Home Depot is the only big box home improvement store in my town and they sure act like it. Nearly every time I visit my local HD, the staff seem to ignore the customers except to give them bunk information about their products. Ive observed many of them standing around talking to one another and have lost my patience numerous times with the lackadaisical service they provide (I purchase items for HD for work as well). During a recent visit, I asked for assistance with some mini-blinds (needed them custom cut to fit a window). The sales associated told me he could help after he helped another customer. Im normally a patient person (despite experiencing poor service at HD in the past), so I waited and walked around the mini blind section for about ten minutes. During this time, I didnt see another sales associated in the department to ask for help. Then I walked back over to where the sales associate was before and he was kicked up on a carpet roll shooting the breeze with the customers. To me, waiting for 10 minutes for help is unacceptable unless youre at the DMV. My plan was to get in and make my seemingly simple purchase, and get out. I ended up leaving empty handed after being blown off. Id be better off driving to the next town to go to Lowes, or driving clear to Eugene to go to Jerrys just to receive up to par customer service.

Worst delivery experience of my life. Ordered a dryer online on Saturday to be delivered the following Saturday. They called and said the online delivery system didnt work properly and could they please deliver it on Wednesday? So, took time off to receive the dryer on Wednesday, but the dryer never arrived. When I called, they said the order wasnt put into the system by the person I talked to and the earliest they could get it to me was the following Tuesday (old dryer is uninstalled and sitting outside, leaving me no way of doing laundry during the extra 6 days I wait). Since theres no way to get it sooner, what choice do I have? I set up to take more time off and wait for the dryer. Tuesday comes, and still no dryer. I call again, and they say its in the system to be delivered Wednesday, not Tuesday. Really? How many times can you screw up the same, simple order? Its not even an install. I just need you to get the dryer I bought and bring it to my house. If you need appliances, call Sears. If you need hardware, go to Robnetts. Home Depots prices keep going up, and just when you think customer service couldnt get any worse, theyll find a way to prove you wrong.

Home Depot resells trash. I made the mistake of assuming that returned items were at least tested to make sure theyre actually functional prior to selling them again when I bought a dryer yesterday. My husband spent all day installing the dryer because it had missing parts (which is to be expected when buying something that was already returned) only to find out at the end of the day that the dryer didnt even work. Extremely frustrated with this experience and waste of time and money. When we returned the dryer we asked if they do indeed test returned merchandise and was told "its up to the department", so basically no, you dont. We werent offered any other compensation or a new dryer, just a shrug at our day long inconvenience. I will never shop at Home Depot again honestly. Absolutely horrible experience.

No issues with the products; however, the install services are a disaster. I never had a single install go correct and I have had 4 installs in 2.5 years. Run if they offer to install or plan on shoddy work, missed deadlines and cancelled appointments. Avoid GMA Construction, Craft Doors and Windows, and Romanoff Floors. I do want to compliment the local Home Depot as they have done more than required to always address the lack of support from the installers. Even going so far as to send store employees to my home to move furniture the installer was paid to do. Kudos to our local Home Depot.

All but useless for appliance customer service... welcome to the big box store experience USA. After discovering within hours of our purchase that a particular appliance I purchased did not have a given feature that was misrepresented by the manufacturer they refuse to accommodate any concessions regarding returning the product. Had the appliance had power in the showroom I would have been aware of the problem and I would have reconsidered my purchase (I bought four appliances). None of this was taken into consideration when negotiating a resolve to this matter.

Store employees clueless beyond belief. Multiple visits, multiple times they have no idea where common items are located. Have a question they cant answer, they just shrug and walk away. On a positive note, employees are usually friendly, even if you interrupt their "gab sessions" with fellow employees (they same to do a lot of gabbing with fellow employees). Prices are often times higher than the "little stores" in town, although sometimes their prices are WAY low. All-in-all, not a favorite place to shop.

Ive found the staff here to be less than helpful. They dont know where things are much less how to use any of it. If you can find an employee (good luck), it seems like theyd rather stand around and talk with each other than help a customer. Saturdays are the only days they have enough staff that can be bothered trying to help. Instead of "Lets do this" the motto should be "Lets avoid this".

The workers at this Home Depot store are the friendliest Ive ever come across. I have found some pretty good deals here, too. Further, its been nice to see a store in this day and age that doesnt seem frightfully understaffed. They have a very easy return policy as well.

When my house was burglarized, the folks at HD found someone to put a new door on my house in one day, rather than the usual one-week turnaround time. I really appreciate that they recognized my special circumstance and the extra help! Thanks, Chris!

The Home Depot Staff is always willing to go above and beyond! We do a lot of remodeling and the Pro-desk is great about helping us track things down or even bringing it in from another store if they dont have it. Thanks for all you do Home Depot!

Great activities for kids on Saturday mornings with fun crafts. Good prices. We have always found the staff to be happier and more helpful than in most big box stores, which is great! Dog friendly, and family oriented, cant ask for more!

Cant complain about the service. Helpers dont run away from you if you need help. Lowes could take a lesson from you guys as they are somewhat pathetic. Workers seem genuinely concerned with you questions and projects to solve.

Almost always overpriced. Spent 15 minutes holding waiting to answer a simple question regarding the availability of an item after a similar online wait time. There are much better options than Home Depot.

Staff is hit and miss. Sometimes they are knowledgeable about their products, sometimes they arent, but hey, its a chain store. If you want experts instead of convenience, go to a Mom and Pop store.

I was in and out quickly. Very easy to find what I needed and all of the staff are helpful. I also got all the deck staining materials I needed for a very good price.
