Great selection of radio control parts and accessories. Lots of items in stock. The customer service is where they fall short. Staff is rude or doesnt seem to give the time of day for answering questions. Took a drone in for a motor replacement, took three weeks to even get the tech to get back with me about the status. When I dropped it off with the kid behind the counter and gave him the symptoms and what motor was bad. He blew me off and did not relay this to the tech. Was just in there recently to purchase a new short course truck and one of the salesman was too busy on their cell phone to answer a question and the other had no clue as to the answer to my question, and had no motivation to find the answer. All in all it is the only hobby shop close to me and they will get what business I choose to give and the rest unfortunately wont stay local and go to big online companies

The staff rocks, my boyfriend and I went in to buy drones yesterday and we were helped by two guys who waited patiently for what had to be an hr while we asked a billion questions and went back and forth on drones. One guy was showing another customer a drone and advising how much damage it can take and that he threw them around etc. so I told him to slam it on the ground now just to prove to us that it can take the hits and he didnt even think about it he just slammed it into the ground. I know for me that shows they stand by their what they sell at their store and what they say they are not just trying to sell things. Even though with initial setup I found out one of the blades of my drone doesnt work and will be exchanging it, their customer service is amazing and Im sure this just happened to be a weird bad luck fluke for the box I picked out lol.

Extremely friendly helpfull staff. Went there looking for a universal battery charger, it was in stock but the guy who was helping me said the adapter i needed was not. another staff member overheard and said "i have one that belongs to me and i dont need it" then said if he can find it i could have it. After about 10 min he walked up and said here you go and gave me the part i needed. Then as i was shopping around some more the guy who was originaly helping me walked up and said he found stuff to make one and offered to build it for the price of the parts. Ive been shopping there since i started in rc hobbies 13 years ago and ive been to a lot of shops. I can honestly say its the inventory and more importantly the staff that makes this shop the first one i go to when i need something, they never disapoint.

Great place for buying gifts - they treat you more like a partner than a customer and everything there is current. They know their stuff and have everything in stock that Ive needed. They are up to date on all the most current R/C stuff out so its easier to just talk with them then to spend hours online reading a bunch of old out of date reviews. Theyre more concerned with suggesting the right machines for you than making a buck. I prefer to buy here than online - the pricing is about the same as you get online, so I buy-local and support them. They also service everything you buy right there onsite and you wont get that online, and they have a some pretty cool public tracks, indoor and outdoor. So if youre into gas/electric/RC/hobby stuff I highly recommend going with The Hobby Shop.

This place has anything and everything. I love RC though. One of the staff miss informed me on a motor/esc combo and I bought it not knowing I was misinformed. Installed it and bad things happened, but I took it back the next day and the owner made it MORE than right!!! He went above and beyond and helped me out huge. Only one complaint I have is there is one employee thats arrogant. Not personable at all and puts his employees down and talks down to them. If you manage to stay away from him you will have a very good and pleasant experience... I still wanted to give 5 stars because of how the other employees were and the owner! Fix that one employee and its a PERFECT place. Thanks guys.

This is one of the best hobby shops Ive been to in a long time. This is the definitive go-to location for all things. Parts, full kits, paints, small children toys and best of all.. EXPERIENCE. Usually hobby shops have a dad and their kids helping out in the store, but these guys know their stuff. It really comes in handy when they can cross reference parts right in the store for you and help you make good choices on upgrades or replacement parts. Theres an extensive department just for remote controlled toys as well as models. If youre looking for a hobby shop - this is your best bet!

No help long line..tried to return a drone that didnt fly above 17.9 ft paid $400 plus tax and they wont return it but want to work on it for a fee..then tell me where we fly it is a restricted area which is my house...then tell me its against rules to fly for company use which when I bought it I told the sales kid thats why I was buying it and never mentioned anything about rules of flying this is my first drone purchase from this store and LAST! This store is a joke and will never recommend it to anyone..oh and filing a BBB suit against it

Absolutely amazing. Randy and his crew are always helpful, always knowledgeable, and their pricing is as good as, or better than, online retailers. They keep extra parts in stock. Support your local hobby shop, because these folks have earned it. Randy is still as excited about all of this as he was when he opened this location. Love this place, and glad its close to home. Patience, pricing, and inventory are all winners here.

Extremely knowledgable staff, maybe to the point of over-whelming. Beware of this guy named Jason, he is an expert and will let you know it. Talks your ear off! But thats a good thing for beginners...I come here for helicopter parts and they have EVERYTHING for every hobby! Most importantly, they have the cheapest prices when compared to other local shops. The store needs new carpet, thats my only complaint lol.

Great staff, very knowledgeable. they need to offer cheapo electric batteries, motors, etc. however. good plane selection, but need to keep those small batteries/parts in stock bc the planes and larger parts can be ordered online, but people go to the local hobby shop to get parts/batteries quick. because of their staff, though, they are by far the best hobby shop in dayton.

I puchase two software programs and i took one back for a refund. First he said they dont refund software programs! Then the manager tried to show me a sign on the counter which was cover up with things. Then accused me of opening the box up! The box was never open up and was the way I got it from them! I will never shop at this store again!
