The Dayton mall had been around for a number of years, so it has definitely stood the test of time. However, it has some bumps and bruises to show for it. My wife and I went to the mall to grab a quick present for a friend, and nothing quickly noted some unsavory characters who were lurking around. One was even kneeling down behind a vending machine staring at the shoppers passing by. It should be noted there were a few men doing the same at odd ends of the building, while a huddle of security guards goofed off together down the hallway. A final thing that seemed incredibly unusual were these little robotic animals on wheels that little kids can rent for the day. They are somewhat fast and take up a good amount of room. The kids who drive these around are usually poorly supervised. Aside from the dodging the creepy dudes and the stamped of unruly, animal-driving children (bad combo), there is a good selection of stores at this location. Enter at your own risk. Bring steel toed shoes and carry your firearm if you have your license.

Ive been visiting the Dayton Mall for well over 20 years and Ive watched it go from being THE PLACE to shop to struggling to get people in the doors. It all started when they let the movie theater be built away from the mall. Since then theres not been any real attraction to get families to come to the mall and it has slowly been dying ever since. Once upon a time that halls and shops would be packed with shoppers no matter what time of year it was, now you can wander the halls and never come even remotely close to bumping into someone. Yes there are still great prices to be had for really nice clothes and Sears has some great prices on appliances, but that doesnt seem to be enough to get the people out of Walmart and Target and into the Mall! Unless they can come up with some sort of attraction to get families to want to come to the mall, it is going to continue to dry up and die like the Salem Mall and Fairfield Commons and that is going to be a real shame!

We shopped at childrens place for the kids school clothes. They were having a 50% off sale we wanted to take advantage of. At checkout I was hesitant about purchasing all the items in my bag because of the budget we were on. The young lady that helped us gave an additional discount so that I was able to purchase all the items I had picked out for my kids. We will certainly be doing all of our kids shopping there. I dont expect to get that kind of discount Everytime but the fact that she was willing to do that this time to help a mom in need definitely earned my respect and loyalty as a customer!!!

The Dayton Mall has always been one of my favorite places to shop, browse, hang out with friends, and even just to sit and relax and observe all that goes on around you! The interior is probably due for a remodel, but the property owners do a decent job of keeping the place clean. There are some extra, newer shops outdoors across the parking lot too. Unfortunately crime has been on the increase at the mall and in the south Dayton area, so just be aware of your surroundings. Overall this is a great mall and I will definitely continue shopping here in the future!

The Dayton mall is a pretty dreary mall with oddball stores mixed in with good stores. You have a Macys and Sears as the main anchors. Both those stores are mediocre at best. Theres a Dicks which is a pretty good store as far as having things in stock, etc. The rest of the stores are just clinging on. The food court upstairs is very depressing and could use a clean up. Unfortunately, for a better mall experience, Id head up to Fairfield commons, although its not much better. We always drive to Kenwood down in Cincy for a true mall experience.

My main store in the Dayton Mall is T&M Perfumes. Im a very busy person I like to smell good and look good so Joe at T&M not only takes the time to get to know his customers but he remembers what they buy and what they like. He even takes the time help me find the smell Im searching for, and they have the best prices and deals. He works to make all his customers happy. He helps me smell like a million dollars with out spending a million dollars.

Large suburban mall with all major chain stores in or located in close area strip center shopping zones. Big box stores multiple chain restaurants and smaller independent restaurants and bars also close by. Lots of free parking and whole area close to interstate 75 and 675 highways. Traffic can be bad in whole area depending time of day and season. If you cannot find it in this area it is a true hard to find item.

Its a great place to bring kids to walk around on a rainy day. The indoor playground is a great place for a little one to run, but be wary if it is crowded as the grade school kids dont watch out for toddlers. The food court is clean with plenty of seating (I recommend the Japanese spot if youre feeding a crowd: they have a "double meat" option for their chicken special that can feed 2-3 people for $9)

Its a fun place to hang out with a great variety of stores. But, walking down the halls, you feel like youre being hunted by Indian salesmen. Theyre unrelenting. If you dont have a backbone, theyll hold you there for at least 15 minutes trying to get you to buy something. Just duck your head and act like youre on your phone, or wait for them to stop someone else, then pass. Theyre sneaky little rats.

Has much to choose from both inside the mall, and outside in the community areas. With many different types of stores youre probably going to find what you were looking for and then some. Parking is available and public restrooms are easily accessible and clean. General traffic in the area can be a cluster at times. There are many restaurants to choose from as well as a couple religious stores.

Worst mall in Dayton. If you are able to I would either go to the Greene or Fairfield Commons instead. The biggest reason is because the food area has roaches. The people who visit this location arent as nice or friendly as they are at other malls. The good news is that there are a lot of great stores and restaurants outside of this Mall.

The Dayton Mall has really expanded over the years. The fact that they have both Ulta and Sephora locations is impressive. Youll find everything from niche art stores to book stores to your standard mall fare of Bath & Body, Express, Macys and the like. The coffee and smoothie stands serve delicious, unique and quality flavors.

I like it a lot overall! There a cute little train that parents can take their kids on to ride around the mall. Pretty nice food court upstairs. Escalators and elevator. However, several of the places to buy food were staffed by only one person, so it was a little slower. Nice selection for sure though! I enjoyed it overall.

Still a vibrant location to shop. Vast majority of store fronts are occupied which many malls do not have. Macys is an anchor with other popular smaller stores. Hard to know how long JC Pennys will be around. Mall is clean and kept up in terms of appearance. Wish some stores would advertise hours and stick to them.
