Very awful experience. Went in during the holiday season to sell my 1 year old 500 gb xbox one, Fallout 4, Elder scrolls online, battlefront, Assassins Creed syndicate, and all the cables, I left my controllers at home so that I could play on a friends xbox in the future. Remember that bit. I arrived at the store with a buddy of mine and we wait in line to be helped by an employee who tells me I will get $100 less than what I could be recieving because I didnt bring the controllers. I didnt really want to go get them because it was rush hour and traffic was horrid, but she insisted I would be doing myself a $100 injustice if I didnt bring them with me to sell. "If I go and get these controllers Ill get $100 more?" "Absolutely." "Youre sure?" "Im positive haha I work here." She tells me that while Im gone she will go through my stuff to have a price estimate by the time I return. Heres where the Exchanges poor customer service comes into play. I return a half hour later to find out she clocked out and left work soon after I left to get my controllers, and none of my stuff had been touched yet. So I wait in line, finally Im helped and the employee hooks up my system to see if it works, which is fine, but he makes me wait there for A WHOLE HOUR AS HE PLAYS STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. He clearly either wanted to avoid the business, as I said it was rush hour and people were getting off work, or he just wanted to play video games. Finally he turns to me and tells me he wont give me more than $130 for all of it. My buddy bursts out laughing. No more than $130 for a 500 gb xbox one, Fallout 4, Elder scrolls online, Assassins Creed syndicate, Battlefront, and two controllers. You know, those controllers they insisted I retrieved to get $100 more for my trade. So if my controllers are worth $100, is my Xbox and all the games worth $30 then or what? Why did I sit in traffic for that? So then I attempt to explain to the man how thats a fairly unreasonable offer, and the employee earlier told me I would be getting much more than $130, and he blatantly interrupts me to tell me that "hes been selling games for 10 years and he knows what hes talking about unlike me or the other employees there." On my life Im not exaggerating. So I try again, "look buddy Im only selling this to be able to afford some gifts for my family for Christmas, I came here first because I shop here all the time, Im sure I can get a better offer somewhere else" to which he responds condescendingly with a smirk, "oh really, where would that be?" like I was born yesterday, to which I reply "surely I can get a better offer on Craigslist, its almost Christmas and people are trying to buy xboxs." To which an employee who isnt even involved in this transaction leaves his customer to come say "Did you see the sign outside? This isnt Craigslist." So at that point my buddy is cracking up at how hard they are blatantly trying to walk all over me, and I just want to leave. The bag I brought all my stuff in before I went and got my controllers was in my car, so I say to the employee "is it okay if I leave this stuff here so I can go get my bag out of my car real quick?" To which he says no and that I have to remove me stuff immediately. Seeing as how he JUST NOW had my stuff there in that exact spot for a whole freaking hour while he played my game, I didnt think an extra 3 minutes would do any harm, but I guess thats just me. So my buddy and I carry the stuff with our hands through the crowd of people in the store and leave. Now, I know Im not the brightest, but I know when Im being ripped off, and I especially know when Im being talked to disrespectfully for no reason. Ive been buying all my movies, video games, and music from the exchange for years now, but now Im not stepping foot in there unless its to sell them something I have no need for and take their money, and that goes for all my friends and family too after hearing about my experience. Absolutely disgraceful business.

Well, it used to be a great store. Every time I would go in there no matter how many customers there were someone always walked by and asked "help you find anything?" Now.... not so much, Ive been in the store 3 times in the last 4 months, and each time I leave without buying anything. This last experience was the topper for me. Went in, someone standing by the door said hello( so far so good) found what I was looking for, was standing by a case, and the guy next to me was asked directly " anything I can help you with sir" he said no and the 2 employees take off in the other direction before I can ask for help. They come back by a couple minutes later after Ive looked around a bit and am standing in the same spot at the same case, they just say "excuse me sir" and walked right on by, after that I checked iTunes for the cost of the album I was looking for and searched a couple more albums standing in the same spot, NOTHING! I slowly walked to the door, NOTHING, no one said a word to me as the 6 employees congregated behind the register, the 3 or 4 that are walking around helping the maybe 2 other customers in the store. So for the 3rd and final time I walked out of the store saying to myself " they just let money walk out the door". I know, I kinda wonder myself if Im expecting too much from employees of a store whos only jobs are unlock cases for paying customers and putting away alphabetized movies, games, and CDs

Changed. I have known this place for a long time at least 4 years. It has changed so much during all those years. Changed for the better? Relative. Changed for the worse? Relative again. This place has meet my needs ober the years when I need a game (retro), or albums. The Exchange has a wide selection. Is it all easy to find, since all the changing not really. It must be a new building because 6 months ago it was completley different, i remeber the door being on the right side not left. The prices for The Exchange are decent. They really are. You cant expect to get this stuff cheaper and not ripped off. You can do returns here. They could be cheaper, but your supporting a business thats been there for a long time. And again return protection. The selction is pretty big from games to music to shows. Box sets are available. Game systems are availble. Fantastic. I love being here because its simply fantastic. Easy place to get lost and have a good time with friends. Discussing music, talking about movies you glance at here. Buying and viewing. It really is a fun place to be for 30+ minutes. Fun workers fun place.

Bought a used Wii and a few games for my wife for Valentines Day. Played Mario Kart for a couple of months and it worked great until we bought a newer game for which the Wii would need a system update to play. At that point we found out that the Wii had been hacked and modded by the previous owner. I called the exchange and asked if it was possible to exchange the defective unit for a new one and was told that since it was past 30 days they couldnt do anything. Buyer beware that these systems are NOT TESTED PROPERLY. I did some research and found out just how easy it is to test for this on a Wii and knew within seconds that the system was hacked. I informed the sales person of this who was happy to be informed there was a test for such things. As a result, Im am now stuck with a locked Wii that is useless (it gets locked by Nintendo when trying to update a hacked system) and will make sure no one I know ever buys from The Exchange again, since the only thing I exchanged was my money for frustration and poor customer service.
