Good store. Fruits and veggies can be pricey and sub-standard to what youd find at HT. Pre-cut produce consistently feels $2 overpriced. That being said, the store is pretty great. Despite what I just said about produce, you can find brussels (which arent really even my thing) on the vine (is that what they grow on?... maybe its a branch?), or huge pomegranates at the right time of year for $2.50? The meat counter is where its at. Ive eaten the majority of things in it and have a few recommendations: 1. Get the bacon. If you cant get Neeses bacon at the HT down the street towards WB, get the bacon here. Theyll push you towards the applewood smoked. Its good but the pepper bacon is amazing. The steaks are all good. I dont think you get your moneys worth for the $30 filets. The $20 filets probably taste the exact same. Also, if youre crazy like me and want different parts of beef ground so you can make custom burgers, theyll do that for you. They cant mix the meat but they can grind them separately. The semi-prepared meats are good. Basically the dredged chicken stuff -- in pistachios, or panko, or whatever. Theyre all good eats. The fish is good too, but being so near the beach, Id try this place after Motts Channel. Unless you want a fish they dont catch around here. The breads are great. Highlights are the herb rolls, and the real baguettes. If you ever saw the episode of Shark Tank where the folks were pitching edible raw cookie dough -- they sell that stuff. Its good for about three buys and then youre over it. Worth a try though. In general I like their pre-prepared salads. They like to put carrots and stuff in caesar salads from time to time, so be on the lookout for that nonsense. But otherwise, theyre pretty tasty. They have a fruit and nut salad there that I particularly enjoy. Oh, and the best reason to go there is for the fresh ground almond butter. Accept no substitutes! All of the nuts and snacks are fine but I dont buy them much. Their coffee selection can be a bit old (check the sell-by date on the bottom) and the coffee in the big bins is trash (by virtue of how its stored). You can get good coffee there but you need to know what youre doing. Last but not least, the place does a good job of making you feel classy. They also seem to retain their employees. Thats usually a sign that things are being run right.

The bathroom here was very nice. I very much enjoyed pooping to the classical music that they provide. There were however a few places that made my experience less than enjoyable. There is only one stall. Which made it very awkward when another man came in and stood waiting for me to finish. I tried to regain my solace by saying to him through the closed door "it maybe a minute" he replied "thats okay I can wait". Which at this point made it worse since if I left immediately he would see through my ploy. I waited several silent minutes and then left starring at the floor as to avoid eye contact. Overall though it was a great restroom and I would recommend. The toilet paper could also be improved. I give it an 8/10 would poo here again

Like another reviewer stated, this grocery store "IS a whole different world than Jacksonville." Fresh Market is the only grocery food chain that Ive been able to come across hard to come by products such as creme fraiche or truffle butter. Their produce, olive bar, deli, meat department, bakery, coffee, candy, and floral departments are impressive. It is a superior shopping experience compared to the Food Lions and Piggly Wigglys of Jacksonville, and the Harris Teeters and Lowes Food grocery stores in the surrounding areas. Although it is expensive, the quality of the food in unmatched. And if you watch a lot of Foodtv like me, and like to cook, THIS is the grocer that you go to for those hard to find items.

Im not from the area, but when I can make the trip to Wilmington I LOVE THE FRESH MARKET! Ive heard complaints on other sites about price, but with the high-end food and freshness, what could one expect? It has deliciously prepared food with a meat and desert deli. Try one of their baked potatoes! Theyre to die for! They have delicious prepared sandwiches, along with rotisserie chicken, ribs, anything you can think of! Im a fan of their yogurt covered pretzels. Its a great atmosphere, with very nice people. I love going to this grocery store, its just a whole different world than Jacksonville.
