I chose Wedding Plantation as a lower cost alternative to Mens Warehouse for my sons Prom tuxedo. The entire interaction lacked any real level of customer care, from start to finish, and I wouldnt really be able to recommend them at this time. I first arrived with my son and we were not greeted for 5 minutes (I should have left there, but we were short on time). When I did find someone, they didnt apologize for the wait, but instead immediately asked me for my personal information and CC number, which they were going to write down on an order sheet for anyone to see should it have been left on a desk. I let them know I would not be giving them my CC number. Wedding Plantation doesnt have much inventory in-house, so you are forced to look through a catalog to decide what you want to rent, which is a bit clunky. There was a lady who was in training that began taking my sons measurements, and had to keep getting reassured by her trainer that the measurement she took was correct (this would come back to haunt us). Once the order/sizing process was complete, they advised me that the tux would be ready for pickup 1-3 days prior to the prom date. Industry standard is that you usually have your tux a full business day in advance of your event to allow for sizing issues, etc. You are also NOT guaranteed that what you ordered is what will be delivered, which I thought was strange. You need to pick a back-up everything in case what you want is not available. And you dont find this out until it is way too late. His prom was a Friday, and we were advised the Tuesday prior (I had to call in, they did not call me as they promised) that the color my son chose would not be available. Tux was still not ready. Finally I called the day prior at 230pm(Thursday) since I hadnt heard anything from them, and they notified me the tux STILL was not available, but they were just waiting on a few remaining parts to be delivered via UPS. Finally, I got a call that the tux was available for pickup, which left me 3 hours to pick up the tux. Since my son works, he wasnt able to try it on in that short period of time. When he finally did try the tux on the night prior to prom, there were many sizing issues. The coat was much too long in the waist but too short in the sleeves. The shirt was too long in the sleeves. Oh, and we realized they gave us the wrong shirt altogether, not the shirt we paid extra for. I looked at the sizes they took the day my son was fitted, and most didnt match the sizes that the rental company used--very confused what happened there, and there was NO explanation from the ladies at WP. So, the day of prom, my son has to drive back to this place and they rigged up the correct style shirt which looked like it didnt fit. They made NO apology whatsoever, and made us feel that we were to blame because WE couldnt try it on within the 3 HOURS they gave us. This entire time, I am trying to reassure my son that everything was going to be fine, so he could worry about more important matters. After prom we took the tux back and I requested they refund us the portion of the shirt payment since clearly we got the wrong shirt. They said they would, but that was 2 weeks ago and I have yet to see the refund. Long story short - you get what you pay for. Buyer Beware--do not leave your childs important event to chance with this company, you will most likely be disappointed. I really would have loved to give a good review, and I gave them the chance to make things right with a refund, but the rude and incompetent staff at Wedding Plantations clearly would like to be doing something else with their time and not helping their customers with a positive experience. Read their review responses--they continue to demonstrate no accountability, and continue to not address the poor service.

I definitely do not recommend going here if you are a bride shopping for a wedding dress. I had the worst appointment and left there feeling very discouraged on the entire wedding gown shopping experience. I was directed into my changing room which had gaps in the curtain so others could see me change- not the biggest deal because we were all women in there. They didnt have a special bra and under-skirt for me to use while trying on gowns like other places had so not only was I exposed to a stranger in my bra and underwear in my changing room, but it made it difficult for dresses too slide on and off because they were touching my bare skin which I felt was kind of gross (but dont worry I showered before my appointment). My consultant didnt appear to have deodorant on while wearing a spaghetti strap dress so every time she lifted a dress over my head, I had to hold my breath. She didnt seem to know anything about the dresses when we asked questions and didnt offer one single suggestion as to a color of dress, veil with a dress, how to bustle, which style looked good on my figure, or where to even stand when looking for the mirror. I lead the whole appointment and picked my own dresses which was very odd and uncomfortable to me. She informed me that she had clips if a dress was too big, but when I tried on a dress that was way too big, she didnt clip it and told me she thought it felt tight so I walked out in it and couldnt even get a real idea for the look of it because it wasnt clipped to fit me. Then when a dress was going to be tighter, she put it over my shoulders and then didnt try to pull it down saying that it was too small. This may have been the case but I feel like she didnt even try, and furthermore she didnt make any suggestions on a similar dress or offer any way for me to see what this dress would look like on me and it was my favorite one! She seemed like she didnt want me there and didnt want to continue with my appointment so in effort to relieve her from the inconvenience of my appointment, I just said I didnt need to try anything else on and got dressed. I feel so bad that my mom drove 2.5 hours to go to that appointment with me and Im dreading actually going wedding dress shopping again because of this experience.

The staff very friendly, however I bought a dress off the rack because the dress I bought wasnt to my standards ....The seamstress there tried to make me feel like she done me a favor when in fact she was over charging me I paid 220 to get my mothers dress altered...I did this for my mother because she wanted that dress but I knew she was over charging me. Also when my mother got the dress she did not do the hem of the dress and refuse to refund me.. When I approached the situation I knew the work wasnt dont but she through the material on the floor as if that proves she did the work never apologized just poor customer service. The seamstress could have just said I was overwhelmed this and I may have over looked the hem. instead she was offended the I realized she didnt do the work. we are human and we make mistakes. the next day the staff called me to refund me fifty dollars. I bought the tux. had my mothers dress altered and I bought a wedding dress I deserved better treatment bottom line. My wedding dress still had the pins in it where she did not do the work I paid for.. favor my ass. I spent at least $2500 not even an apology...also the dress I bought was dirty and needed some repair from ppl trying it on.. I think I done them a favor for buying the dress that no one else including myself would have bought under different circumstances. I dont think I will never go back and I am a Wedding Planner CEO Signature Events. I will never recommend the company.
