If I could give negative stars, I would. I am a law student and my boyfriend and I walked into your store, "The friendliest store in town," with my service animal. When we were practically yelled at and stopped right before checkout by a manager (older lady with blonde-grey hair and glasses) and asked if he was a service dog. I replied, "Oh, I have always brought him in is this some sort of new law?" Of course being a law student I knew the law. She said, "No, we have never allowed animals in here. Theres a huge sign outside thats always been there you have to remove the dog." I then finally said, "This is actually a new law." After she continued to argue with me. To let everyone with a service animal know, according to state law, you do NOT have to provide proof that your pet is a service animal other than stating yes they are. You are also under no obligation to disclose what they are trained in or what your disability is. Never ever shopping here again which is rather unfortunate.

Great produce, always looks fresh and undamaged. They are not a very vegan friendly store however, since they have stopped having a veggie burger in the deli and very rarely have anything vegan in the Hot Bar. They have also stopped carrying some of the healthier items I liked, a brand of very low salt chips and a local brand of tempeh. I asked them about it and they replied that they are not a health food store. They said they cant get the Tempeh but the stores in Portland carry it. Since these responses I have started looking elsewhere for my health food items. Natural Grocers is near by and even Fred Meyer carries many health food items for a lower price.

This is a fantastic store. I really wish there was a New Seasons closer to my apartment. It can be a 15 to 20-minute drive, but its so worth it. Although I prefer to get my produce at Natural Grocers, these guys will definitely do for produce in a pinch. Much better than Fred Meyer. I love the fact that they have a full-service meat and seafood counter. They can even do custom cuts for you! They also have a great deli with lots of prepared foods and side dishes. They have a great bakery, a great cheese counter...absolutely one of the best grocery stores in town. And its much bigger than the Sellwood store, which equidistant from me in the opposite direction.

I went to this out of the way market on my way to a dinner party. I was in a little bit of a hurry so I needed help finding a particular item. I had the misfortune of bumping into an employee named Julia there; she said her husband was a manager at another store. So when I asked her to help me find the item Id come in for she acted very strangely. It was somehow beneath her to help me locate this one simple thing. If she knew my husband is a physician Im quite sure she wouldve changed her tune. Suffice it to say that I wont be going to this New Seasons Market again any time soon.

New Seasons is stunningly good. The people who work there are friendly beyond description, and the stores cleanliness and upkeep is unparalleled. The quality of the goods sold there are spectacular, and they take lots of extra steps to ensure you know all there is to know about everything you can purchase there. The signage in the produce department tells you which farm grew the particular item and where its located, and the same holds true for the seafood and meats as well. Recently added is Townshends kombuch on-tap. You cannot go wrong with New Seasons.

This is the store I go to. They have everything I need to prepare good quality meals. I have never had a bad experience in this store with the staff or the foods. Yes, some things you can get cheaper elsewhere, but on other items, theyre competitive. As far as meat prices go, you get what you pay for. I prefer to make one stop here and walk away happy knowing I have had a great experience shopping than go to many of the cut rate stores and deal with poor food choices and staffs with attitude. Give New Seasons a try, you wont regret it.

Yet again I get home with an expired dairy product from this particular store location. As soon as I put the product in my mouth it was obvious it had turned past its best by date. Im very concerned because Im nine months pregnant. I have spoken to the manager in charge of that area of the store multiple times about getting home with expired goods. If you do decide to shop here, be very diligent about checking all produce and perishable goods for their expiration dates.

It is not often that you have employees in the store actually help you save money AT checkout. Instead of a jar of bay leaves at almost $8, I was directed to the bulk bin. My cashier actually asked another store employee if she would mind grabbing me an equal amount of bay leaves while he rang me up. She did...end result? Less than 60 cents for bay leaves! It was my first time in the store, but NOT my last.

I love the new seasons stores, but this branch was surprisingly not that good. The produce section is not very big compared to other new seasons. The deli seems to be the main focus of this store, they have a make your own sandwitch bar, and a salad bar. The staff are very nice! They all seem to know the store well and can almost always help you, and if they cant they seek out someone who can.

Today I went to new seasons to buy staff presents for the clinic I work at. We had several transactions and needed gift receipts. Nick was our cashier and he was so patient with us! The business card got declined because their registers dont let you have several transactions with the same amounts. Nick was able to work with us to make this happen. Our staff members are going to be very happy!!

New Seasons is my happy place. Sure, the prices are little too high to be a one stop shop, but I love browsing through here because everyone is so friendly, the aisles are clean and extremely well organized, and they have a huge deli selection! Ive been missing my fix of Sprouts Farmers Market since I moved to Portland, and I think New Seasons has successfully filled that hole in my heart.

A huge selection of foods for all dietary needs and lifestyles: vegan, gluten-free, organic, etc. And a great deli section that serves as a de facto restaurant. Get your food and drink, including beer and wine, sit in the dining room or outside, pay for your meal (and groceries) all together when youre done. Extremely friendly and helpful staff; you can sample any product you like; just ask!

New Seasons Market in Happy Valley is the best grocery store around. They have healthy organic goods as well as a great deli, soup bar, salad bar, and hot takeout foods.Fresh fruit, organic meats, etc. Also a great floral department. I buy all my indoor plants from them. All of the people that work there are so friendly, helpful and love working there. It is a pleasure to shop there.
