Assumes customer’s friends are “inebriated” while laughing at cat videos. No laughing allowed here. DEFINITELY dont watch a cat video and show it to your friends who may also find it funny. The customers in pain wont be able to hear the soothing screamo music over your laughter. And don’t dare have a laugh at the nipple-pinching painting. Count your decibels, you mongrels! To elaborate: 8 of us - 3 couples and our two additional friends came in to have small pieces done together. One of the girls was getting her first tattoo here (script on the arm) and the other 3 girls wanted very tiny “cat ears” tattoos on the inside of the fingers – being completely okay with the fact that it’ll fade. The receptionist said the artists would only do the tops of the fingers, so we couldn’t get them on the inside. Then one of the girls asked for the cat ears to go on the outside of the wrist instead, but was told there would be a $50 minimum, for what would have been two tiny triangles of ink. I am fully aware that asking for tiny, simple tattoos can be taken as offensive to tattoo ARTISTS who prefer to do actual works of art. My cousin is a tattoo artist who OWNS his own tattoo parlor, and my mother and sister are artists. And yes, I could easily go to him instead. But I chose to support my friends and get something small, nearby, together. And why not support what looked like a really cool local shop with really good art? We were happy and excited to find a cool new place…until we laughed too hard. Also, from a business standpoint – it is completely understandable that there is not much to gain in doing small pieces, thus the $50 minimum. However, if you have one person getting a tattoo for $60, and 3 others getting tattoos at, say $30 a piece, you could have easily made $140 that night, minimum. Instead you made at total of $60 and lost 8 future customers. But that’s your business decision. All we know is that this is by far the stuffiest and most judgmental tattoo parlor any of us have ever been to. It’s too bad we were at Starbucks and the mall beforehand and NOT having a drink before visiting this joyful place.

Went to get an old tattoo redone because I got it in my basement when I was much younger by an amateur. Sean Green turned it into a brand new tattoo and I couldnt be happier with what he did. The choice of colors, the line work as well as the time he took to fix this piece was incredible and he was an awesome guy to talk to as well. Sad to see him leaving this shop and I wish him all the best. Ill still be back because after looking over the other artist portfolios this place is packed with talent. Thanks for making my experience a great one yall! -Alex Jay ( The Almost Bermuda Piece lol)

Elizabeth has done 3 tattoos on me, including a tiger that goes from my arm to passed my hip that I absolutely adore. She has a customer for life, and I send all of my friends her way. She works fast, but that doesnt affect how gorgeous her work turns out. She is a gifted and gentle tattoo artist. She also put up with me wanting to marathon the Jurassic Park movies when we had a 10 hour sitting. Im already planning on getting two more pieces from her. :)

The rudest staff I have ever come in contact with. I think its irresponsible and unfounded for someone working the front desk at your tattoo shop to suggest we go to someones garage instead to get cheaper rates on tattoos, I am not a stranger to the tattoo world. The health hazard that poses is significant. Maybe you should lower the volume you blast your death metal so customers can have a conversation with each other at a lower tone of voice.

I got my piercing done by Prarie about 2 months ago, and she was super awesome! Recently I went to visit again, since I had a little mishap (lost the ball to my Medusa piercing), and they helped me replace it with ease! The staff is so cool, and always have a good attitude, which at this point has won over my business! I plan on getting a tattoo very soon, and I know Ill get treated professionally and with respect.

I went for my first tattoo today. Artist was little impatient. As they do not have a catalog and all designs are custom drawn, people will not like it the first time. After couple of corrections, artist asked me to draw. If i was an artist there is no need to go to the shop. Artist should be patient and give that comfort feeling for the customer so that they refer few and would be willing to come back.

I had the pleasure of going in a second time, seeing Wes this time. We were fairly able to discuss a price based on how long the tattoo may or may not take. His work is some of the most beautiful work I have on my near-complete sleeve. If you guys are looking for a tattoo shop in the Dunwoody/Atlanta area, I definitely think Empyrean is the way to go. Thank you guys for a pleasing second chance!

I havent even gotten a piercing yet from this amazing shop. But the piercer, Prarie was a beautiful soul. She told me how to take care of an infected snug piercing, was patient, and kind. The infected snug was caused by another piercing shop that does five dollar piercings on the weekend. Im coming here from now on for all my piercings and tattoos.

I recently went in for my first tattoo. I brought in a wolf design, which was complex. By good fortune, I was introduced to Joel who has done multiple animal tattoos. He genuinely loves his work, and it shows in his art. My tattoo looks great! Ive gotten complements left and right!! I definitely will go back to see him. 10/10

Went with a friend to watch a tattoo. They tell you the music is "to fit the environment in which clients and artists are most comfortable in", but its really just an ear piercing pain to sit through. Friend got work done with Liz-- she was rude before/after and didnt talk in between. Would not recommend this shop.

Whoever said that Empyrean tattoo shop has rude staff, they are incredibly wrong. These people are awesome, hilarious, and very talented, from the artists to the receptionist. If they were rude to u...which i doubt...then ur ass probably deserved it and dont know how to act in a business setting....

I saw Liz back in October while visiting the area from Baton Rouge, LA. She did an adorable little Toothless the dragon around my ankle for me and I had a great time. The facility was clean and beautiful, the staff was awesome, and I officially have to go to Atlanta for tattoos now. Cant wait! Lol!
