Thank goodness for Intrex Computers and their techie geeks (meant in a good way). I get so fed up with the Best Buy and CompUSA experience (i.e. a salesperson pointing you to a shelf and giving you a big ignorant smile). CompUSA and Circuit City have gone out of business anyway (surprise, surprise). The guys at Intrex know exactly what they are doing. Heck, their prices are very close to on-line pricing as well, which makes it more than worthwhile to buy local. You can buy computer parts or have them custom build a system for you; they can also repair pretty much any computer or laptop. I have been using Intrex for almost 15 years now. I went to Intrex on Wake Forest Rd. when I lived in Raleigh and I go to both Greensboro stores, but mostly to the Hornaday location (literally 1 exit and 2 blocks from where I live).

I was taken aback in the quality of service I received from this store. I built a computer a few months back using their recommended parts. I get to the house with the parts and discover some of the parts werent compatible with my system design so I went back to return the unneeded parts the next day and lo and behold I get charged restocking fees on the parts they said i needed that wasnt compatible with the system I was building. Do your homework before taking their advice because they will be happy to sell you stuff and even happier to hit you with restocking fees. I give them 2 stars because you can find what you need there but in my personal experince the quality of service sucked.

Terrible experience! I went into the Hornaday location in Greensboro with a simple, straightforward question and was treated in a terse, disinterested, dismissive manner. I shrugged it off and asked my question differently which only seemed to further annoy the person at the register with whom I was speaking. At that point I announced my intent to never return to this or any other Intrex store and left. I was nice about it, but was not going to stand for such poor service. Intrex - train your people or get rid of those who dont possess basic customer service skills... you are not the only game in town!

So glad I accidentally happened across this location. I have some basic computer knowledge but nothing in depth. I bought a gaming tower from Craigslist and these guys helped me choose everything I needed for it to be optimal. I asked a lot of questions and they answered all of them, including showing me how to install the parts myself rather than attempting to make me bring it in. I am so happy I didnt have to deal with geek squad or big store prices. They also have a military discount. I will be back.

Very straight forward, incredibly fast repair. These guys are completely professional, give you a clear idea of what to expect price-wise and repair-wise. I decided to try them out after reading several excellent reviews of them on reddit, and having experienced how great they are I wont be going anywhere else for computer-related issues. Cant praise their service enough, and I have definitely recommended them to all of my friends.

told us it was one price, face to face and on the phone. once we got there, it was double the price. Took them almost two weeks to fix the desktop, due to them writing down the wrong information for us. Once we contacted them, they told us what was wrong and they fixed it in a matter of 10 minutes but charged us 80$ for it. Very poor customer service. We will never ever ever use this place again.

Meh, you have to always do do your homework no matter where you go. I have bought many items, big and small, cheap and expensive over the years. They are largely close to what you can get on-line price-wise, so the convenience you cant beat. I build all my own computers, so its handy that when something fails, theyre going to be there. Over-all, I recommend them for your local support.

These guys really seem to know what they are doing, they were very knowledgeable overall, and were very helpful in finding the part I was looking for, I plan to go back when I need something. The one thing I did not like was the restocking fee, but I guess businesses do need a way to recoup a bit when something cant be sold as new any more.

Today I was exceptionally wowd! My MB replacement from ASUS isnt working, they offered to test it for me and even had a spare Power Switch laying around - turns out the power switch was part of the problem; the other half was when the MB caught fire. :-/ This wasnt a product from Intrex, it was purchased directly through New Egg.

I went into Intrex today like I always do and needed to upgrade my computer and each time I walk in the door I was greeted with a friendly and knowledgeable staff and of course they had what I need for a price that I could not get anywhere else….. So thanks Intrex for making my life a little bit easier

Been going here for a while off and on. They are helpful for anything, always fix issues and call you when its finished for pickup with reasonable prices for issues that I would pull my hair out trying to fix. Good computer parts in store with cables as well. Cant thank them enough for all theyve done.

Go in one time, they offer you a price, then when you go in again, they try to double it. Cant comment on the quality of their work, but can comment that either one hand doesnt know what the other is doing, or they pull bait-and-switch tactics.

This store has horrible customer service. No one there willing to help out with brand new equipment we purchased to upgrade our computer. Wasnt willing to test memory to verify it was good. I wouldnt not visit this location ever again.

This is the place that "computer guys" go when they dont know... you know besides google. They dont sell crappy hardware so if you buy something here its going to be good quality at the best price that can be obtained locally.

The manager Randall offered the work customer service I have ever experienced. They omit mistakes and do nothing to fix them. Do yourself a favor and visit 2 Geeks Computers on Spring Garden. Intrex is a joke.

I dont know what the other reviewers are talking about, but I had a great experience. The salesperson helped me find the part and sold it at a reasonable price. They also, have the best cable prices in town!

Went to get my laptops DC jack replaced. They charged $250+ for this job!! TO REPLACE A DC JACK?!! Walked right out! Tread cautiously with these guys. They literally tried to rip me off!
