The very best used bookstore in Raleigh. The staff is knowledgeable about their inventory (which is vast), and very happy to answer questions or recommend books (when asked), but if youre just browsing they are respectful and dont hover. The shop staff refrains from open chit-chat with customers, which is GREAT, b/c frankly I dont want to hear it while Im trying to browse, and frankly I dont want to share my reading list or broadcast my opinions to the entire store. Their discretion is very professional. Best however, are their books, which are generally in VG to Near Fine condition and priced right. They buy-back at fair prices (I usually take the store credit which is more generous) and what they are unable to buy back due to subject matter or condition, they place on the donation shelves - sales from these shelves go to support WUNC radio. All-in-all-this is an extremely well-run operation that caters to true bibliophiles and readers.

I like going to this store for date day with my fiance. They always have good vinyls to choose from. The prices are reasonable too. I can normally find a good book or two to buy as well although they dont normally have the exact book I am looking for. The parking lot is always a joy to maneuver but it is kind of cool they have a rear entrance. When I go in the employees are normally playing good music although they dont always have for sale what they play. It is a small spot so I guess they can only fit so much. Something to note is they actually have books on CD which I love for road trips - again though the selection is not the greatest.

Incredible hole in the wall for the avid reader or the person looking for a way to kill some time. Theres records (old and newer) and books on every topic. The new features might run you several dollars, but most books are a couple bucks. The shelves are stocked with good reads and something for literally anyone. If youre looking for a cheap hobby, look no further.

Great prices but kinda unorganized. Its a very dark store that looks like a book and records garage sale. Books thrown everywhere. Great staff though n good music.
