This place is terrible. I bought brownie mix which was out of date. Nothing is priced. Got a bottle of wine which was not priced and they send some kid to do a price check. Ive bought it there before and I tried to tell the lady the price, which was 11.99 and she proceeded to charge me 13.99. I dont think she cold speak English . I will not go back.

Friendly staff, though somewhat limited selection of food and other essentials.. If your picky about brands, this may not be the place for you... Try Food Lion close to the bridge... If you are flexible with what you need, this place is fine... Close to the beach... fair prices....

The Sea Merchant is the mom and pop grocery from days gone by. Every one is kind and helpful . prices are fair and the location is perfect for the beach . They have about whatever you could need including shells and toys. The meat and produce is always fresh .

They have everything, lots of beer and wine, too. Not overpriced, some local produce as well. For example, 12-pack of Coca-cola was only $3.50 (and its easily almost twice that regular price at Food Lion or Harris Teeter.)

Yarrow Carmichael-Rice

This is a small mom-and-pop place thats been there forever. Its a piece of Carolina Beach that old timers prefer and tourists find novel. Good for a quick drop in but not where most would do weekly grocery lists.

With pricing between a convenience store and a big box supermarket, this for store has a good selection of the staples with fast and friendly service. Great for running in and getting a few quick things.
