This mall has gone downhill over the years. It has become a place for thugs to hang out. Do not go in this place at night, it isnt safe. I sure as hell will never go here at night anymore. As for the stores, they are very blah. There isnt very much variaty between the stores. There are too many hip hop clothing stores, as if we dont have enough. I do not see why we cannot have something like a spencers or a hot topic at least. There is one "skateboard store", pacsun, but it is WAY too expensive. The only store I really go to in that mall now is Best Buy sometimes, or JC Penneys, which has really gone downhill since they changed their format. Im thinking Ill just drive down 64 to do some serious shopping where my view is a little less hip hop. Oversized shirts, gold chains and baggy pants and nikes just arent my styles.....

Ive seen better through the years of Golden East Crossing. The Cobb family owns the building and the lease is extremely high for it to have low rated security. The majority of the stores left the mall because of high lease payments and the amount of crime that comes to the mall. If the Cobb family would decrease their lease payments by a good margin and hire some real cops to man the mall I believe things would be a lot better and stores will start coming back to the mall. That mall have security thats out of shape, heavy set, and can barely run. They are sloppy looking with their clothes hanging out on one side (no pride in the uniform) and that makes it worst.

Going downhill FAST! Good place to walk to get out of the heat, especially if you need new walking shoes because THAT is about all that you will find in this mall. There is a Bell and JC Pennys, and Dunhams. Other than that, Iffy jewelry stores and Athletic wear stores. The Food court has even gone downhill. Great place to try to get EVP readings if your a ghost hunter because soon it will be a ghost town! I hope the director in charge of the city planning can see this post and prove me wrong soon.

This was the most disgusting mall I have ever been to. There are virtually zero decent stores in there, and what they DO have is all the same, and not what I would look for anyway. There are about 5 shoe store, but they all carry the same stock. The only marginally acceptable store was Belks, but it was still messy, with unhelpful staff and hardly any cosmetics. Save your time and money and go to Raleigh. Worth the drive.

Clean. Friendly & helpful employees. Okay prices. Not many people shop here because they go to Walmart in town or they go to Raleigh if they can afford it. Limited plus size options, not just in this mall but in Rocky Mount in general. The irony is most of the townspeople need extended sizes. WE NEED MORE STORES!!

The picture on the location pretty much says it all...a police cruiser and van out front. This mall is in steady decline, the crowd was rowdy, loud, and profane when I was last there. If you are going to one of the anchors, like Belk, best to go directly into the store from the lot and skip the rest of the mall.

Sorry mall, I do my shopping online because does not offer a wide selection of anything. Vacant stores, poor selection, high prices to not have good selections. Nothing exciting. Go to other malls and come back to golden east is like Rocky Mount is not living just existing. Step your game up golden east

The interior of the mall could use some updating. There is ample parking and security is usually patrolling inside, which is nice. It could use more nice chain stores. There are quite a bit of local stores which do not sell things I am interested in.

Nice place to shop has a lot of stores and pirceing. Food court and I love to visit the sporting goods store thire. However safety at mall is a factor to keep in mind. The mall has had robbery and some other security problems in the past.

This mall has some good stores but the overall feeling is that it is a dying mall. I usually park at and shop in the anchor stores and rarely shop the interior. There are still lots of empty store fronts.

Its not the best mall by far, but it does cater to every genre of people. Urban(hip hop), skaters, golfers, and the mature. Golden East could offer more than just a place for the adolescents to hang out.

This mall used to have many great stores, now everything has closed down and the mall seems to be a popular place for teens to hang out in. The mall is dirty and sparse with stores. I do not recommend it

This mall has loads of potential, but were still losing stores. They still have Books a Million, a sporting goods store, Bath & Body Works, Bed Bath and Beyond, and more.

The best thing about this mall is Ruffinos! Stop in for the best cheesesteak in town.
