I have been frequently shopping in this market; in fact, I have enjoyed all the tasty items they offer in the store! However, when I went and pick up a few pastries during lunch time today, the young man who served me today just grabbed all the pastries I had ordered-including cakes, pies, and others with his bare hands without using any glove or serving tool! For the sanitary reason, I no longer have a peace of mind to enjoy the pastries any more! 24 hours later, I warmed up a piece of the pastries,"olive oil cake" and ate it, found a small piece of particle in it that scratched my tongue and throat - it is a small piece of plastic paper with partial printing on it! It is a huge disappointment! I had always believed that a reputable gourmet establishment like "Stonehorse" would have a better standard and enforcement in food sanitation!

Best croissant Ive had this side of the pond. Similar bakery prices to Panera, but at LEAST a thousand times better. The meats are expensive, but extremely high quality. The cured meats (pancetta, prosciutto, peperoni, capicola) are the same price as reasor;s but of higher quality and cut fresh. The desserts are TO DIE for. Salads and appetizers are gourmet deli quality and prices... but budget prices compared to lambruscoz They pack an astounding amount of gourmet ingredients in that little shop.
