Extremely disappointing visit on December 22nd, 2014... I tried to purchase a "Gift Membership" for my father yesterday at the Polaris location and was denied by multiple associates due to "company policy." Apparently you must be a member already to purchase a "gift membership" for someone else. Unfortunately, I am not a member, therefore, I could not even purchase a membership for someone else. Its truly a baffling experience in my honest opinion to deny a potential future customer in such a way. Especially, when you consider that Costco profits are closely related to the membership fees they charge. I tried to check store policies online before entering the store in case this situation were to arise, but I must have missed it. My plan was to give this membership to my father as a Christmas gift and as an incentive that he could start eating a healthier diet without paying Specialty Store prices. However after yesterdays experience, I think I will recommend him to continue to shop at Luckys Market and Andersons even if they are further away and cost marginally more. Other observations: Positives: Very clean store, and nice exterior Negatives: Terrible traffic congestion and entry/exit layout (Due to Holidays possibly)

Poor customer service. We were looking for a DSi and had called the store a day before, the person we talked to told us that besides the regular accessories that come with it, we also get two free downloads. We went to the store and nobody was willing to give us any information on the free downloads; every one kept saying, they didnt know. To top it off, the manager was obnoxious: he said "give me the name of the person you talked to in electronics"... How the heck am I supposed to know who I talked to, moreover if I knew you guys would renege on your offer, I would definitely have asked the person his name, nay, I would simply have not shopped at your store... ever! Heres what the manager had to add: "Theres only person working in the electronics department today and she doesnt know anything about the downloads and you dont expect me to call the 9 other people work in electronics at their homes." How shameful!! I think Costco should pack up and leave...

We have shopped at Costco for many years and at this Costco since the day it opened. I dont know what Customer Service could do to be more accommodating. Other than electronics where they limit the return time, they will take back anything you bought at any Costco, no questions asked, no matter how long ago you bought it and no matter the condition! They used to do it for the electronics as well but had to change the policy because of total abuse by some members. We love Costco and my wife is such a fan, she makes me stop at any we pass when we are traveling! We too eat at the food court and get a huge and delicious Polish sausage and a drink for only $3 for both of us. Typical of Costcos great deals.

I got a membership to Costco this Spring. So far Im pretty happy I did. I think its fun going there and just walking around, eating the different samples they have set out in the aisles. The costco house brand products (Kirkland) are as high a quality or better than name brand things they carry. I think the thing I like the most about Costco is their return policy. The return policy is very, very forgiving. You can open a product, use it for months, decide you dont like it and return it. I suppose one can abuse this if they wish, but I just like knowing that if something is broken or I dont like it, I can return it without a lot of hassle. Good store, worth the cost of the membership.

After ten years of been a Costco Member, I Cancelled it, Customer Service Reps are so incompetent, if I were the Store Manager I would send them back to training, and to add insult to injury, when I reported the lack of service to John K the Staff Manager, he started to lecture me about what I need to do next time I am at the counter. He never listened or knowledge if the Counter Reps were totally out of line in dealing with me. Never will spend my money at COSTCO AGAIN. Ps. if you are a member of a minority ethnic group Costco Staff at this location will shadow you in every aisle, in case you are trying to get away with a fifty gallon of mayonnaise...

Terrible Customer Service. I am a new member and went to Costco today for the first time. I was told to contact the customer service first. I met a young guy in a polo shirt with glasses at the customer service. This guy was very inpatient and rude. I asked him about getting an American Express card for Costco. He did not provide any info but inpatiently asked us to go online and find it ourselves. His tone and attitude were extremely rude. This is the worst service I ever had. It is the first time for me to have this membership and will be my last time. What is the point? Save a couple of dollars but got treated terribly?

First off Ive had nothing but amazing experiences with the customer service here. All the employees are really helpful and always are super friendly. Ive never had a rude clerk. The prices are good on most things. Like everywhere you have to watch but for the most part I definitely save enough to justify my membership fee. I buy a lot of groceries and other stuff there. I was really pleased with the optical department. The optician was very thorough. The store is very clean and laid out very similarly to Sams Club. Overall I much prefer shopping here than Sams and will be letting my Sams Club membership expire soon.

I usually stop by this Costco once a week to fill up on gas and pick up some bulk food items. They have very friendly employees. The lines can get a bit long on the weekends, but overall the place is clean and every week theyll surprise you with some unique temporary merchandise. One thing I would recommend: go to their refrigerated produce room and try the hydroponically grown *LIVE* Boston Lettuce. It stays fresh for weeks, so you can take leaves off of it a little at a time for sandwiches, etc. I actually got compliments about this lettuce at Thanksgiving dinner.

I will be a Costco member for life, I had an issue with my chest freezer, I had just bought a good number of frozen items and they were ruined within 3 days of buying them. I called, explained my situation and asked for a discount with my receipt for the same items - they were nothing but courteous and understanding. Kudos to COSTCO! And how can you ever beat the pricing for cake... if you need to feed the masses here where you go to get a cake forget the others like Walmart, Meijer or others!

This is NOT a family oriented store! We live 2 miles from Costco. On a busy Sunday I sent my 16 year old to pick up some basics from Costco. He was told that he wasnt allowed to use my membership card but that they would let it go this time. Later I called the store and was told that he could be added to the membership for an additional $55. Really!!! A $55 charge for a dependent from the same household address! Costco is certainly not interested in the convenience of its customers.
