

Organic veggies and fruit are always rotten or looks horrible! Bakery is good but needs improvement. Deli employees should wash their hands before preparing food for customers!

It is a very clean store with friendly staff and customers. Prices are normal for a Safeway store. Really a nice place to shop.
