I find the staff friendly and helpful. But there are too few of them to be ideal. That isnt their fault however and Im patient. The prices tend to be better than most places in BG and the selection is better to boot. The stock of fish is what I look at mostly and it is there that I have issues at times. Never buy any type of cardinal or classic neon fish here. They die within a matter of days, no matter how perfectly you manage your tanks water. Ignore the labels saying to put groups of fish together. If you know your fish, or bother to Google most things youll know what to mix and match and in what quantity. Also, inspect the fish very very carefully. Look for Ick, some of the tanks inevitably have it. Glow Lights are almost always healthy and Ive never had issues with those. Aside from that, the tank decorations are in good supply. Ive not heard anything bad about the groomers and living in BG its hard not to know about that kind of thing if a place has a bad reputation.

Don’t bother going here unless you are desperate. They have cancelled my Sunday appointments three times. I stopped making appointments for Sunday and that seemed to work. Two weeks ago a booked another Saturday appointment. They were fully booked until this date. Today I brought in my dog and there were three females and 4 dogs all in the grooming area being groomed. I was informed that their computers when down a week ago and they lost all the appointments. They decided to book more appointments OVER the ones they had booked but lost allowing the customers to show up only to inform them that they couldn’t be helped. I was also asked to provide my vet records again. Needless to say I did not and left. I refuse to go back here. Professionalism and computer back up is simple.

I LOVE that they feature animals in need of adoption! Amazing amazing amazing of them. Enjoy the variety of items, and friendly staff. Do not so much enjoy the elevated prices. Lets make it a little more fair for citizens to purchase their pets needs and higher quality items for their beloved pets than other non-pet oriented chains offer, please? Medicine, quality feed, etc are hard to obtain in relatively fair price ranges, so why not advocate for change starting with Petco? Id definitely shop their for my pets needs far more if prices could drop a bit.

Ive been to this store three times and found no cashier at the front to finish my purchase. The last time i submitted a complaint and received a call from someone named Mallory. The tone in her voice clearly indicated that she did not care about my poor experience and while she offered some coupons i am not looking for free or discounted anything. I just want good, fast service and apparently you can not find that at this petco. Hire more people or keep them on task or your competition will.

This store definitely needs a clip at the cashier station so customers can attach their dogs leash. I was trying to hold my dogs leash, unload items and pay when I dropped my dogs leash and she headed for the door. Since the out door of this store opens automatically she ran right out. Fortunately I was quick enough to grab her but this is a disaster waiting to happen. How hard can it be to put a clip at the checkout(like Petsmart has) so the pet can be secured while checking out?

About a week ago, I bought a female Syrian hamster. I took her home and noticed that she was oddly shaped. I took her back to make sure she was not a boy, pregnant, or something else. They observed her for two days and said she was a healthy female hamster. Well, today while I was handling her, i noticed she has a penis and testicles. She is definantly a he. He is wonderful. Just be careful when getting an animal from them, I know I didnt want hamster babies.

In store staff is amazing and super friendly. The grooming department on the other hand is snotty and rude. If I wanted to deal with that kind of attitude I would have stayed home with my teenage daughter. Not professional AT ALL! I have had multiple issues with them. I will NEVER go back again, and I HIGHLY suggest not going to the grooming department. DO NOT GO TO THE GROOMING DEPARTMENT IF YOU VALUE YOUR DOGS SAFETY!

I used to love this place! They always have deals going on and a friendly staff. However, the last two times Ive taken my dog in to get a "quick" shear, it has taken almost FOUR HOURS each time. My dog comes home shaking and has diarrhea for at least two or three days. Ive never experienced this with any other groomer weve been to. I can guarantee, I will NEVER be returning.

Went to get some new fish at about 8:30 tonight and after looking around a good 15-20 minutes, I left. The only employee I saw was sitting In the office behind registers waiting to lock the door I guess. Had great service during the afternoon on Friday so I guess its what time of day you go... inconsistent!

I have been going to this store for years and the staff in the story has always been very helpful. There are days when I cant find someone to help me with fish but they are always willing to help when I ask.
