Well let me start by saying Im a traveler so it so hard to set appointments. This was saturday 4-22 and i leave monday 4-24. I wanted a piece on my chest ( large flying dragon ) refreshed and made better. So after googling and deciding on defining skin Columbus. I called and left message because they arent open yet . Then decided to go at 1130am and wait til they did open. But long story short I walked in and of course as I had already figured place was booked but Parker took the time to see what I needed. Although he was booked and everyone else for that matter he took my info and said hed try to help me out. Low and behold 2 hours later which I really didnt expect i get a call from Parker saying come on down man I had a no show. Last part of story everyone was saying Parker was the Dragon fixer up guy . Well let me tell you Parker IS the Dragon fixer up guy.. Amazing job i couldnt have been happier with the outcome. Guy is great he is personable and just all around awesome guy. I will be scheduling my trips to return to have other pieces reworked and refreshed with him... But let me add one more thing the whole entire shop is just the place to be they are all the greatest group from their attitude to the stories ha but wont get into that you need to experience that for yourself ...simply put if I chose a group of people to hang with they would be too of my list.... Sorry for the long post but lot to say about this great shop. Thanks again Parker see you soon

I first discovered Defining Skin Tattoo through Instagram while trying to find shops in Columbus. The work I saw on their page was immaculate and the people seemed like they would be really nice. I was fortunate enough to get paired up with Kam to do my first thigh piece. When I met him for the first time he was very friendly and I found it easy to ask him questions and talk to him about the piece. It was amazing to watch him work, and slowly see the tattoo come to life on my skin. I now have both of my thighs done and he was the one to do both. Everyone who sees the pieces on my legs stops to ask me who did them. I always highly recommend Kam, but I assure them that anyone they get in the shop will do an amazing job. I have had the pleasure of meeting with almost every artist in both locations and all of them are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Both shops have wonderful atmospheres and they always have plenty of each artists work to look through while you wait. Thanks to Kam and the rest of the team, I will continue taking my business exclusively to Defining Skin Tattoo.

My fiance and I chose Defining Skin because of its reputation and stellar reviews, and we were not disappointed. This was my first tattoo, and Mat Franklin was phenomenal. We had general ideas of what we were looking for, but I needed help bringing it all together. We consulted with Mat for about 2 minutes and he already had awesome direction in mind. Actually getting the tattoo done was a great experience as well. Really fun, laid back atmosphere in the shop between artists. Was also blown away how quickly Mat worked (not rushed). My piece had a lot of fine lines/details and it came out so clean and crisp. If I get more work done in Columbus I wont go anywhere else.

Myself, my sister, and my mom came in for tattoos this past week, and we honestly could not be happier now. We got in for appointments with Mat because he had a cancelation, so we feel really lucky. Mat was so wonderful to work with--he understood exactly what each of us wanted and was so kind and funny to each of us. The tattoo he gave me is honestly better than I could have ever expected, and I know my sister and mom agree. It was such an amazing experience, and Im already plotting how Ill travel back to Ohio from Montana to visit Mat again for another one in the future! Great vibes from Defining Skin. I would highly recommend.

Great Studio! I got my first tattoo at the defining skin downtown! The atmosphere is good and the artist really give you the feeling of being in good hands. The tattoo was done extremly well and good into the smallest detail. I can highly recommend that studio! Our artist was Zac who did a phenomenal job. Also the booking was really good and fast, I only had two weeks before I left again for Germany and wanted to get it done before that. Zac is doing a really good job and is also really spontaneous with his appointments. My experience at Defining Skin Downtown was really great!

This a wonderful tattoo place, very industrial looking. Clean and the staff is wonderful and gifted. I had a large arm piece done by Mat that is absolutely gorgeous. He is a very gifted artist with a a background in illustrative and contemporary art. On top of all this they are very reasonably priced. If you are into ink this the place to go. I drove 120 miles to see Mat and it was well worth the drive.

Parker Hannah is a great tattoo artist he did this autism puzzle with my sons name into it who has autism hes wonderful and hes doing another tattoo coming up soon on my stomach i cant wait to see his great work on that soon and all the workers and atmosphere is great here i love it ADDED 2ND TATTOO PARKER DID ON MY STOMACH RECENTLY AFTER THE ONE ON MY NECK HES A GREAT ARTIST

Super awesome shop!! Love the camaraderie of the artists and the always positive vibes of both artists and clients. The modern industrial feel of the space is a great change of pace from traditional tattoo shops. Defining Skin is a great place for tattoo connoisseurs of all kinds, from first timers to tattoo veterans. I would highly recommend any of the very talented artists!

BEST SHOP IN COLUMBUS PERIOD. Mike and his staff are beyond talented artist, they are open friendly and welcoming. Mike has helped bring new life to the area, great central location. Amazing, clean shop. Completely chill atmosphere and super comfortable...spent the whole day here getting a six hour piece from Kam (my 2nd tattoo from him at this shop). Piece is amazing, people and shop were great, overall very happy with my experience at Defining Skin. The guy spelled my daughters name wrong, and then he threw in a free mermaid BC my daughters name is Ariel and he put an a instead of an E so he put a mermaid in for free to make the a look like an e and it ended up looking like its spelled Arieal... So im hoping to find a place to fix it for cheap..

Went today for my first tattoo, it was on my back and self drawn, my artist was Mat and he did an amazing job modifying my design. It was a little painful but Mat was amazing and did a great job talking me through it. The cost was very reasonable and the quality is unmatched! Recommend to everyone!
