Peggy Mason
This is not Peggy Mason. It is Ralph Mason. I took a week to write this review because I wanted to digest all of the experience, and try to be fair and objective. I will break this out into separate segments: 1.Sales Experience: John Richardson is a good salesman. That is obvious. He was transparent and even bought me lunch. What he did not do is provide me a list of optional equipment on the CMax, or show me how to operate the car and the equipment. I figured that out day by day. He kind of low balled me on the value of my trade when he indicated he could only offer Auction value because of the mileage. He indicated you would not try to sell the car at your location. He actually did test drive my trade, a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid with 104k miles on the odometer. 2. Finance Manager: After we finished his portion of the transaction, I went to the Finance Mgr. Also a nice, professional guy. He convinced me the extended warranty I purchased was a good deal and was bumper to bumper coverage. I have now read the contract. It is not bumper to bumper. It is only mechanical and does not include the Hybrids Lithium Ion Battery. There are warranties available that do cover the Hybrid Lithium Ion Battery. My Sonata Hybrid had such an extended warranty. I am now not covered for the on e part I most need the coverage for.The Finance Mgr. told me the trade in was so good.(It really was) that you were going to sell it at the lot across the street that you also own. No doubt for more than you allowed me on the trade in. 3. Certified used car: Rear seat passengers heard a slight drive line nois at the rear. When I looked, I found all four rotors were deeply gouged and very worn. If I could see this, how die the Inspector doing the Certification inspection not see it? I am a shade tree mechanic and have replaced many brake pads in the past. What had to happen here is the prior owner drove this car very hard, wore out the pads and kept driving so the calipers severely scored the rotors. I brought the car in and service did machine the rotors. They said the pads had 8/32 on the front and 9/32 on the back. That supports my premise that new pads were put on damaged rotors were not changed, probably because wherever the repair was done, the shop would have wanted to replace the rotors, too. I really think Lakeland Ford should have replaced the rotors, too. I have been on the net. This car has no maintenance history. With 21800 miles on the odometer when it came to you, it clearly would have needed a new Cabin Air Filter. It probably also needed a new engine air filter. A Certified, low mileage car should not need anything. Now, I am going to have to pay for things you should have replaced before Certifying this car. My advice to prospective Certified Used Car Buyers is to carefully inspect the car before buying. My advice to Lakeland Ford is to be careful to not let this happen to anyone else. Ralph Mason

Lynda I purchased a 2012 Sentra w/ less than 50,000 miles from Lakeland Automall, it wasnt even 3M in before I started calling the salesman John Sanders Difilippo about somethings I had been experiencing. 1st off i had a very bad experience during the sale process because for whatever reason they did not want to take my pre-approval letter w/o me having to give them some kind of money up front in which I did not have to, he kept coming back in the room w/ information from his Manager that just didnt add up,did not make sense at all. I was upset at that fact they inconvenienced me, wasted my time, & transportation so I had to leave w/o a car. I called Corporate & advised of the situation in which even they did not understand, they advised that the letter included everything they needed. The next day I received a voice mail from their Finance Dept asking if I could come back in. He/John apologized, said it wasnt up to him,he was just doing what he was told, if it was up to him he would have accepted the letter,he was sorry about what had happened, etc. But I had already figured out the stunt they were trying to pull. After the purchase was finally over, John ASSURED me that the car still had a Manufactured Warranty on it 50,000 miles & 36 Bumper to Bumper was ALL he said. & if I had ANY problems w/ the car to just call him. When I finally got a hold of him about this particular issue he told me I needed to take the car to the Nissan Dealership & they could fix it for me at no charge since I was still covered under the Manufactured Warranty & still less than 50,000 miles & to tell them he referred me because he knew 1 of the Managers there. Once I arrived the Service Manager told me I had NO bumper to bumper & the Manufactured Warranty DOES NOT cover everything, its 5yrs/60K (Powertrain Warranty) only so any issue that doesnt fall under that I would be responsible for the diagnostic and the repair. I took it to Advance to see what they could find as to why my car was driving only 5mph on the road, he said, the sensor read (Electronic Throttle Actuator) & thats what I advised Nissan, but they still had to do their own diagnostic & it came back as the same Thank God. This turned out to be a $900.00 job. So shoppers please be careful when you hear a salesperson tell you,you still have a Manufacture Warranty on a car because it DOES NOT COVER JUST ANYTHING. My salesman gave me misinformation & neglect of information & made it no longer his problem, if it sounds to good to be true its probably not true;however this was just my personal experience w/ Lakeland Automall to each is own.

I was repeatedly told that I was purchasing a Certified Used Mustang throughout the buying process including two salesman telling me directly that this was a certified used car, and showing me two Kelly Blue Book Values that included the VIN number of the vehicle and directly stated "Certified Pre Owned". In addition, the salesman went over all of the benefits that this car came with including the 12 month 12,000 bumper to bumper (which is one of the benefits of certified pre owned). Once the deal was made and I began signing paperwork, I was told by the finance manager that this car was just a USED car and not a Certified Pre Owned vehicle. When I called the salesmen into the office to ask them about this issue, both salesmen decided to go back on their word and deny ever telling me that this car was a certified. They basically claimed that I was an idiot and did not know that an aftermarket exhaust would prevent this car from being certified (another thing that they claimed to have told me numerous times which was NEVER even brought up or mentioned). I will say, my experience with Ralph, the finance manager was almost entirely a pleasant one. He was able to make an adjustment to the price to match the one that was agreed upon with the salesman (not sure why it was different to begin with but that problem was resolved), he found me a great rate and manageable monthly payments. The only issue I had here was that I told him I had an extra tag at home that is from my other car and was replaced by a custom plate. I never even thought to bring this to the dealer because I was told before that I could not use this tag ever again, although when I told Ralph about this extra tag and how I got it, he told me to send him a picture and we could use it no issues, only to find out that this is not the case (I already was told this once, I just wish he hadnt gotten my hopes up). When talking on the phone, in his defense, he claimed that he did not know this couldnt be used either, no harm done here and I would love to deal with Ralph again. If it wasnt for this dealership having the exact car I wanted, I would have walked away numerous times.
