I purchased my Ford F-150 from Liberty ford in 2012. In February of 2016 I had a horrifying experience while driving my vehicle. I was traveling north on the highway at about 70 MPH, when my drivetrain essentially locked up and downshifted my vehicle to the lowest gear. This caused my vehicle to fishtail driving me into the center guardrail and almost causing a severe accident. Of course this was rush hour traffic and I was amidst a bunch of traffic. Very Scary. I was able to limp my vehicle over to the side of the road. Immediately contacted Liberty and explained what happened and took it in for an evaluation. Tom was my contact in service and they said it was some type of wire bundle that went faulty. So they performed a fix on my vehicle and I even spoke with Eric the service manager about the situation. He didnt even offer me a discount or anything based on the experience. I was pretty shook up and they honestly made me feel like they didnt care. So I took my lumps and went home. In June of 2016 I received a recall letter from Ford outlining the exact circumstance with my vehicle that I had experienced......a hard downshift which was dangerous. They wanted to do a mod etc. So when I called Tom he stated that what I had done to my vehicle in February was not consistent with what the recall was for. Now mind you my vehicle never locked up after the fix they performed. So being frustrated with whole process I let it ride. I also received another letter in September. I had also noticed after the incident that I would sometimes get a pause in my drivetrain. Not all of the time and it was difficult to replicate. So of course dealing with these guys it wears you down and Im a contractor in the heat of my busy season...so how much can you fight the system. So in January of 2017 the pause is getting worse and people are actually commenting on it. So I take it in with my recall letters and explain the entire situation to Tom again. He says...."Well yes this recall is for the work we performed on your truck"....I said thats great wheres my $1000.00 bucks back and I want you guys to look at my truck and what its been doing because I felt the hard downshift had affected my drivetrain. So then Tom says....." sorry but the reimbursement has expired as of December"....then some snarky lady gets involved in the conversation, service manager or whatever. She might as well had a mop in her hand thats how useful she was. Condescending towards me. Wish she was in the vehicle with me when it happened she wouldve crapped her pants. So of COURSE.....they look at my truck and theres nothing wrong with it they say. I drove it off the lot and I had not even turned the corner and it did the same thing I was telling them about. Frustrating. So now I call Matt Devore the GM and voice my concerns....he even complimented me on not blasting him like most customers in my situation would have. Im not unreasonable. Well Matt turned out to be pretty useless and I chased him down for a good week, he wouldnt answer my calls. So I stopped in personally. A little deer in the headlights look when he realized who I was, he assured me hed get back to me. A week later....NADA....no call nothing. So I call again and hes like..."Oh I turned it over to my service manager Eric. See the temporal loop that Im in here? So Eric calls and says he spoke with Ford, put in a case, denied. So you think in this case he would call me the customer first and ask me what my concerns were. Customer service 101 right? Of course at this point Ford has denied the Case so Ive put it back into the dealership and Matts hands. Ive heard nothing back from them as of today. Moral of the story: So you can buy a good vehicle and have poor service....and you still have a poor vehicle OR vice versa good service and a poor vehicle...AND you still have a poor vehicle. As of now, Im waiting to see what Liberty Ford does at this point to keep me a Ford customer. My truck still needs to be fixed....Ill keep you posted!!

I recently bought a Ford Fusion from Liberty Ford in Brunswick. The dealership is competitive in base pricing when compared to other dealerships. Brandon was the salesman I spoke to regarding the vehicle. I first looked at a new fusion then reconsidered a used car. On my first visit I looked at a new Fusion. I wasnt decided so I wanted to think about a major purchase I was about to do. I was very clear I didnt want recieve notices by email and texts until I contacted them. Within the hour I recieved a notice by email and text by Brandon and the used car manager thanking me for coming in. If this doest matter to you then it will not be bothersome but this annoyed me especially after I requested not to be called until I decided what I was going to do. On my next visit I looked at a 2015 Fusion. I liked the car overall. To avoid making this review too lengthy I will give specifics i experienced. Be aware there is a $700 charge in addition to the price that the dealership adds for warrenty details. The reason I state this is because if you dont buy it Ford will not cover paint and other items per Liberty Ford. I checked with other people who bought from other dealerships after my purchase and they said there wasnt this charge added. Worth checking into. The only other issue I have is Brandon said the additional warrenty given after the 36000 mile warrenty is expired was bumper to bumper and then changed when I was in the finance office discussing warrenty plans. The warrenty is limited only. The positives of my experience is finance did a great job and a dent was fixed professionally. The dealersip is clean and updated. I am very happy with the car. The Fusion is very safe and a recent Mercury Milan I had was totaled in a head on crash. I trust the car to save my life and passengers in the event of a crash. Thanks and hope this review helps you.

After we got our income tax return this year, we knew we needed to buy a car. I spent days searching through sites like Auto Trader. Thats where I first noticed an 06 Ford Five Hundred. I looked at it more than once off their website. Bookmarked it but kept coming back to it because it seemed like such a great deal at under $4000. Yesterday I noticed they dropped the price yet again, so we headed down from Lorain to Brunswick. I called before leaving to assure availability. I spoke with a woman named Julie who was pleasant. She assured the car was available and would be out front waiting for a test drive with a fresh tank of gas. When I arrived, we were created by Julie and our sales man Laurence. Walking out to see the vehicle, we were very happy. The images on the website were very accurate. We were aware the car needed some cosmetic work, but we expected that from a 10 year old vehicle and a lower price. We test drove the vehicle and were happy with how it ran. So we bought it right away. Didnt even consider another vehicle. Our sales man was wonderful. We explained that we just wanted to pay cash for it and had X amount of dollars, which was close to their asking price. He talked with management and they ultimately sold it to us just slightly over the amount we said we had, which I might add was about $2000 under blue book value. We walked out feeling completely confidant in our purchase and our very happy we choose Liberty Ford. Anything that may go wrong with the vehicle, isnt on Liberty Ford. They sold us this vehicle as is and we were fully aware it wasnt under warranty. This is the risk you take when buying used and older. We definitely recommend Liberty Ford.
