The transaction I required should have been the most painless for them. I purchased my item online and did a store pickup. It was an iPad and when we got to the store, my daughter decided that she wanted to have a keyboard case to go along with it. We were approached by the "apple" guy at Best Buy and I said we were looking for keyboard cases for the new iPads. He motioned to where I was looking and stated I would need Bluetooth and went through the whole sales pitch. I listened, and having an iPad Air I just got from Best Buy this past Black Friday with the same accessory, i just needed to know where they moved them. I asked them if this was all they had and he said yes, did I need a particular one and I said, honestly I just purchased one a few months ago and it was under $60, did they have something in that range since its for my daughter and 75% of their stock was over $100 for a case that we were looking at. He just said, well this is what we carry, showed me one for $75 and walked away. So we took the $75 one, went to the counter and requested our pickup item. The girl rang up my case, grabbed my iPad, gave me my receipt and walked away. I asked if I could have a bag. It really wasnt her fault, you could tell she was really mad that she was ringing up everyone as the other girl that was to be checking people out was standing at the exit podium flirting/chatting with the exit guy, so he too wasnt doing his job. Best of all, there appeared to be two managers watching this happen, not calling her over to help the guests in line or jump in themselves. Frankly, there isnt a cheap item in Best Buy, so for what the customers are willing to pay for the items they sell, you would think the employees would be encouraged to be a little more customer friendly whether its a $75 case or a $1,000 tv. Oh and best of all, got home and said $75 case I got for my daughter for her new iPad doesnt fit the new model like he said so I get to go back tomorrow and deal with them all over again.

Did not follow threw as promise I was in the 1375 Polaris Pkwy Columbus, OH 43240 on 12-26-2010 to have my son’s Xbox exchange again. We have been dealing with Best Buy on his Xbox since they first came out and yes we did buy the 2 year Best Buy warranty. It seem like every 12 to 18 months we were back in due to some kind problem. Each time in the past we were able to get a new Xbox and we would buy a new 2 year Best Buy warranty even though the last warranty had 6 to 12 months left. On 12-26-2010 when we went in with the same problem they said that we have to have it sent out and most likely get a refurbish one. They told me that they had a new policy. I told them that we were not told that when we bought the new warranty. They said that was not their fault and that we got the Xbox from the 3840 Morse Rd HG Plaza Columbus, OH 43219 store and to take that up with them. I don’t know about anyone else but I thought all Best Buy were one. When they sell you the 2year Best Buy Warranty, they tell you one of the great thing about buying it is, if something go wrong with it they will give you a new one or one of the same amount if they don’t have the same thing in stock. We have spent over $250.00 in warranties over the last 4 years for an item that cost $299.99 I did ask for the store manager and she said that she was the store manager. I also asked if there was anyone above her and she no and gave me the number to corp. 1-888-bestbuy, the number she gave me was not corp. but just their customer service department. I also called back to find out that there is someone above her; Mr. D. GM of the store. So beware Best Buy MAY NOT BE THE BEST BUY!!

*** Update: I will say that despite all that follows being true this is one of the better Best Buys in Columbus and the few competent BB employees Ive dealt with have been here.... *** I like the new design. The manufacturer mini stores are beginning to get annoying. Both the mini store employees and general staff try to sell you on things far too much. Its impossible to just look and seek assistance as needed. Then when you need help its difficult to find some one anywhere but cell phones or computers. Finally, the most frustrating part, once you ask questions it becomes apparent that most of the staff arent knowledgeable about the products at all. Theyre just spewing canned sales pitches. I know tech, and frequently their responses quickly and strongly indicate that they do not! But they never let that stop them they just throw the same stupid pitches at everyone assuming that you know nothing and will believe their "expert advise". Occasionally, a rep will admit they dont know, which I can respect, but still does nothing to help address my concern/question... The least they could do is read up on and be knowledgeable about the products on display and the info on the cards displayed in front of them smh. Only one guy in the computer section actually knew his stuff and didnt try to sell me whatever he could by any means necessary.

Was on my way to the Sprint store to upgrade my cell phone. I figured I would stop by Best Buy to see if they had any good deals. The sales guy told me they didnt have a lot of deals for the IPhones then, so I told him I was going to go to Sprint because they have the Lease One/Get One promotion. He told me to wait and went and talked to his manager. When he came back he said, "Yeah, we can do that same deal too." So, an hour and a half later, after everything was signed and the service was switched over, I asked him for something that shows the bill credit I will receive for the second IPhone. He looked confused, and went to try and "find something" to give me. When he returned, he informed me there was a mix and they did not have the Lease One/Get One deal. So had I not asked for something, they would have let me walk out, and by the time I got my bill and noticed I did not get a credit it would have been too late for me to do anything. The sales guy was really rude and got an attitude when I was visible upset. I would NEVER buy a cell phone from Best Buy. They will literally lie to you to get you to sign a contract.

Very bad customer service, my wife bought a Bose home theater system and Bose is offering free Sound Touch Adaptor with Home theater purchase. Best buy didnt gave when she first got for the first time. After we unpacked the box we realized that we didnt get the free Adaptor. She went back to the best buy next day , a tall guy was suppose to help my wife instead he was rude at my wife and was arguing that they are not offering free adaptor unlike website shows the offer. My wife requested to take control of the computer mouse so that she can show the offer on the website, the tall guy was angrily and rudely slided the mouse at my wife. Another lady representative came and he left and started talking to her instead of attending my wife as if he is neglecting to provide services. My wife wanted to talk to the manager but she was in rush. Another representative came and helped my wife and gave the Adaptor. That tall guy didnt even care to say sorry for the bad service. She was very disappointed and her day got upset with this kind of ignorant service. common best buy Polaris please improve your customer service.
