Me and my fiance went into the store to buy our wedding bands this past Black Friday. Of all the things, we thought wedding bands would be a simple part of the wedding process. We went into the store and found bands we both liked! That was the only good part of this experience. We were offered a Kay credit card, which we politely declined, even though if were to sign up, we would get discounts off both of our rings. The salesman did give $100 off of her ring to begin with since we were buying both of our rings there at the same time. We decided to do a payment plan for her ring, and also get her engagement ring resized. When we went to go do the paperwork, we were handed multiple pieces of paper, and asked a multitude of questions. Knowing we were gonna go on the payment plan, I did not mind answering questions about my SSN # and such. While filling out the paperwork, we confirmed multiple times with the associate, that we were NOT getting a CC. He confirmed that was true, just a payment plan. Well first we get her engagement ring back, and the size was wrong! They had to send it back out because they messed up the sizing. Now a week later, a credit card arrived in my name from Kay. Me and my fiance both called into the store, and spoke with the manager, both obviously irritated and a bit angry over what we felt was misled information. The manager was both unhelpful, and told us both that we could not doing anything about because I signed some papers. Foolish on me, I realize this now. So what turned out to be a simple visit, has turned into a headache, a drain on our credit, and has given us something we both dont want, and we have yet to receive the rings. Poor customer service and follow through. All I wanted was what I payed for and nothing more, and it is obvious that this store does not offer that possibility.

My fiancé and I have had the best experience with this store and will never go anywhere else for our jewelry needs! While we did purchase my engagement ring at the Franklin park mall store with no troubles we were excited when we realized we wouldnt have to go to the mall anymore! From the first time weve gone in just looking for wedding bands they have been helpful! They asked about us and our everyday lives to find the best options for us. When they suggested a custom band for my ring I was a little hesitant but they explained the process and then gave us time alone to discuss the option we wanted to go with. After we decided on the custom route the process was very fun to see my ring go from an idea to a beautiful piece of jewelry was very exciting! It was all very quick and simple as well! Ive had my ring sized a couple times and once it was running behind they kept me updated on when it would be back and offered to call and push for them to hurry. Weve never felt pressure from them to purchase anything which was refreshing and why we originally came back. However, after all the great customer service well never go anywhere else again!

I can honestly say I received the best customer service I have ever received in my life here. They made the process of selecting a ring for my now Fiancé a breeze, handled my problems with financial issues with a smile on their faces, and truly made me feel like family when Im in here. Picking a ring for the person you want to spend the rest of your life with is inevitably nerve wracking, but I guarantee that Kay Jewelers will make this process less frightening.
