Broken games and consoles, poor customer service. Ive probably spent at least 4 or $500 here on games and movies. 2 of the movies I bought were broken, as was a ps3 and a ps3 game. I traded my Wii U in for a broken ps3, and they told me after the fact they only had cheap O wired controllers. They sell the wireless and dish out cheap knock off accessories with their consoles. I returned the ps3 and they gave me another one with half the Gigs and only gave me 5 dollars in store credit, which of course I had to supplement with more of my own money to use. Then I got the new Ps3 home and skyrim didnt work. Upon returning it and getting store credit again I picked out two items in the store I did not want because they didnt have another copy. It came to $1.03 more than the credit and I had to pressure the clerk to let it slide, he said he would do me that favor this time but not next time. Well their certainly wont be a next time. The co owner told me last week the business was struggling. Its no wonder when this is how they treat loyal customers and they sell broken merchandise.

Recently my Sega Saturn broke. I went in to buy a replacement, and upon getting it home, I found that the controller with the console was broken, and the console was glued shut. Glued. Shut. There were no screws holding it together, and part of the LED had been melted. Not only this, but they were selling a fake Pokemon Emerald copy (they are fairly easy to tell by the label), and when I pointed this out, they simply wrote it off to a "replacement label." When I went to return the console, I was not able to get a refund, but only my money back in store credit (which is just swell considering that all of their games in the store are marked up well over market value). In summation, they are selling some counterfeit games, abysmal consoles and controllers that are not functional, and if you do purchase something that is faulty, you are forced to still give them your money, one way or another. Not worth it, and honestly there are FAR better stores in the city with lower prices.

One day, I came into the store on a whim and found out they offer disc buffing services. I spent five dollars and resurrected a $90 game that Id been holding onto for years. Two years later, I keep coming back. In that time, the store and its owner have done a great deal to remain competitive, and also to cater to the needs of the people that come in. I once made a comment about how difficult the sales stickers were to take off, and the owner took it to heart by finding stickers that didnt require scraping to take off. The staff are also very friendly, and will go out of their way to try and help you find what youre looking for - if they dont have something in stock, theyll go the extra mile to see what kinds of alternatives exist. UGA Games is my first stop shop for anything I might need, and I look forward to seeing how much better the store becomes in the next two years.

Limited selection, overpriced everything, and they buy used equipment at a fraction of the price other competitors pay. Dont waste your time. Not to mention, if you call in and ask for an estimate of how much they will give for certain items, they will tell you one thing on the phone and it will change by time you get to the store. Response to owner: nothing was in poor condition. The guy didnt even check two of the controllers (that had never been used). System had no nicks, no scratches. Quote on the phone: "$20 cash for dreamcast and $6.00 per controller". I bring in a dreamcast, three games, three controllers, a wii fit plus, and the game. Offer? $20.00. the best part is... while I was in the store, the guy said, "that was the trade-in credit price". But, his response on here is to a different tune. Took it up the street and got $45 at "Play It" on sawmill parkway

If this was the only store in Columbus, itd be adequate for giving people a place to buy new and old games. However, there are better stores with lower prices and a more personable staff at other locations (looking at you, Warp Zone). Prices are usually higher than other retail locations, with no adjustments made for games in poor condition. Only seen two employees working here, the taller guy with shorter brown hair is genuinely interested in helping you and recommending games or just chatting in general. The guy with long black hair is obviously either bored or not interested in his job. Other than when hes taking your money he avoids conversation at all costs. Also, they sell a lot of aftermarket products thats are in general unreliable. If youre looking for video games in Columbus, there are better options.

love this store, no idea why there are some crazy reviews. I decided to head down there contrary to the 3 or so that warned aginst it...SO GLAD I DID! great prices.... they understand the value of games, so some of the older classics are a little pricey but good luck finding them anywhere else for cheaper! great selection, friendly staff and very helpful and well informed people. I would recommend stopping by and making your own judgment! id been an avid game stop shopper for years, not any more. they beat the prices and have all the same benefits, along with a huge retro selection! now I guess they sell card and board games now. ill be ing to get my copy of munchkin and catan!! good luck UGA!

Nobody in my household will set foot in a competitors store without checking with these guys first! Weve always had a good experience in here! Levi usually gives a really honest opinion whether I am asking for myself, my fiance or my two teenage boys. The customer service here is top notch as well. One time Levi even found a game we were looking for and gotten it in the store the same day we asked for it! You couldnt ask for better service than that! The only time Ive ever been disappointed was when he couldnt find a Pip Boy for me, but hey, that was next to impossible for anybody at the time and I wasnt willing to shell out hundreds of dollars for it! ;-)

Never had a bad experience. Everything Ive ever bought has been in fantastic condition. If anything were to be in poor condition, or not work, they have established that they would replace it immediately. If you have special requests for something you need they can almost always get it for you, we walked in wanting a PS4, they didnt have one in stock, so the owner called his distributor and got us an Uncharted edition PS4 for the same price as the normal one (open box new without the game) Would highly reccomend

Nothing but great experiences here. This place has some good prices on Retro games and even better ones on more recent generations. The place sometimes get some amazing inventory of games (A copy of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, for example) and merchandise I havent seen any place else. I would recommend to check this place out and definitely bring any old games and systems you want to sell/trade in, they will certainly treat you with respect and give you a good price for your stuff.
