So... One day I woke up and told my wife "I Want a Motorcycle". I went and took my test and got my permit. I started shopping for a bike. I knew that I wanted a Sport Bike, preferably a Suzuki GXR or a Yamaha. I was looking around for a 600 or 750. I soon found out that they were way out of my price range. I knew i couldnt afford a cruiser because I would want a Harley. I started calling every place I could in my area. All I got near me was, no, no, no. Then I found Kevin Powell Motorsports. I was looking at their inventory and found a 2003 Yamaha FZ1. Not wanting to run my credit again I called and asked about it. This is where I spoke with Mrs. Dena. She was Excited and wanted to help. She assured me that she would be able to help get me on that bike. Well when I finally came up with the down payment my wife and I drove for two hours from Maxton to Pineville. I called when I got close, Dena told me to go to the finance company first to sign the paperwork. When I got done there we went to KP Moto. Dena met me at the door bright eyed and bushy tailed, just as exited as ever, I believe she was more exited than I was. After the paperwork and mandatory mumbo jumbo. I got to see my bike, I noticed a screw missing and Dena had one of the Techs look at it and corrected it promptly. Well at this point the bike was very intimidating due to the fact that I never ridden a streetbike. And it was one of the largest bikes I have ever been near and on. So I attempted to ride it and it wasnt going very well. This is where I was losing confidence by the second. Dena then noticed that the Clutch Lever was broken where the previous owner had dropped it. Well I was disappointed at that point because I wasnt doing to well with it. Well Dena has an FZ9 and recently had her levers changed and had her old ones, which was very helpful because the shop didnt have one in stock. Well Tommy went and watched Jason put it on and noticed that the clutch needed to be adjusted. Well that made me feel a little better. My wife and I went to eat because we havent eaten all day and it gave me time to calm down and the adjustments made to the bike. When I returned to KP Moto I was reluctant to find that the old lever from Denas bike fit perfectly. So I attempted again and had no issues. Dena was there the entire time being my own personal cheerleader and coach. I went in not knowing anything about street bikes and left on a FZ1. If I am to ever buy another bike I will check the inventory at KP Moto in Pineville before anything else because I know that no matter what Dena has my back and is and will be willing to help me until the end. Thanks Dena you have been the very best and i will be more than happy to purchase any and all bikes from you no matter which one you are working at.

Disgusted! STAY AWAY! Brought in a brand new Honda Sabre to Service due to an accident. We had the bike less than a week and it got sideswiped by another driver and laid down. The other drivers insurance advised us to take the bike to the nearest dealer. We weren’t too thrilled about that, as we weren’t sure of this dealer’s reputation for decent service. When we brought the bike into them, we told the story of just purchasing the bike and that it had to go to them for insurance reasons. Long story short, there was a fairly long delay in ordering the replacement parts, not feeling good about the time it had been sitting or their answers regarding some of the replacements, I called and said I would be coming by to look at some of the parts to be replaced to make sure the assessment was in-line and accurate. What I found was our $10K motorcycle that went from the Showroom to the Garage for less than a week to sitting outside in the rain for 11 days!! More than half of that time we had been having thunderstorms. The bike was already rusted!! There was an accumulated dirt film layer than would be almost impossible to wash off without risk of scratching the paint job. It still had a temporary license on it, showing that is was a new bike! We asked the GM to return our call regarding this matter and was never contacted back. Completely ignored! Hello!! No one cared! What one fender that would be remaining on the bike, had some sort of liquid spill on it that could not be rubbed out; ultimately damaging that surface. It was returned it to us more damaged than when we brought it to them in the first place! We have taken the bike back into our possession, but the damage is already done. This is the second horrible experience we have had with a Honda dealership in less than a month! I am now seeing the value of owning a Harley Davidson and going to a Harley Davidson dealership solely! At least the ones I have been too wouldn’t even consider placing someone’s bike outside, they are all clean and covered! But mostly they take pride in their service and customers. If you take pride in your motorcycle and don’t want to lose money on your investment. You are duly warned! Find a Honda dealer that will give you the service you and your bike deserve, cause this place ain’t it!! Very Regretful!

From the time i walked in till the time i left i recieved WONDERFUL customer service. I am height challenged, so of course finding a good bike that would accommodate my size was nearly impossible, i was bummed out and upset thinking i would never be able to have a bike that i will fit on, until the awesome Dave (black guy) showed me a BEAUTIFUL ninja 300 that could be lowered to fit my height perfectly! And its my favorite color :D Dave was super nice to me and i felt like he wanted me to leave happy amd feel good about my purchase. He went though alot to get me this bike and it is much appreciated. He stayed with me throughout the whole process even though they were slam packed the whole time, and he even stayed after they closed to help me finish up with everything. Also want to say thank you to Jason Pinger who also stayed after they closed to help me do paperwork and he explained every detail of each page to me perfectly. He, as well as the whole staff (i got a little help from everyone) was so unbelieveably nice and just wanting to make the customer happy no matter what it took. I will most certainly be returning to this location when and if i decide to get another bike and i highly recommend and encourage everyone to go to this pineville location. Thanks so much to everyone there for being so helpful! Yall are the BOMBBBBBB. UPDATE: went back in yesterday to get my tag for my bike (i was 2 weeks late to get it, i know....shame on me) but as soon as i walked in guess who was up front!?!?!?!?!? BLACK DAVE YOU GUYS! the SAME guy that helped me before. I was beyond happy to chat with him again. He got my plate super fast and asked about the bike and how i was doing on it. (Pretty good but the neighbors get pissed cause its super loud) Wonderful experience both times i have gone! Black Dave you da BOMB son!
