My first step in shopping for an engagement ring was a quick google search. I was hoping to find a local store as opposed to a "big box". I wanted this large, once-in-a-lifetime purchase to be made with a more personal buying experience. All that being said, I am definitely a cost conscious person, and also wanted the best deal possible. However, I was not willing to sacrifice on quality. In other words, I wanted it all, and thats exactly what I feel I received at McGivern Diamonds. Honestly, after reading the outstanding google reviews spanning YEARS, I decided to stop into the store one afternoon on my lunch break and check it out. I was so comfortable with Mike and his staff, if I had known exactly what I wanted out of the ring, I would have bought it that day. I never went anywhere else. I found the prices to be right in line with what I was expecting (perhaps even less) and the quality and GIA certifications were a must to help make me confident I was buying the best. All this to say, Mike and I emailed back and forth for a couple weeks as he helped me select the perfect ring. I returned to the store once more to make the purchase, and again 2-3 weeks later (exactly as promised) to pick up the ring. Im not one to take the time to write reviews (though I rely on them heavily when making purchases), but this one deserves to be written. Mike and his team are fantastic. My experience at his store was top-notch, and my bride-to-be got the ring of her dreams. My only problem now is she no longer looks at me when i talk to her, because shes too distracted by her diamond!!!!!!! Thanks, Mike... well be back for the wedding band!!!!!!

I had such a great experience with my first diamond purchase from Mike for a matching diamond to complement my old engagement ring that I was turning into a pair of earring and without any hesitation, I emailed Mike again when it came time for another diamond purchase. I had a budget in mind that I wanted to spend on a 2+ carat cusion cut diamond with a customized platinum halo setting and Mike went above and beyond in finding me the perfect stone to go with my customized setting, which the designer did a fabulous job on. Ive been getting nothing but raved reviews on the final ring and that always makes a girl happy. Mikes prices are very competitive and if anything, probably cheaper than his competitors when I was looked around for prices. What makes Mike stands out a mile from his competitors is his prompt and honest response and opinion. He doesnt just want you to buy from him once, he wants to build a long term relationship with all his customers and Im happy to say Ill be emailing him again when it comes time to another diamond purchase. I am one happy customer of McGiverns Diamond!

I spent several months trying to find the perfect ring at a competitive price, but ended up at Kays and other big box stores prior to stopping at McGiverns. Although the personnel were pleasant to work with at Kays, I felt the prices were incredibly inflated, and felt pressured to buy into warranty programs. Fortunately I had a 90 day return at Kays, and my fiancé and I stopped at McGiverns on a suggestion of a friend. Mr. McGivern worked with me personally, over several days/emails to customize the piece, and find the perfect diamond for the setting. The entire ring set was several hundred dollars under what the cost of Kays price was just for the engagement ring, and the stone from McGivern was certified at VS2 H. Kays diamond was not certified, was a smaller carat weight, and listed as I1 to I2, bottom scale of clarity. My experience with this company was incredible, I feel the value and service is unmatched and I recommend them highly. Save yourself the hassle/pain of the big box stores, and start at McGiverns first.

My husband and I were put in an unfortunate situation when my wedding set was stolen. We had previously bought the diamond from McGivern and knew instantly that was where we were going to return to get another diamond. Knowing nothing could replace what my husband gave me, we were striving to find something together and look at it as a stepping stone in our relationship that now includes Boy/Girl Twins!! Mike personally emailed me and was willing to do whatever it took to find us the perfect diamond that fit our parameters. He was always on the ball with responding to my emails, questions and concerns and made the process a breeze. I recommend him to any of my friends and family that are looking for diamonds or jewelry in general! The prices, quality and customer service you receive from Mike make you feel like you are a part of his family! We will definitely be looking to work with him again!

I rarely write reviews and only do so when my expectations have been exceeded by a wide margin. 16 years ago I bought my wifes engagement ring from McGivern. Then 10 years later I bought her a five diamond band as a 10 year anniversary gift. And just recently, I bought my wife another diamond ring to complement the others. So Im a repeat customer over a long time period and have received the same consistent level of outstanding service and value over and over again. All of my purchases have been done via email and on Mikes website without ever having seen the diamonds before purchase, and I and my wife couldnt be more pleased with the quality recommendations Mike makes when you tell him what youre looking for. Hes a professional that you can trust. And I have yet to find a better value anywhere. I will continue to think of McGivern first for future diamond purchases.

McGivern Diamonds has earned my business from here on out! My experience was absolutely wonderful. Found a diamond listed on the website and within minutes received an email back from Mike answering all my questions. Received the diamond in the mail within a couple days of purchase. After receiving the diamond it wasnt exactly what I wanted, had nothing to do with quality or any misrepresentation on Mikes behalf just wasnt what I thought I wanted. After contacting Mike he was extremely helpful and eager to help me find exactly what I wanted. Return process was a breeze, and days later I found a stone listed on another website, I contacted Mike and he was able to get me that same exact stone at a much better price. I had it within a couple days and could not be happier. The level of professionalism was off the charts. I wouldnt buy a diamond anywhere else again!

Absolutly the best jewelery store around. Went in last year to buy my girlfriend a necklace for christmas, the first thing i relized when i went into the store is the quality just hits you strait in your eye. Needlesss to say the girlfriend loved it and dont you know i just made my 4th purchase this year and guess what it was, thats right, a wedding ring!! When the need arose to get the wedding ring i simply went strait back to Mcgiverns for my needs, not only did we get the best selection, best price, and best service, we have piece of mind that we bought from this areas best store for quality, thats what you get at Mcgiverns!! Go nowhere else for your needs, or better yet, shop elsewhere first and then before you make your purchase, go see Mike and his family at Mcgvern, then you to wil know what we know.
