Just stopped in to pick up 2 tomatoes and a bag of chips to pitch in for a family dinner. For chips and tomatoes, price ended up being $5.45! I even got the cheapest bag of chips I could find. It was $1.99 for smaller bag and $5.00-7.00 for the "family" size, which is the one I really wanted to get. I had a difficult time with self-checkout as well. I had to get help just because I hit, "I dont want to bag this item" The lady that was working was talking to another employee. I had to leave the station, walk over to her, and ask for help. Then I wanted to weigh my tomatoes but there was no "look-up code" option. I had to walk back up to the lady...this time I just asked them for the code number and neither knew it. Finally after scanning his over-ride card a couple times, he remembered the code for the tomatoes. ...anyway, Needless to say, this wont be a very good option to just run in and grab a few items kinda grocery store. Most likely Im going to run in to the nearest Winco.

Safeways bakery has always made such tasty cakes and cupcakes. I love taking them to events as I know they will be enjoyed. Heres the problem. The last two times I ordered, its been messed up. My sons birthday cupcakes for school were ordered with blue and red frosting so I could put webs on them. They came with white frosting and red/blue sprinkles. The manager did give us a discount on them. Now I ordered a 1/2 sheet cake for his soccer party with chocolate filling, it even says so on the order form. What I got was a 1/4 sheet with strawberry filling. The kids were disappointed their pieces were so small. The decorations were perfect, however. I no longer have faith that what I order will be correct from them. I feel it may be a better option to walk in and pick something I already know is the way I want, if they have it.

My daughter & I live on limited funds.. so when we go shopping, we pay VERY close attention to what we get. We went to get the chicken supper, with two sides, for $9.99, milk, & the 24 pack of nestlie waters.. We used our EBT card for the milk & waters & had to pay the deposit out of pocket.. when I confronted the manager, all I got was," that usually doesnt happen, thank you, have a nice day" & he moved to the next customer.. call corporate & get, "we will make a notation thank you & have a wonderful day" click.. $.85 may seem like just pocket change, but that $.85 would have went towards milk for next time.. NEVER AGAIN will we go here! wed rather shop @ Walmart or Fred Meyers!

Best experience I have ever had at a bakery, I will be using this bakery instead of Beaverton Bakery from now on. Roland could not have been more helpful, and eager to help with all my questions. I ordered a cake for my sons 3rd birthday but wanted to make some changes to the decor, they had absolutely no issues with my changes, then because of the extreme heat forecast i had to change the date of the party and they easily made the arrangements with pretty short notice. Wonderful cakes, my favorite chocolate buttercream frosting, and the best blueberry muffins my kids and I have ever had, WAY better than costco! A big thank you to Roland and his staff, you guys are amazing!!

Its really a waste of time doing any recycling cans need to be in a perfect condition not smashed or dented because the machines would not take it. We can see that very few people worry about the environment and dont do any recycling like in California. Over there we dont have machines we have actual places were the recycling things get weighed instead of scanned. Think on better ways to save the environment and at the same time help people to make a living out of recycling thanks.

I have unfortunately had several prescriptions filled in their pharmacy. They are the only pharmacy in town which is too bad. They are inadequately staffed and last night FORGOT to fill my prescription, after having several hours to complete the task. The wait times are excessive, and if they cannot do something as simple as remembering to fill a prescription it makes me wonder how competent they are to accurately give people their medication.

I cant leave a review of one visit at this SAFEWAY, because every time that I go to Safeway, Im happy with the staff! Rob, Nathan, and Carrie in particular are always willing to help find anything that I need? Theyre all very good at opening new checkstands as soon as there are a couple of customers in line. Even under the most trying times, the staff at Forest Grove SAFEWAY are always calm and friendly. I wish all Safeways were this nice!

Ive lived in Forest Grove for 20 years and shopped mostly at Safeway. Since its been bought by Albertsons the prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. Also the aisles are full of clutter and the check stands are cluttered up so its impossible to get your money out. The only Advantage as Albertsons is they have hired more Checkers and the lines are shorter. I have changed my shopping strategy and very rarely go to Safeway now

I called Safeway in a panic. My son, who is a student at Pacific, was suffering a horrible flu and I was desperately trying to find a way to get him much needed groceries and supplies for him. In describing my needs, Theresa offered to go above and beyond to help me if I wasnt able to find any other way. She indeed helped me and my son. Other reviews comment on the helpful employees, and I also found that to be true!

This is a really nice store with a surprisingly awesome selection of dairy-free items that I would have expected to have to drive to Hillsboro for. The produce is very good and the meat is too. The people are friendly and helpful, and its just the right size as far as I am concerned. Id do all my grocery shopping here if it wasnt kind of expensive.

I only go here when its absolutely necessary. The prices on every single item are 1/3 more than WinCo. The lines are always hella long. The customer service is pretty good, most of the time, but Safeway is just too expensive for the trouble. Try WinCo in Hillsboro if you have the time to drive. Youll save 1/3 off your grocery bill. I promise.

This place is what you would expect in most any Safeways, friendly staff and typical grocery options. Their organic store brand is always high quality, fair price, and widespread throughout the store. The prices in general vary is how comparable they are with other stores. They have pretty awesome sale prices, though!
