Long story short, I had to get some prescriptions filled early because I work out of the country. My Dr. writes them for 3 months, with plenty of refills just in case. The pharmacy and my Dr. have been given papers stating so, and that everything should be in 1 bottle. If not, my boyfriend has to mail them to me and sometimes I dont receive them for some reason, so I prefer not to do this. I called the one in Springboro to see if I could get an early refill on one of my blood pressure medicines. The pharmacist lies and tells me its on a DEA watch list for being abused. It sounded shady to me cause I cant believe anyone would abuse this. I contact the DEA. Its not on any watch list. I call another Kroger pharmacy to ask what the deal is. This pharmacist tells me same BS, when I say that isnt true she gets irate and hangs up on me. Fast forward a few months and I get the same medication filled at this Kroger on Towne Blvd. Im 2 days late picking it up, so they put it back for some bizarre reason. I call to have it filled again. He goes to pick it up, and they tell him theres only 60 in the bottle and there should be 90. I take this med 3xs a day. It was also supposed to be for 2 months instead of 1. So I should have had 180 total. So he waits 15 minutes for them to fill it, and they tell him hes good to go. He brings it home, I count it and still only 60 in the bottle. I have 3 different people count it, thinking Im losing my mind and miscounting. Nope only 60. So I call, they put me on hold forever while they count their stock. Then they get on the line and tell me the other 90 will be ready, INCLUDING the 30 missing from the other bottle. That my insurance only paid for a month and someone put the other month back, and miscounted while putting the other 90 back in the bottle and only put 60. So 2 days later, I go up there to pick it up. I count it, and theres only the 90. The missing 30 is STILL nowhere to be found. I take it back to the pharmacy, I could already tell the girl who walked up to the counter was hating the world that day. My boyfriend and I tell her the story, being as nice as possible. We even said, "hey you werent here, its not your fault. She was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. She said I should have brought it back when I first noticed the 30 missing. Well, I would have had anyone told me that when I called. She says they have to call my doctor before they can issue the missing 30. I ask why, because what does he have to do with them miscounting? I ask what they normally do, she says they count their stock and issue what is missing. I ask why they cant do that now. She has the audacity to tell me that it is highly unlikely thats what happened! Insinuating that Im lying over a stupid ass blood pressure medicine! We told her she was being extremely rude. She responds by threatening to call my doctor. I told her to go ahead, they know I work out of the country and that they have my papers stating I do, and that sometimes I have to get things filled early! I was so angry, I was starting to shake, and my blood pressure is shooting through the roof. At this point, the pharmacist walks over to see what the commotion is about. This girl starts pointing out there are notes not to fill that med early. I said my doctor surely didnt put it on there, and then it dawns on me that the rude pharmacist from the other Kroger is the one who did that courtesy for me. The pharmacist was very kind, she took one look at the computer and figured out what had happened with the miscounting, and was very apologetic. Shes the only reason I didnt contact the regional manager or go higher up the chain. I know they have a rough and thankless job. But, that is no excuse for the techs behavior. If I behaved that way at any retail job Ive had in the past, I would be replaced. My boyfriend recorded this whole thing on his phone, just in case, and Im still debating on whether to post it.

This pharmacy is a hot mess. They also seem to charge more than other pharmacies in the area. I have a high deductible plan and the more I have to pay for prescriptions means that I have less money to feed my family. I received a phone call from a pharmacy rep stating they were not going to fill my prescription(Otezla) until I could prove to them that I could pay for it. I guess it cost a lot of money and Krogers didnt want me wasting their time by filling a prescription that only a millionaire or a Care Source recipient can afford. Rude! I have the voice recording on my cell phone to prove it.

Great pharmacy. I worked retail pharmacy for 8 years, so I know what it is like. Also, for the previous post, Otezla is a specialty drug that costs thousands, so no, the pharmacy was not going to fill it without informing you of the high cost first. Why would a company order a medication that very few people take, just to take a loss on it? Give me a break. To be clear, I have worked for three different pharmacies (two of them retail) and none of them Kroger. This is just a person defending a store against the ignorant.

Was told original wait time of 45 minutes, ended up having to come back almost 3 hours later and when I picked it up, they only had one of my two prescriptions ready.
