This was the most horrible experience ever. So to try to keep it sort and sweet. I met with a service advisor name Jennifer. Everything went well at the beginning. I was the first one there before 9am. I filled out some paperwork she asked me to sit inthe waiting area (which the chairs were horrible, nasty) while i waited for the financial advisor for a budget plan. Now the financial advisor which i cant remember her name was not welcoming at all. She advised me even if i was ONE DAY LATE they can come and repo my car. This was because they try to work to help build your credit up. Now what if i couldnt pay that Friday and i can Monday because of an unexpexted expense. You mean to tell me they will repo my car? Yes!!!! That was red flag one. Now i know my credit needs to be worked on so her only response was basically you have bad credit, and you would make your payments on time on the due date or expect a reposession. Lol wow. Now once i was done with the financial advisor they had me pull up paystubs from two months ago. Then Jennifer pulled two cars from the back. One was a 2008 pontiac grand pre. The other was some type of hatch back mazda. Now i looked at both cars (which im really not interested in) and go back inside. So at this point i just want to know how much a down payment will be and how much they are willing to finance. This is where it gets ugly. Jennifer says well why did you come back in and not test drive the car? Me: because i dont want to get my hopes up for something I may not get. Bascially show me the numbers. Jennifer: well all of our customers test drive cars while we finanlize things. Me: im not sure if i even want either car. What do you mean youre not sure? If you dont want the car then you dont have to get it we are trying to help you!!! Now at this point she is getting hot. She raising her voice, moving around in her seat. I say how much is the car? Now heres her manager. Well you get $10 oil changes and a three year warranty. Me: but how much is the car? Now they was about to sell me a 2008 Pontiac grand pre with over 100,000 miles at $17,000.

They sold me a junky car at a very inflated price that probably would not have lasted the full 3 year term. I dont know where they get these cars, but they all have high mileage and are close to death. And what is up with all the Fords? Everyone knows that Ford means either Failing On Road Dead, or Fix Or Repair Daily. Outrageous. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They take advantage of people with bad credit and throughout the four hour process I felt rushed and bullied to accept their deal. Never again! I am so glad to get rid of their piece of junk car and move on to Drive Time after a mechanic recommended them to me after seeing that my JDByrider car was rusted all over the undercarriage. This rating is worth more of a negative 100 stars. Now Drive Time has high interest rates too, but at least they have a much larger lot compared to the 10 cars on JDByriders lot, and they have newer cars with low mileage (my Drive Time car had only 30,000 miles and was a 2014 Kia Forte compared to my 2010 JDByrider car with 120,000 and that was considered good mileage for them). Stay far away from this auto loan shark. If you want to rebuild your credit just get a prepaid credit card and do it that way, and if you are desperate for a car, go to Drive Time and at least get your moneys worth.

I have made the worst decision of my life going to the company to buy a car. I recieved my car in January and have had to take my car back 5 times...having to deal with finding a way to and from work and anywhere else i need to go. I currently need to bring it in again for the 6th time because check engine light is on again. They call themselves "working with me" by having me pay for a rental and would be reimbursed but when youre. Barely hanging in there its hard to put more money out of pocket for a rental car. I also had to get a hold of owner to make this happen otherwise i was out of luck. To top everything off this vehicle is worth 5000 if i dont pay it earlier than 3 years i will pay 18000 for this car that is going to be broken down the second i make my last payment and i wont be covered by warranty anymore. Never go to this place unless you want to be royally screwed.

Lori was an amazing person to work with! Although she was unable to get my payment under $300 a month , she certainly worked very hard to get the payment down. The only problem i can say is i have to pay out of pocket for a key fob to open my side doors and unlock my car which is quite expensive for me. But that isnt something within HER control. JD Byrider should make sure when a vehicle comes with a key fob and they dont have possession of it they should make sure the customer gets one and JD Byrider should cover that cost. My overall experience with the sales woman Lori lewis was amazing! My overall experience with JD Byrider could have been better. I give Lori 5 stars for her awesome friendliness and hard work. But i have to give 3 stars for JD Byrider for not going the extra mile to make sure i didnt have to pay for such an expensive key!!!

My husband and I have been with JD Buyrider for two and a half years. The service has been excellent and they have gone over and beyond to keep us satisfied just picked up my car today had $500 worth of work done under warranty for $25 its just an example of how putting the customer first is there top priority! So if your looking for a vechile and your credit is less than perfect make your way on over and drive off the lot today! Oh did I mention its a great credit builder since getting my car my score has went up 80 points from paying on time and them reporting to the credit agency! HAPPY CUSTOMER DURHAM NC LOCATION!

The people are nice but the cars they sell are awful. I have not had my car a full year(bought in Dec2014) it has cut off twice, the check engine light has came on, a fan has had to be replaced, it pulls to the right and several other things. I have to pay over $300 a month for this crappy car. Since I need a car its hard getting it into the service department since they dont give you a loaner. In the end I will be paying over 10,000 for a car only worth about 2,000. I would not recommend anyone to buy a car here.

Great people to deal with. Laurie treated my wife and myself like we were royalty. She answered every question we had. Her manners and professionalism was unlike anything we had experienced at other dealers. She even texted us directions when we got lost on the way. She also followed up after the sale to make sure we were satisfied with our purchase. I could go on and on but the bottom line is if you want a car, call JD Byrider, and if youre near Durham NC ask for Laurie Lewis and you wont be disappointed.
