Larry Taylor

I had first gotten to know Jim Collins as he and I were involved in Martial Arts together for years and as I got to know him I discovered he had an artistic side. So we introduced him to tattooing in our shop and he progressed rapidly aquiring skill and great practices in the art of tattooing. Him and the crew at Gem City Tattoo club create tattoos with a good foundation assuring the client has some art that will stand the test of time. We feel fortunate to have had great times with Him and knew he was destined for success. Clean and conscientious work it the formula they are working there. Coffe has a very creative mind and is able to render art that one would only dream about. Misty has aquired skill in creating water color style tattoos that none can compare to. Jim has always been incredibly patient and kind. His work is amazing and so detailed its insane. You can tell the man loves his work and Im always so proud to show off the tattoos I have from him. All of my tats done by him still looks as fresh as the day I came home with it and I couldnt be happier. I know the other artists in the shop are amazing as well, but Ill never have any tattoos by anyone but the man himself. You will not be disappointed walking in or out. He takes his time to listen to you and really get the best understanding possible of what you want on your body for the rest of your life. The shop is always immaculate and has such a fun and upbeat ora about it - youll be comfortable immediately. You will not regret going to Gem City.

Ive been a client of Jim Collins for 10 years now, and I know hes been tattooing for over 20 years! Excellent traditional tattoo work! Ive had my entire back, along with my most of my left arm done by him and am constantly getting compliments on every one. Misty and Coffee have been best friends of Jims for years and are very talented artists who have been in the industry for a long time. Misty does excellent watercolor tattoos, and Coffee is legit the best cartoonist Ive ever seen. Alex Cooper moved here from Cincinnati, and has made his name for himself here in Dayton with the quality of his work! Very tight knit group who will for sure help you with any of your tattoo wishes!

My husband and I spontaneously decided we wanted to get matching tattoos after we finninshed filling out our marriage certificate last year. We decided to hit up Gem City Tattoo Club because it was just minutes from the court house. Anyway, we absolutely loved the service we received, they were all very kind and paid attention to detail and cleanliness, and took pride in their work. They made me feel really comfortable - do to the fact it was my first tattoo and well, I was a bit nervous. I appreciated their patients very much, Haha!

I went to this tattoo shop twice. I can say Im not pleased with this service nor am I happy with the tattoo! They messed up my tattoo. They blew out my tattoo! I wont recommend this tattoo shop to anyone

This is the only place I will ever get a tattoo. Gem City Tattoos is the best for me. Jim Collins has dont all of my Tattoos except 2 and I wish he would have done them also.
