My experience with Leith Nissan was mixed at best. Car buying has never been fun for me or most folks I talk to, for a place that prides themselves on “Customer Satisfaction” I would say that Leith leaves a lot to be desired. Here are some tips if you are dead set on a Nissan. First, avoid the internet sales, they are a totally separate entity and really have no authority to make deal, they are there to simple get you in the door, the person I was working with was quoting inventory they didn’t even have and the price quoted was not upheld or honored. #2, Bring in competitors listed Price and negotiate from there, Leith has high sticker prices and play "this is their best offer" game often, I had to walk out three separate times and each time low and behold terms changed from list price, to trade in value to interest rate, its shame that you have to spend 4+ hours with a bunch of liars as they try to get every penny out of you, just dishonest to say this is the best, only to change it 5 minutes later. And yet they keep telling you they get 5 stars from every customer on their surveys from Nissan (more on that later). So, after the ordeal of agreeing on the price and vehicle we finally get to paperwork, this was probably the worst part of the experience, the other part is mostly a given. Specifically, the finance manager was pushing the extended warranty like no tomorrow. I think Nissan or this dealership needs to decide are they selling cars and trucks and standing behind them or are they pushing warranties and don’t think highly of their product. I mean this guy kept telling me the computer would fail or transmission would go, this and that. I finally told him if he didn’t stop I was going to leave, I was done. I just spent 5 hours haggling on price, I am not paying any more per month He asked how long I felt Nissan should be liable or stand behind their car, I told him I had (traded in a Ford, with 80K+ miles) and never had an issue, I was lucky I was told. I honestly can say after that experience, I don’t trust my new Nissan Truck, after 36K I’ll probably trade it in and get something American again, and defiantly not at Leith. The Kicker is this guy was so bitter, that he wouldn’t even shake my hand when I came to pick up the car. Lastly, as I am pulling out, one of the sales reps talks to me about their Evaluations/Surveys, that the sale is going to the first guy I worked with and that any negative feedback, no matter where would follow him, basically saying if you don’t have anything good to say, please don’t say anything, so all the high five stars etc you see when you are there are basically fake based on this experience. I will say, the first sales rep, Sean, that I worked with was great, nice and friendly and honest, the rest of the crew needs some work. We’ll see about the service department when oil change time comes, I won’t hold my breath, I still haven’t received that Nissan USA survey about my experience, 2 months later. Truck is great, as I said, I have a hard time believing in the long-term quality.

In 2006 I purchased an Xterra SE 4x4 from Leith Nissan, when they were at their Hwy. 55 location, and was extremely happy with the process then. I always took my Xterra to the Leith Nissan service department for everything (oil changes, new tires, brakes, warranty work, etc.), and had been very satisfied with how my vehicle and I were treated, and am especially fond of Donna, one of the service reps. There is always a shuttle available to take me to RTP for work, and pick me up when work on my vehicle is complete. Having had poor service experiences in the past at other dealerships, its one of the main things that makes me a loyal customer to a dealership. Fast forward to 2013, with a growing family, and my wife and I were in the market for a new family SUV. We showed up at Leith on a Friday morning, and were greeted by a sales rep, Jamon Allensworth. We explained that we were interested in the new 2014 Pathfinder. Leith seemed to have one of the larger inventories of Pathfinders in the triangle, which was nice because my wife could see what colors and features she liked. Jamon showed us the vehicles on the upper lot, and when it was clear none of those were the trim we were interested in, he drove us to the lower lot to look at a larger selection. Jamon was very knowledgable about the vehicles features, and for the few features he wasnt sure about, he was able to find answers for us. We didnt feel rushed at anypoint, each taking a few mile test drive, and we were offered bottled water on several occasions. When it came time for negotiations, we were made aware that the trim we were interested in, the SL, could be equipped with a moonroof or navigation, but not both, which required the platinum premium trim. I feel like the sales team worked with me to get the price of the next higher level trim to something my wife and I felt comfortable with and at a rate that I felt was fair. I showed up with a printout of the value of the Xterra, as determined by Kelly Blue Book, and was given a trade-in offer that I felt was very fair relative to the KBB value. The specific exterior/interior color combination we wanted was not available at Leith, but they were able to locate the exact vehicle we wanted at another dealership in the state. We were contacted the following day, Saturday, that our vehicle had arrived and was ready for us to pickup. It was an exhausting couple of days, but the entire process was quite smooth and I would not hesitate to refer somebody in the market for a new vehicle to visit Leith Nissan, and specifically Jamon. Im confident that if we experience any issues with our new Pathfinder, they will be addressed as effectively as any we had with our previous vehicle. For the forseeable future, Leith Nissan has my familys business.

This was one of my best experience of buying a car. I was in search of a new Nissan Frontier and looked at several dealerships. I had found 3 dealerships with trucks matching what I was looking for. One being the my local dealership (less than 5 minutes from my house). I had purchased two vehicles from my local dealership in the past, but I decide to give another dealership the opportunity to earn my business. One of the other dealerships that had what I was looking for was Leith Nissan (Cary, NC). I had heard Bob from the Bob and the Showgram talk several times on the radio of his great experience at the dealership and I was wanting to see if there was truth behind his story. I contacted the Sales Manager Bonnie Gramling directly via email on my interest in one of their trucks. Shortly later I received a call from Bonnie, she was very polite and willing to help. She gathered some information on my trade from me and what I was needing to make a deal happen. Shortly after talking with her, I received an email from her showing me some figures. The price I received was close to what I was wanting. With the price being better than others I had received, I knew it was worth the drive to the dealership. I setup an appointment though Bonnie with salesman John Felten. Once I arrived at the dealership I was greeted by John and Bonnie. During the test drive John was polite and not overwhelming. He allowed me time to look over the truck and ask any questions I might have. John is the type person that wants to make sure you are happy and not just trying to push something on to you. Once back inside Bonnie ask me what I thought of the truck and we proceeded to discuss the price. I explained what I needed and within minutes Bonnie and John brought me a sales agreement showing the price I had ask for. This was the easiest time I have ever had settling on a price. None of that back and forth number games. They took what I was needing and made it happen. I can say now if you are in the market to by a new car Leith Nissan should be your first stop. I have never written a review on a place before, but I have to share this great experience with others and give Bonnie and John the great review they earned. From start to finish of the deal, I cannot think of one thing that could have been improved. Chris Wasz even made the financial paperwork process painless(which is a hard thing to do). So please give the Leith Nissan team a chance to earn your business.
