I will never set foot in this store again. I had done my research on which air rifle I wanted to purchase, shot a friends, and went in to buy my own version at Kames today. I went to the air gun counter at approximately 2:30p.m. today and the worker was rude and dismissive. When I told him which model I wanted, he asked me: "Why do you want such an inferior rifle?" He then went on to point out everything he thought was bad about the model I wanted and why I needed to buy a different brand. When I pointed out he was wrong about the rifle I wanted (regarding specs, propulsion method), he said: "Oh. Youre right. I was thinking of a different model." Even then, he still kept pushing more toward a different model. When I told him I wanted the one I came in for, he grabbed the model he was trying to upsell me, a pellet, and then told me to come with him to the back room where he fired the round into a bullet box. I turned around and walked out. Apparently my $300 wasnt good enough for Kames. I will not be back. Horrible experience.

Visited your establishment on Saturday, 18May. Went with a neighbor who, like me, knows something about firearms. One of your associates, first name of Keith and a former Marine, spent time with both of us answering many questions - from basic Q&A to the more complex concerning the capabilities and considerations of various firearms and ammunition. Without question, Keith was the most knowledgeable and professional individual Ive met at any Outfitter or gun store in years. My neighbor and I were more than impressed, so much so that I sending this e-mail, something I rarely do. My compliments to Keith and the individual at Kames that hired him for your firearms department staff. Semper fi!

I am a lifetime NRA member, a CHL holder and never convicted of a felony. Ive bought 4 different firearms and spent thousands of dollars on ammo and gear at Kames. Each time theyve put a "hold" on my transaction preventing me from taking my gun(s) home. My 5th attempt to purchase a gun they told me I would have to wait again. They are apparently unaware of Ohio HB 234 the states a CHL issued after March 23rd 2015 serves as NICS background check. The state of Ohio gave me a permit to carry in public but apparently theyve got to think about it. What a joke. I will not do business with them will refer my friends and family and anyone who asks to another FFL accredited business.

The salesman was good and helped me find a knife that suited me well. I selected a SOG. Im happy with it other than some grinding when I open it. I contacted SOG and they were aware of the issue and suggested I return it to the store for exchange since it was less than a month old. I returned it and was surprise when they refuse to exchange it and told me it would take 6 to 8 weeks to get it repaired. I prefer buying local and dont mind paying more for good service. SOG agreed to take care of this issue with their product but I cant recommend Kames to anyone.

Extended wait every time I purchased a firearm from them. Despite being an Ohio CLH holder. They apparently do not respect the laws in place FOR law abiding gun owners. Their firearm and ammo selection is dwindling while their prices continue to rise. On top of that their sales staff in firearms staff (especially Steve the "manager") are self righteous and condescending. I would NOT recommend this store to anyone.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I have purchased many guns in my life. I have only been delayed 1 time elsewhere. Ive attempted to purchase 3 or 4 guns from here and every single time I get delayed. Ive even left there and went to fins the same day after being delayed and still was cleared for purchase. Definitely pisses me off. And definitely not coincidence.

Big fan of Kames. Fortunate to have it right in my backyard as I know people who drive a good distance to shop here. Good selection and comparable to many other larger chain stores, but the prices are ALWAYS better than the chain stores. Selection and SALES on ammo are good and provide and opportunity to stock up for a reasonable price.

Visited this store while in Ohio on business. They definitely seemed to have anything you could want for just about any sport. Great selection of guns and ammo. Got a great deal on some S&W .40 cal ammo and found the perfect size case for my Henry Mares Leg pistol. Thanks to Matt for helping find the perfect case!

No one will even look at you let alone ask if you need help at the firearms counter. Havent been there in almost 7 years due to the same issue but decided to try it again and nothing has changed. Kames needs to take some notes from there competitors about customer service.

Im in Kames on a regular basis supporting my hobbies and those of my sons. Its a great local resource to be able to get such good advice. Theyve helped us keep our dirt bikes running and theyve helped my boys grow in their hobbies including archery and shooting.

In my experience I bought 3 guns from them all at once. Not friendly at all and I had to keep asking them questions about the guns. Almost like they were doing me a big favor. Salesmen they are not! Not a good experience at all a shame though was a nice store.

Terrible service from Steve the firearms manager. They have a mediocre gun and ammo selection with and above average pricing and unnecessary gun holds for lawful Ohio CHL owners. They are the closest FFL dealer to but never patronize this establishment again.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Kames has a great selection of outdoors equipment, from hunting and fishing to Motor X, they always seem to have what Im looking for. Convenient location and very easy to get in and out, without breaking the bank.

Great Experience, always. I have shopped at Kames since I was a little kid. It is funny to see myself shopping there now with my kids. The selection is fantastic and the guys there are extremely helpful. I will always go to Kames first.

This is what all sporting goods stores should strive for. We dont have any gander mountain, bass pro shop, or find, feather, furrier- type chains near me... So they are filling a hole thats just missing in the area.
