I went into Ulta today thinking I was going to buy tarte shape tape concealer and some beauty blenders, I even asked a women working there if she would help me find them. After I figured I had everything I needed, I grabbed my wallet, opened it up and saw my debit card wasnt there and I must have left it at home so I just put what I had in my hand back in its place. Now even though I did not have my card I still wanted to take pictures of what I needed and even proceeded to tell the sales associates what a stupid thing I had done by leaving my money at home, but I still wanted their help in finding products that suited me so I could snag a picture of them. Now during this process, when I no long had items in my hand I noticed there were quite a few eyes on me and I even saw a lady pass my aisle, go down the one beside me, and come back out past me. Once I asked a women to help me figure out a setting powder I could use and she called another women to help me. The women that helped me asked about my purse. She said it was really cute, where did I get it, and did it have pockets on the back or in the inside. That wasnt too strange until before I could sit down, another associate came up to me and recited the exact same line only to add, "I wish I could see the inside to see if it has a little change pocket bc its so cute". Now in that moment I want to completely empty out the contents of my purse on the floor and swipe everything on the shelfs to the floor. Im not sure if I LOOKED like I would steal considering I was the only women of color shopping there, and the 2 ladies who decided to ask about my purse were women of women color, but if your employees suspect someone stealing, just straight up ask them to come to the back. It pissed me off so much to have these women smile in my faces, telling me things, when really they thought I was stealing. I will NEVER go back to this location again.

Salon is horrible and customer service is horrible. The salon will literally take 3 hours just to trim and dry your hair. They will make you sit on a chair with wet hair while they attend to another customer and then make that customer sit with wet hair while they dry yours. The lady that dyed my hair made her own formulas and i ended up with 3 different colors in my hair. I went back 2 weeks later to get it redone for free and was there 6 hours. She dumped hair dye remover in my hair and it dripped down all over my face into my eyes. The color still didnt come out how i wanted, definitely did not leave a tip. The cashiers are all rude and snappy. I was returning makeup for making me break out and even tho they told me the makeup was gentle the cashier snapped back saying just because it says parabeen free doesnt mean its good for your skin and told me to do my reading for good acne prone skin makeup and then laughed at me for using soap to clean my makeup brushes. Instead of helping me he/she just made me feel stupid for not knowing what to use on my skin. Thats why Im there asking about products, not there to feel laughed at or that its my fault for makeup making me break out. Even tho one of there employees suggested that makeup to me to begin with. I honestly will never shop there again because of the service and attitudes there. And i will never go to that salon again even if it was for a free service. Absolutely horrible experiences every time i been there.

Horrible service and treatment. Employees act like they are annoyed that customers are in their space. I was looking at a foundation and no one was around to help, and I saw little bottles at the station, so I filled a tested for myself. 30 seconds later and employee came out of nowhere barking and asking me who gave me permission for a sample. I said that no one was around to help me. She said that the bottles were only for Lancome products and asked if mine was, and I said yes. Then she said "ok" and started bustling around and "cleaning" her station and ignoring me when I was trying to talk to her about the product. I said I had it in another shade that is too pink. Arrogantly she says, "Yes, thats because its a cool shade" and as she was saying that, she looks at the display that clearly says "neutral" and then corrects herself as if thats what she meant to say. The interaction went downhill from there and I am really not sure why I bothered to continue to talk to her. I think its because she made me feel like a scolded child who did something wrong and I felt the need to prove that I was actually interested in the product and not trying to steal samples. I shouldnt feel that way, especially when Im spending $50 on a luxury/high-end foundation.

If I wanted the quality of great clips, I could have just gone there and saved some money... I went in yesterday to update my hairstyle. Its been a few months since Ive bleached or toned my hair so I decided to update my color some. I asked her to update my ombré to a nice ash blonde, just to get the yellow out. I already had a pretty distinct ombré. I also needed a trim. After spending 3.5 hours and around $200 I left mortified. My usual shoulder length long-bob is now way above my shoulders and CRAZY uneven! My hair is white, right up until you get to my roots. There are distinct lines around my head where my original hair color meets this new color. This is not anything close to what I would call an ombré. I look like Ive let my roots grow out for too long... or that Im fresh out of the great clips. This is not anywhere close to the quality of service I was expecting out of Ulta. Ive been a loyal customer to Ulta for years. Ive been in quite a few times just for a quick trim to my usual hair cut. But yesterday I was mortified. I wouldnt recommend to anyone to even step foot in the Ulta salon.

I have to agree with everyone saying terrible customer service... I went about a week ago to find a new foundation and asked a consultant for help. I told her that I suffered from acne and melasma (she didnt even know what melasma was - if youre a skin care consultant, shouldnt you know these things?)... to match the foundation to my skin she ended up harshly wiping off half of the makeup I had already applied and then scrutinized my face and told me my skin was "just terrible." She asked me what my skin care routine was - I told her that I had suffered from acne since I was 12 (I am now 34) and have tried everything under the sun and its just something I have to deal with... again, she replied with "thats just terrible." So not only did I have to sit there and re-cover all the spots she had exposed when she wiped off half of my makeup but I left the store just feeling terrible about myself. I will never ask one of their consultants for help ever again. They need to hire people who have some tact and who know at least a little bit about skin and skin conditions.
