I bought my couch and love seat as well as my sons bed from Value City and added the insurance on the purchase just to protect myself. Well the time finally came that I had to use the insurance that I purchased for my bed. I called the insurance number around the first of August and didnt get a reply for two weeks. The reply came in the forms of an email that said a repair person would contact me in 7 days. GUESS WHAT!!!! That never happened so I called again waited again on a reply and it finally came again in the form of another email saying someone would reach me in 7 days. Never happened but about a week later around September 8th I got a random call to come pick up my item from the store. GREAT but the random email said it would be delivered so now I have to drive an hour to the store. Thank you. Now Im at the store and the lady says my 5 year warranty is complete and do I want to buy another. I said wait its only been a year what do you mean complete. Well apparently with Value City if you use the 5 year warranty anytime during the 5 years you lose the remainder of the coverage you paid for. BAD business. UNiters was the company that offered the plan that never showed or called. So from my experience I would say spend a little more and go somewhere else because the money for the warranty that they offer but dont fulfill will cover the price at another company. I am glad GM doesnt do business like this. DO NOT PURCHASE THE WARRANTY FROM HERE IT IS A SCAM.

Worst place to buy from ever. The experience with the salesperson was horrible. I would never buy anything ever again from Value City of TOLEDO ever. First of all they were suppose to deliver the couch by May 12 2011 and they didnt, after I had told the salesperson that we needed the couch by that date. Yes I was very disappointed, but I let it go and didnt cancel. They promised that by the 26th of May it would arrive, but they called about 2-3 before the date to say that it wouldnt be available by then. Instead they said that wed have to wait until June 20th or something around that date. At that moment I had to cancel. Even though I paid cash for this product they would not return my money until a week later. Now it has been a week and I havent received any money back in cash or check as they said it would be returned. Worst experience ever I would never do business with these people. NEITHER SHOULD ANYONE. WHAT A SCAM!!!!

My husband and I stopped in yesterday looking for a sectional along with some tables. I told him what I was looking for, he pointed and said "two rows over" so we walked that way, and after about 20 minutes found something we really liked. Finally he returned asking if we found anything, I said yes this sectional along with tables what kind of deal can you give me? He said not more than 10% "we are not art van, we dont mark our prices to go lower" I didnt even know his name, didnt bother to tell us. He printed a reciept with the pricing for me after I asked twice. I was so turned off by the customer service, that we spent the money we had at Ashley furniture instead on a sectional where they had superior customer service and were willing to work with us. Just because we are a young couple does not mean we were not serious buyers. Just to mention, your living room set was my top pick but how I was treated was what changed my mind.

This is the third time I have attempted to shop there and two out of three times I am met with employees that cant even greet me or ask me if I need help. Once I found something I was interested in I was so turned off I left without buying. Not one but maybe 3-4 employees walked past us without even a nod or smile or a can I help you? One older man just sat in a chair and did nothing but stare at his phone. I will never shop here again. Its bad when customers who have money to spend leave your store because of the staff. Id be hiring new people who know how to work customer service. Theres a store down the street that were perfect, they asked if we needed help, got to know our needs and explained their merchandise. Value city needs to take some lessons! What a waste of time.

Although the prices are cheap note that your service, quality and pretty much every experience will show it. The dresser had large metal staples in the drawers which were ripping out the wood, which was okay I guess since its the inside (but why not pull the staples out instead of leaving them hanging 1/2 way...) The worst part of it though is that I bought the furniture warranty / cleaning and it clearly states so on my bill. When I tried to get service I was told that I was not in the system of their independent cleaner...which means no service for me. They also politely told me there was no way to get a refund. Well that helps.

Worst customer service I encountered in a whole day of furniture shopping in Toledo. The air conditioning in the building was not working that day so most of the staff was congregated in front of the open doors when I walked in. The salesman who offered his help asked what I was looking for, took me to the dining room section and stated this is what we have then walked away. I didnt see him again until I was walking out and I heard him say thank for stopping. Needless to say, I purchased from another store that day and will NEVER go back again.

Worst store ever. I Bought the service plan for a sectional that covers it for 3 years... I have had to have them come out for service 3 times so far. Every time they give a 3 hour window that they never make it on time. Today from 330-630 I had a window to get part of my couch returned. Its now 640 I have had no phone call explaining they will be late. I know when I call the store in 5 minutes they will say sorry, wont care, and will offer no type of customer service solution. This store is horrible and I will never buy anything from them again.

I will never purchase furniture their in my life... I purchased the warranties on my stuff i bought from there and im still waiting almost a year for my furniture to be fixed.. Everytime i call the person is not there or im told to leave my info n she will call me back.. But nothing!!! Im so upset that i didnt make them wait on the money to purchase my stuff i paid in full up front to be treated in this matter.. I will never step a foot in this place.. Will definitely continue my services with art van instead.

Horrible customer service. Me and my husband went there couple days ago and the guy that greeted us was all careless. After we told him what specific looking for and our budget . He was all careless and said yeah look around we have that. He didnt care to go around and show our options. We just left I didnt even want to get anything from there, we went to another furniture store and spent our money there which was amazing service and people were friendly and seemed like they cared for their customers.
