Nerds- R-Us

Great store with a pretty nice selection and a very welcoming staff. One of the only good comic book stores around here. Weve found there selection of comics, merchandise, and collectibles very satisfying. Only problems we found were some of their facts are wrong on different topics like for example they were saying that the Flash (Barry Allen) appeared in Golden age when it was actually silver, and also if they could add more of a classic selection of items like more collectibles and anime, or even add older manga like Dragon Ball then this store would be perfect. But besides those small issues they are great and will help you fill youre nostalgic needs! I would suggest it to anyone looking for a good comic book joint!

Ive been a nerd for years. As a 40+ year old nerd I have spent more than my fair share of time in dirty, dank game stores and creepy comic corners managed by large dudes that make the Simpsons comic book guy look like a mormon eagle scout. TFAW is the opposite of this. Not a sleek corporate machine, but a community location with staff that work hard to make sure that their community is well served. Selection, special orders, subscriptions (with discount), and super sales, this place does it all and does it with a smile. Let me put it this way, if Things From Another World wasnt here, I would do my nerdly shopping online. The staff is what keeps this place vital.

Selection of products is definitely impressive for how small a shop it is. Great range of items from comics, toys, apparel, and Misc. I certainly enjoy the "Misc" because Im always fascinated by what strange new items they have in stock whenever I visit. The staff has always been very nice and helpful. I once saw an employee sprint down the street because a customer had left his wallet. Pretty impressive :-). The only thing I dont like about TFAW is that their markup seems to be pretty high. Items are pretty expensive compared to what you might find for the same items online.

When I was 15-16 I fell in love with this shop and spent a good amount of time in it, sadly I had moved out of the area for several years. 11 years later (and moving back to the area) I walked into TFAW with a big grin on my face as nostalgia swept over me. The people are fantastic, the Doctor Who corner excited me at first sight, stocked with new and old items, trinkets and patches, theres so much to look at and so many "I wants" and just not enough money in my pocket. If you havent stopped by, I say do so; its a must!

Been going here since I was a kid. They stock way more toys and Pop! figures now. Sad to see so many singles go away but I understand it is part of the bussiness and evolution of the culture into more main stream than 20 years ago. They still have a great selection of new singles and trades though. The staff is awesome and they all really know their stuff.

cool shop went in for the first time today for avengers vs xmen...got two good books but one i got ripped off on..i paid 14.99 for a comic book that only has a value of 8.00 in mint condition...feel bummed out that they put inexpensive books with ttheir price yones..i got avengers vs xmen #2D for 14.99 only worth 8.00 MINT!!!!! wft!!!!

This store has everything - comic books, old and new, accessories, toys, and apparel. Dungeons and Dragons. Dr. Who. Manga. The staff is very helpful as well. If they dont have it, they might be able to get it or find it. Good for nerds of all ages.

Solid selection to appeal to almost any nerd of any age. They surprisingly had a solid section of childrens books. I was going to walk out with something for myself, but after diving into their kids section I opted for a book for my daughter.
