I dropped my bike off on a Monday for a tune-up, and heard nothing back all week. I returned on the following Saturday, and NOTHING had been done. While waiting for my bike to be brought out from the back, the old man twice asked my boyfriend and I if we needed keys, then made a racist comment, and followed that up with another request for keys. Not sure how any of that is good for business, but if thats their strategy, good luck.

While riding on the Atlantic-Yadkin Trail, I lost a nut on the neck of my handlebar stem. I rode to the shop to see if they could help me. The mechanic looked through his spare parts, found an old stem, took the nut off it, and put it on my bike. I asked how much was it for the repair and he just shook my hand and told me to keep riding. Its always nice to find good people when you need them.

Day and a half after i was told one day. Picked it up after i was told repair was done on rear brake. Rear brake was sufficient but now the front brake was sticking AND both tires were flat. Great job. Had to go back a second time at which point because the overwhelmed "mechanic" was on lunch had to use a defective pump in a vain attempt to reinflate the tires! Never again

I had a great experience here over Christmas. We were looking for a new bike for my son and the staff went over and above what other stores did. They explained what makes a bike good and even come down on their already discounted bike. My son absolutely loved his new bike and thanks to Higgins it is one he can grow with for years to come.

A fantastic place to buy a vintage bike or parts for one, theyll give you a bargain with all sorts of used equipment. Theyve also got well priced new parts for an upgrade/replacement. Shares a facility with a locksmith, where they also sell parts aplenty for those who want to fix it themselves.

Run for your life. Incompetent employees who are rude. One big ball of carelessness. The old man is racist and his daughter is a nut case. I live in Winston and I would let my two year old try to fix my bike before I drive to Higgins again.

These folks are awesome. Very prompt, same day bike repair! We had two tune-ups and a brake job. Dropped off at 11a and picked up at 1p... on a Saturday! Best pricing in town also. Highly recommend!
